Forecast Folly by RetroSpecter 2023-05-02T20:12:30Z

Good fun for a couple playthroughs to see both endings! I really like the art style, and the weatherman is a very expressive and characterful protagonist for the game, and I was rooting for the poor fellow from the beginning. The audio design was lovely in its simplicity, and the frog sound effect was my absolute favorite! The gameplay was intuitive and the instructions were included very naturally into the beginning. The city names were fun, and the jab at game industry was a good one. Now I almost want to see how he fares in that career!

Stand And Deliver by snail 2023-05-02T21:05:57Z

A nice, working idea, and a comprehensive tutorial. The pencil on paper graphics give the game a very unique look.

wizard path by slimetrash 2023-05-02T20:35:51Z

I thoroughly enjoyed the audio, graphics and the mood, but I had to look through the comments section to figure out the controls, as they are in no way indicated inside the game nor the description, apart from level skips. When I got around to playing it, it was a nice little puzzle game. The mechanic of directing the wizard was pretty neat once I figured it out, and worked well overall.

The Night Witches by Kultuk 2023-05-02T20:58:21Z

"The wind will whisper when the Night Witches come..." A neat piece of war history to make a small puzzle game on! The simple visual style was nice and retro, and the audio was well matched to it. The puzzles were of suitable challenge too. I would have been nice if you were able to look at the mission first, and press a button to start it, because a couple of them were confusing at first. The player place could have been different colored (would have been beneficial especially in the last mission), and it might have been worth noting that the mission ends if you fly over the edge. Those are however very minor detractors, and overall you did a very nice job with the game!

Valhalla Calling by Aviv Levy 2023-05-02T21:20:39Z

Love me some Norse mythology! The audiovisual experience is nice, and the somber music is fitting in its own way, though I was expecting something a bit more lively from a survival game like this. Gameplay is very challenging with the short range of attack, very short wind-up animations on their attack and no stagger mechanic, especially since it isn't enough to just put the enemy down, but you need to have enough time to send them off to Valhalla too. Made it to wave 6 on my first proper try, and I wish there was some way to heal in between levels. It would have also been nice to have the controls shown in-game somewhere, because I didn't think to scroll down for them at first. Overall a working game, and very good job putting this together in 72 hours! Till Valhalla!

Summoner Clicker by Becher 2024-04-16T12:02:35Z

Interesting take on an idler with nice graphics, and fun to see an idea my team considered initially too ("cultist clicker"). I wound up playing it until I had all the upgrades!

Some kind of a brief tutorial or explanation on how things work would have been nice, especially the chickens, runes and chaos - I figured it all out eventually, but I was a bit confused at first. Would have also been nice if the summoned things appeared visually in some way, somewhere, even as a simple tally. The game would also have benefited greatly from even a simple background music track!

Mechanically the game is sound, and the player interacting with both the heart's collection rate and the progress of upgrades (while catching chicken cultists) was a nice, engaging addition, and the rising runes were a very satisfying visual que. It was also an interesting sub-game in itself to balance between more chaos pumping blood into the heart and swords extracting it, so as to not waste influx of chaos or the efficiency of the swords! The visuals and theme instantly drew me in, and kept me engaged.
