| Oct 4 14:20:13 | LANDSLIDE | ♥ 1 | This is a really innovative application of the theme, the tile-pillars look so good as the segments collapsed. And it really felt satisfying throwing the enemy off the edge, of watching the pillar they're climbing collapse. I also liked the art. As others have said it was a little hard to see your character and tell where the hitbox was when you were pushing. Great job overall, lots of fun! | |
| Oct 4 14:33:50 | 13m 37s | Rusher Crusher | ♥ 4 | Oh man, this was FUN! Exactly my type of game. Tremendously satisfying gameplay loop. It seemed a little strange to me that you keep your money, but not your upgrades when you transition between levels? I guess the player would get too overpowered too quickly if they kept their upgrades. Sometimes you couldn't hit the enemy at the very top/bottom if they were really close to you, so I always went for those first and saved the middle for last. The pixels turning 3D(2.5D?) when they break away from the enemy was an amazing effect and looks great! Really nice job. |
| Oct 4 15:16:59 | 43m 09s | Auto Endeck | ♥ 1 | This was a fun turn-based battle game. I'm may have missed the implementation of the theme, was there something happening every 10 seconds that I missed? Might be good to add a description/images to the page so people know what to expect in the game. Overall, the art-style was nice and the combat was solid/balanced. Nice work! |
| Oct 5 08:09:46 | 16h 52m | J-Menuing | ♥ 2 | Initially I thought this was quite simplistic, but as the mechanics get added (Enemy Types, Interface switches etc.) it really does a nice job of steadily ramping up the difficulty. Really liked the classic JRPG feel as well. It did feel like more of the game was spent waiting for your character animations to end so you could take another action, rather than using the core mechanic of the menu navigation. Did you ever consider not having to wait for animations, while having more enemies to account for the extra time? It seems like that may have been more engaging. Although, I understand that's a staple of the genre you were staying true to, rather than anything specific to your game. Overall really nice, especially for a compo submission. |
| Oct 5 08:25:24 | 15m 38s | Barricaded | ♥ 0 | This one was really polished, and the graphics/audio were great. Maybe if there was some indication as to which survivor you switched to next? Because currently you have to just learn the order after a few transitions take place. Overall, very fun and intuitive. Nice work! |
| Oct 5 08:31:53 | 6m 29s | ZombieGrade | ♥ 1 | That one was a lot of fun! It was really satisfying as you stacked up more and more upgrades. The graphics/audio were simple but functional. The magic bullet /blood splatter effects in particular looked great. It would have been nice to have a running kill count, so I would know how I was comparing to my previous run instead of having to find out at the end. And it was sometimes a little hard to see how much health I had left through the grass. But overall, really enjoyed this one. Nice work! |
| Oct 5 08:37:02 | 5m 09s | Watch Wizard | ♥ 1 | Incredibly creative idea! I might download the emulator later and check it out, but loved the video. Absolutely nailed the theme, and as others are saying I haven't seen anything like this in this jam (Or any others I've participated in). The graphics were cute as well, really impressive. |
| Oct 5 08:54:34 | 17m 32s | Toad Cat's Cemetary Watch | ♥ 1 | This one kept me engaged for a while, really addictive! Art style was great, and it was really satisfying getting more and more upgrades as time went on. Really solid application of the theme! After a while, I had to turn the sound off because the constant enemy death noises were getting to be too much. Good idea putting the volume control in the pause menu so I didn't have to end my run! Really nice job guys, this was fun. Untitled.png |
| Oct 5 09:08:54 | 14m 20s | UAO?P | ♥ 3 | The visuals are great, and the game is hilariously weird. As others have said, it's a bit hard to appreciate all the flavour text in the 10 second windows, but otherwise this was a lot of fun! Really polished experience. Nice job guys. |
| Oct 6 19:11:20 | 34h 02m | Bear's Home Repairs | ♥ 6 | Even for a large dev team, this was an ambitious game for 72 hours and you totally pulled it off. The mechanics and weapons/upgrades were all intuitive (The only thing I couldn't figure out is what the Battery upgrade did?), and the application of the theme was obvious. The graphics in general were really good, especially the enemy death animation. And it was incredibly satisfying slicing through them with the katana! My only comment is maybe there should have been a score/kill count of some kind? You're you're incentivised to play again and try to beat your highscore? Minor criticism of an overall great game. Really nice work! |
| Oct 6 19:23:01 | 11m 41s | Acid Rain | ♥ 1 | Nice job on this one, the premise/storyline was hilarious and otherwise a really solid platformer. The audio and graphics were great too, and considering how much time you have to spend waiting for the rain to end, it's good that you had a strong idle animation for the character. Also, I thought it was a really good idea to include a death count and invite players to try again once they finish the game, adding some replayability. I've enjoyed your previous entries, and you've made a strong transition from Jam -> Compo with this one. Really nice work! |
| Oct 6 19:31:51 | 8m 50s | Chrono Extractors | ♥ 0 | Aside from some slight balancing issues (And I can't really fault you for that in a compo game), this was a really great experience! I really liked the take on the theme, and the satisfaction of increasing your revenue stream/soldier count as the game went on. I would have preferred if the timer had been limited to 1 or 2 decimal places, since the flickering from it dropping/adding decimals was a bit distracting. But otherwise the graphics were really solid, and complemented the audio in producing a cohesive mood. Really strong entry, nice work! |
| Oct 6 19:39:34 | 7m 43s | 10 Seconds Defense | ♥ 1 | Really creative application of the theme. Loved the random map generation layout! I feel like it's always worse to upgrade towers instead of building a new one? And then you can't keep up with the enemies once you have to start upgrading towers? Still, it was really satisying to have a fully-upgraded tower blasting enemies rapid-fire from across the map. You made it really intuitive when the towers were ready to fire/on cooldown, and I think for the low resolution, readability is important so you handled that nicely. Fun game, nice work! |
| Oct 6 19:49:48 | 10m 14s | Swamp Dojo | ♥ 1 | The art in this one is fantastic! Especially the background, and the animation of the sensei once you throw him in the water. The blocking was really fun, but for the attacking it was to fast to tell where he was defending and I ended up just alternating up and down to consistently push him back. It would be nice to have multiple difficulty levels, as the baseline is pretty easy and makes for too short an experience. I think you're really onto something with the core mechanic. Really nice work! |
| Oct 6 19:59:32 | 9m 44s | Citri Plays Noirwood | ♥ 0 | Graphics were great, and the ending was really solid! It wasn't clear to me what influenced the viewer count, but it was a really fun experience. Nice! |
| Oct 7 15:46:27 | 19h 46m | Exorcist Patrol | ♥ 2 | This one was awesome! I love the graphics/aesthetic, and the audio really suited the mood as well. Really innovative application of the theme, the combat system was so fun and creative. Nice job! |
| Oct 7 16:04:22 | 17m 55s | Ravening Edge | ♥ 1 | This one was awesome! The combat was smooth/satisfying, the graphics were great and the audio suited the game well. The extra weapon + boss fight in the last level were really unexpected. The variety of enemies was also impressive for a gamejam, really solid entry. |
| Oct 7 16:11:04 | 6m 42s | The Show Must Go On! 🥁 | ♥ 2 | Really like this one, cute and creative take on the theme with awesome graphics/style. Nice work! |
| Oct 8 19:33:25 | 27h 22m | Jump in the line | ♥ 1 | This was a super relaxing experience with a great atmosphere. Everything about it felt so satisfying. I wasn't sure what was occurring every 10 seconds, so the application of the theme may have gone over my head (I'll take your word for it that things WERE happening 😄), but otherwise a fantastic game. Great job! JumpInTheLine.png |
| Oct 8 19:40:12 | 6m 47s | Lavender Crush | ♥ 1 | This game looks and feels great, the transition effect between bosses is really cool! I had the ghost and the witch bosses figured out, but after hitting them maybe five times each I wasn't sure if it was possible to beat them or if the game keeps going? For the crab, I thought maybe you're meant to keep hitting the claws until they loop around and hit him? Since they seem to curve back towards him if you keep hitting them? I couldn't get it to work but am I on the right track? Overall, I really liked this one. Love the graphics, and the player character is so cute. Great work guys! |
| Oct 12 21:03:58 | 97h 23m | Forging Through Fire | ♥ 1 | Really liked this one! Good level design for a gamejam. Solid application of the theme. Nice work! |
| Oct 12 21:05:15 | 1m 17s | 10s Bar Brawl | ♥ 3 | Really solid entry with obvious application of the theme, the melee weapons were really satisfying. Game had a cool and consistent vibe, nice work! |
| Oct 12 21:06:11 | 56s | The Temple of KnowlEGG | ♥ 1 | This one was really cool! It was fun playing around with the different combinations of powers to solve the levels. Really interesting take on the theme, I enjoyed it. Nice work! |
| Oct 13 14:37:01 | 17h 30m | Birdwatching | ♥ 1 | Really relaxing vibe, nice to feel like I know a little more about birds now. Nice work! |
| Oct 13 14:39:07 | 2m 06s | Impending Doom of a Thousand Kitties | ♥ 2 | Love the graphics! The cats look so cute when you pick them up! Great work on this one. |
| Oct 13 14:43:21 | 4m 14s | Game Name | ♥ 2 | This game was hilarious! I was really impressed by the variety of the minigames (Such as including lunch and sleeping as the activities). Really great idea for the theme, loved it! |
| Oct 13 14:47:33 | 4m 12s | autoball | ♥ 1 | Addictive game built from simple and satifying mechanics. Nice work! |
| Oct 13 14:51:29 | 3m 56s | Rockatoo | ♥ 0 | Creative and fun, with great music. Nice one! |
| Oct 13 14:54:26 | 2m 57s | Bygone Melodies | ♥ 1 | Loved the art style and the story! Great entry. |

| Oct 14 20:49:51 | 29h 48m | Holospecter | ♥ 2 | Really impressive level design, loved the graphics and the voice acting. |
| Oct 14 20:52:12 | 2m 21s | 10 Second Traffic | ♥ 2 | Fun game, sound effects were hilarious! Loved the little "Beep" noise the cars make. |
| Oct 14 20:55:18 | 3m 06s | Sweet Seconds | ♥ 1 | Loved the graphics and the user interface! Really nice, relaxing vibe. Great job! |
| Oct 14 20:58:12 | 2m 54s | It Adds Up Over Time | ♥ 1 | Chaotic and fun, really nice work! |
| Oct 14 21:06:03 | 7m 51s | Simple Geometry | ♥ 1 | Really like the concept, it's super satisfying to clear a room with a single attack. The telegraphing of the projectile's path and the hit-circle's telling you who would be hit made the combat intuitive as well. Nice work! |
| Oct 14 21:10:34 | 4m 31s | 10 Second Mixtape | ♥ 3 | I recognise the collaborative element from your previous "Different Strokes" at play here as well, I love being connected to my fellow jam-participants in this way. So thank you for that experience, great idea, fantastic execution. |
