Really cute and funny game, the visual and sound design are on-point. The mechanic of choosing different powers in order is really simple and easy to understand, but really interesting. (For context, I got about four levels in.) Awesome job incorporating the theme as well!
Fun game, got to the first egg shooting level were they weren't shooting. Probably me being dumb so I'm not letting that affect my score.

Thanks for the review, @jacob-schick! Would you please provide more detail about this bug? When you pressed the E button to shoot, did you hear anything or did nothing happen?
Now I know the truth of egg and chicken! Very funny game and polished music, love the artstyle too!

Nice game and a fun idea. I really love the mechanic where you have to change the order you sue power up. Very nice use of the theme and very cool level design. I did run into quite a few bugs like the buttons not resetting when I die making levels then super easy or else impossible, I clipped through platforms a lot too like the spikes that move and the spinning platform in the last level.
The best part was definitely the chicken singing along with the music. Great work!

guys, we'd been speedrunning levels again and again, cause game was crashing on some certain levels and we couldn't restart level (from the fifth level and so on), BUT we almost did it to the end (just got tired a little bit from restarting the game), controls seemed to be hard but something shifted, when we faced the main bug.. anyway, this was a fun experience indeed, the idea is great! i hope, you'll polish it a little bit, make less sensitive controls and it'll be the funniest game, i swear!
The mechanic of queuing up different powers to use was interesting and has a lot of potential. However it can feel a bit guess-and-check at times.
I think the platforming could've used much more time in the oven. Gravity feels very strong, jumps are quite low and if you don't hold the button for the whole time you basically get flung downwards, and the speed up power makes movement almost uncomfortably fast, especially since you accelerate pretty much instantly.
I liked the hectic music and sound effects.
Neat game, good work.
I really like the idea here, but there were a few bugs such as health not refreshing on some restarts and I wasn't sure if speed running against a wall was supposed to let you climb it.
It would be great if we could preview the level before picking the powers, otherwise the first run is a guess.
Escape is also not the best choice of menu button, as it'll first exit full screen mode.
In all, some minor issues but a great jam game.
Nice game ! I really liked the humor and the jukebox feature is a nice touch. I couldn't pass the second level as it felt I was missing a power to jump further but I could just go faster... Also I tend to give up pretty fast and I probably missed something. Well done !

Nice game, Has a decent level of polish. The spikes were all too wide, making them need almost pixel perfect jumps to get past. Also escape exits fullscreen mode which makes it a bad choice for opening the menu. The game died on me in the death menu on level 5, The buttons get darker when I click them but did nothing.
Awesome bgm, and I love the little hops the chicken fella does when you beat a level :) Got stuck after I died on level 4 and neither of the restart options worked, tried again (restarted the itch.io page), got to level 5, same deal

Made me think of Chicken on the original Atari, which I loved and am sad I can't play again. Glad I got to reexperience in this!

Honestly not sure what to make of it. I got to level 3 and I have no idea how you're supposed to cross the two spike pits at the beginning without taking damage (even putting Speed in both my powerup slots didn't give me enough horizontal velocity to clear them), nor can I reach the end of the level before the two big walls close in and cut off the exit (the timing of the vertical lifts is inconvenient enough that I find myself running down the timer waiting for them to arrive at my level).
I feel like there might be a solid game here, but the third level feels like somewhere between a brick wall and a joke at my expense.
This one was really cool! It was fun playing around with the different combinations of powers to solve the levels. Really interesting take on the theme, I enjoyed it. Nice work!
This is a nice entry! I really liked the graphics and the music, and the idea of queueing the powers gave it a sense of strategy also once I got to a level where I had more powers.
The controls seemed a bit unforgiving, though, which made the jumps a bit hard - especially with the speed power-up - and although there were 3 lives, it felt like dying on e.g. the third level on the spikes in the beginning already meant you were missing the timing and wouldn't reach the platforms in time later. In the submission build there were some glitches with the movement, i.e. I got stuck on some platforms, but I believe those were fixed for the bugfix build.
Anyway, this was a game that I enjoyed playing. A great effort!

Aside from the movement feeling stiff due to the gravity being too strong (plus moving platforms being buggy) and the fact that you systematically pick the wrong powers on your first time hitting a level, with the level design expecting you to figure out a specific build order without hinting you of what is to come, I really liked this one!
The art and music are great, the fantasy and mood being so nonsensical had me playing with a smile from ear to ear, and the little flavor texts below each power as well as the ending gave me a good laugh.
The concept itself is a solid interpretation of the theme, but it is really the humor and neuron-frying spirit of this submission that caught me!
Well done, congrats to you 3!
Took me a while to understand the power mechanic, but once I understood the game was great!

Lots of nice details, such as changing the music with specific powers. Beautiful graphics!
Loved it! One of the strongest submissions I've played. Side note - on the bug-fixed version I was unable to continue after dying starting on level 5. Finished the game in the buggy version, heh. Overall - very nice work!
