| Apr 4 21:24:45 | Whoa! It's like a space game or something! | ♥ 1 | I am impressed by how much you have done in such a short amount of time. Love these kind of strategy exploration game and I can see myself investing a lot of time on it. If you don't mind a few feedback: I find myself keep forgetting how to navigate the GUI or the meaning of each icon. A suggestion would be to display a description when the player hover the mouse over said icon. I think some polishing of the GUI could bring the game up a notch. The other minor suggestion is the key mappings. I am aware that you make it possible to remap the key, but the default Enter key is a little far from the rest of the buttons, maybe consider using the space bar as the default conformation button instead? I hope you don't take my comment too harshly, I really enjoyed the game. | |
| Apr 4 21:42:46 | 18m 01s | Circuits | ♥ 1 | Would you consider to make a linux or web build? I would love to try out your game. |
| Apr 4 21:53:34 | 10m 48s | Cursed Unicorn | ♥ 1 | Love Vampire Survivor. The space is a little small and I was quickly overwhelmed by the enemies. I think with more upgrades and some balancing of the enemy spawning the game could be really fun! |
| Apr 5 09:49:19 | 11h 55m | Pizza Gal | ♥ 2 | Really like your interpretation of the theme, and not resorting to an endless survival game. The art and cut scene is beautifully drawn and the instructions are very clear. I am very impressed by the amount of assets you have made in such a short time, you even have an ending card! A minor feedback is to lean on your art strength by having icons of the character on the GPS instead of the triangle or a little more polish/design to the UI of the GPS. I really enjoyed playing it! (My final score is 2750, not sure how it fare) |
| Apr 5 10:12:11 | 22m 52s | Wrath of Dog | ♥ 2 | I didn't see the twist coming from such a cute looking game. The mechanics is really fun to play with and the music and sound design are on point. The only suggestion I have is to work on improving the movement physics. AFAIK, there are some great platformer library for Unity (such as the one by Tarodev) and could greatly benefit the controls. Overall a very fun game, it took me around 10 minutes to beat the game! |
| Apr 5 19:38:55 | 9h 26m | lose95 | ♥ 2 | Love the concept and brilliantly executed. The game does a great job explaining the rules and introducing the items and enemies one by one. The UI feels smooth and polish and the sound design is great. This is definitely one of my favorite entries so far. |
| Apr 5 19:43:01 | 4m 06s | Seed Of Time | ♥ 2 | Would you consider making a Linux or a web build? I would love to try out the game. |
| Apr 5 20:00:05 | 17m 04s | Tamaghost Jump! | ♥ 2 | Love the atmosphere you have created (I expect nothing less from the creator of Project Kat!). Really like the art style and I did not expect the game to become so spooky at the end there! I thoroughly enjoyed playing it. |
| Apr 5 21:27:16 | 1h 27m | Somnokid | ♥ 2 | Love this game to bits! The production quality is off the roof and to think that this in made in 72 hours!? The game has a surprising amount of depth given it's a shmup where I keep trying different strategy to beat the levels. It took me about one hour to complete the game. I don't have a lot of feedback other than the spring physics takes a bit to get use to (but even that is fun to play with). This is by far the best game I have played in the jam. |
| Apr 5 23:10:07 | 1h 42m | I Don't Wanna Reincarnation | ♥ 2 | I really like the doodle aesthetic of the game and I love how you incorporated the theme into a choose your own adventure game. I didn't notice the days I have left on my first playthrough and I was a little confused when I game over. My suggestion would be having the three currencies: Days left, Karma, and Money be placed at the right or middle of the screen (instead of left) so that it is closer to where the player is reading. Overall a very charming game. |
| Apr 6 18:00:19 | 18h 50m | The Flower of Marasca | ♥ 1 | Yay, a fellow TIC-80 dev! I really like the theme with the metroidvania dungeon exploration and the execution is great! I played the tic.com version of the game (not sure if there's any difference) and I wasn't sure what to do after I got the flower and used it. Pretty sure I am stuck at that point, so I modify the code to execute the ending :) There are also a few clipping issue when I use the feather but that's not too big of a deal. There's a point where I used up all my fire power and died before getting the check point, so it makes replaying the stage without the fire a little difficult. A suggestion would be to have a minimum cap of the number of power ups when the player dies? Overall, it's a great game and I have fun playing it! |
| Apr 9 13:17:25 | 67h 17m | Hex'd | ♥ 1 | Tiles and sprites are beautifully made, music is really good too. The platforming is a little difficult, especially in tight spaces. It is also a little confusing that sometimes the timer decreases faster but sometimes slower. I think some tweaking of the difficulty curve could benefit the game. Still, impressive game for such a short time. |
| Apr 9 13:29:46 | 12m 21s | Rise n Time | ♥ 1 | Fast pace and really fun to play. I love the aesthetic of the dream realm and the music is great. The only feedback I have is maybe normalize the diagonal movement speed? I think the game can benefit from some precise platforming. Impressive Compo entry! |
| Apr 9 13:59:35 | 29m 49s | Dyker | ♥ 1 | Very innovative game play and great use of the theme. The item description is easy to understand and having the time only passes when the player start doing stuff is also really nice. I was a little overwhelmed at first but the first few levels are very lean and give you ample time to learn, and when I got to the last level, it left me wanting more! I think slowly introducing the actions to the player could make the game more approachable. Great game overall, I enjoyed playing it. |
| Apr 9 20:31:43 | 6h 32m | Legman's Breakout | ♥ 1 | Interesting spin on the classic game. Having the terrain changes over time in a breakout game is really interesting and I can see a lot of potential with the premise. I think the movement can be improve by making it more snappy. Fun little game. |
| Apr 9 21:15:36 | 43m 53s | RUN COFFEE RUN | ♥ 1 | The art design is great and I love the count down with the eye closing. I find the game a little difficult, the timer is quite tight but mainly because of the spacious room and I am not sure where I should go or if what I do is intended or not. |
| Apr 16 20:03:17 | 166h 47m | Les Aventures de De Lay L'InĂ©vitable! | ♥ 1 | Neat little game. Love the different characters and the particle effect is very satisfying. |
| Apr 17 21:47:38 | 25h 44m | Aloft | ♥ 3 | Took me about 30 minutes to clear all the levels. The credit scene is really beautiful, and I love the choice of font you use. The game is quite challenging, but reasonable once I got use to the controls. My only suggestion is to make the spike hit boxes a little more lenient, so the game feels more fair to the player. |
| Apr 17 21:55:16 | 7m 38s | Sandwich Drop | ♥ 1 | Love the hand drawn cutscene, made me lol. |
| Apr 17 22:22:29 | 27m 13s | Shepherd's Island | ♥ 2 | I love the puzzles. The premises are simple and easy to understand, and I am impressed by the puzzles you made out of it. The solutions are very cleaver and satisfying. Also, happy to see a game made with love2d. |
| Apr 18 08:47:22 | 10h 24m | Holding On | ♥ 1 | Really like the atmosphere and story you have created. I think some small animations on the character and background would make the scene more alive. The tower defence part is a little on the simpler side, but I still have plenty of fun. |
| Apr 18 11:25:24 | 2h 38m | Akashica | ♥ 1 | I have not played a lot of TTRPG, so I am not sure what the different stats do and how they affect the progression. The mood is great, I think some sound effect such as door opening would add another layer of immersion to the game. The final Endless staircase is really cool and had me for a second. I thought I was stuck or needed some item to progress. Very cool entry. |
| Apr 18 18:36:39 | 7h 11m | JellyJam | ♥ 1 | The game is fun to play, and I really like the shader and colour palette. I think adding some obstacles could make the game a lot more interesting. I love that you gave the jellyfish expressions >,< |
| Apr 18 18:44:33 | 7m 54s | Sweet Bedtime O' Mine | ♥ 0 | Cute little game. I really like the pixel art title screen and the end card. The scratching attack is a little difficult to use, but I was able to beat the game after a few tries. I also find that not getting the movement speed power up help with the controls a lot. |
