A very simple but well executed mechanic. I like the seamless transition between sections. I think the one thing that makes this tricky is the camera angle. Because it is tilted, you sometimes can't tell if your shot will hit. Maybe an effect a goon when they are in the trajectory would be helpful.

Really great presentation overall! Sometimes it can be frustrating when it shot misses, but it looks like it will hit! Maybe if there was some particle or glow when the shot will hit a dude

Incredible work y'all, I don't think I've ever seen this level of environment design in a jam game before! The camera movement and transitions were smooth as heck, and shooting a bunch of guys with one bullet is so satisfying!

I personally got stuck on one of the shots on the third level, since needing to replay the entire level for each attempt is pretty punishing.

Overall, a fantastic entry, great job!

Incredible presentation for a very fun idea!

I wish I had a bit more clarity if my shots were going to hit or not-- sometimes I would line up a shot that felt like a miss but was actually a hit, and vise versa.

Also _tiny_ UX nit: You have N for next level, R to restart, and Space to start the level, why not just bind all of those to Left Mouse Button? The whole rest of the game is played with the mouse so I found myself having to take my hand off the mouse to hit R and Space every time I messed up.

very interesting concept! Sometimes I didn't knew what I was supose to do but overall I had fun! Great job guys!

Cute Game. I like quick puzzles like this. It feels good to bounce projectiles around in any game.

There's a very brief story, but it's nice to move throughout a level instead of just jumping from one random scenario to the next.

The green targeting circle is a very good addition for this game.

I played on this site's 1.05.

I found that sometimes despite a green targeting circle, a shot will just pass through an enemy without damaging it. Sometimes it was during an enemy animation, sometimes on the very edge of a hitbox (and thus possibly a true invalid hit), but sometimes it just went right through the middle, with a green circle, without any interaction.

It was annoying on the last level to replay the rest of the level. This is just a quick jam, but I would like a way to speed up the brief walking sections. Also, because the camera orients itself to a proper position within the first couple seconds of a 'shot', you can't properly aim, and it gets annoying over repetition when you can't properly aim for all of the ten allotted seconds. I would like to see where people are briefly (an establishing shot?), then use all ten seconds at my disposal.

Maybe there should be a sort of 'shot confirmation'. Holding down the button, or a quick warning on a bad shot. When some shots require a very specific angle, an involuntary gesture can make you replay the whole dang last level.

I had fun, and I wish you many more ratings.

I like the idea! I think the camera transitions while trying to aim make it too difficult with only 10 seconds but it makes the game feel very nice (:

Looks really slick, and plays well. My only complaint is that the aiming starts while the camera is still moving, which made me want to aim right away but would also make me miss a lot of my shots.

Wow, really great job with this! The game looks amazing, and it's super fun to line up the perfect shot! I couldn't get past one spot where there were a ton of enemies, it was definitely a little frustrating to get sent to the start of the level and have to wait through each one when you know how to do them exactly. But hey this was a blast! Excellent job!

icxon 2022-10-13 05:32

The game is too easy - my thought on my first few fights. The game is too hard - my though on my last fight

Here is my playtest:

Very well executed! I am amazed with how polished the game is.

babbersher 2022-10-13 08:16

Nice game. The best of ideas are often the simplest ones! This game, with simple mechanics, manages to be super fun. I hope that you will keep working on this as I see a lot of potential here.

mandytoh 2022-10-13 12:26

That's a really good one, a little bit frustrating, due to the hitbox, but a nice concept, and a great production !

sailors 2022-10-13 20:50

I just can't get over how amazing the transitions of camera. I adored the game!!

kushimoto 2022-10-14 17:49

Thank you for all the constructive criticism. We definitely agree that starting the timer at the end of camera rotation is an issue we would have loved to address. We apologize for how this negatively impacts the fairness of the game. However, we are very grateful for the positive responses.

Thanks, @icxon for sticking with it for so long. Sorry that you were not able to figure out the last puzzle :C

skyward4d 2022-10-14 21:06

Really like the concept, it's super satisfying to clear a room with a single attack. The telegraphing of the projectile's path and the hit-circle's telling you who would be hit made the combat intuitive as well. Nice work!

shadowcast 2022-10-15 07:34

The environmental art is quite on point. Not sure how the "every" in "every 10s" is stressed, but the gameplay is solid, the idea is cool, and everything is super polished. Well done.

mikropiru 2022-10-15 08:56

This looks really interesting and I would've loved to try this! I just don't happen to have a Windows machine, so couldn't — which of course isn't your fault in any way so this is not a blame. :-D So, unfortunately I can't really rate it but I did watch _icxon_'s playtest video and this looks amazing!

Btw, you could perhaps add the platform to the description to make it clearer?

delpod 2022-10-17 15:46

Nice idea, doesn't fully utilize the theme as it's not "every" 10 seconds, but it's still very cool use of 10 seconds. Don't get me wrong, I like the gameplay very much and I think this is very well crafted game. The last fight is very hard as I think there was only one very tight spot to get it right, the camera still moving at the beginning of the fight didn't help and took a precious second. I really liked the mood you built here. This is a solid entry, I liked it a lot.
