Oct 6 00:03:10 Hands on Work ♥ 2 I loved how the decent into chaos resulted in me laughing like a mad man. This is a fun, simple game to pass the time, definitely going to play this one again and again.
Oct 6 05:23:18 5h 20m HYPER-LÜP ♥ 2 Gave me nostalgia of games I played as a kid. While the controls are tricky (I'm using keyboard) I felt it added to the style of games I played back then. Did discover it was possible to get your vehicle to land on its side by just clipping the cliff face at the right angle. It did result in not being able to do any more or even restart the game. Then again I serves me right for seeing if it was possible to get airborne in a game where staying on the track was the goal. Now to go back and see if I can beat 75000.
Oct 6 06:05:18 42m 00s PARAM ♥ 1 I could easily lose myself just running around the life cycle, surrounded by the black orbs (seemed to feel they were souls) with the music going. Didn't think I would like a game which was "artsy". This proved me wrong. As already said, WOW this is an awesome game.
Oct 6 06:22:32 17m 14s The Nightmare ♥ 1 At first I felt the mouse sensitivity was too high, until the creature started chasing me. It really added to the feeling of panic. While I'm not a fan of horror games just finding the first note makes me want to try again. Probably tomorrow... in the middle of the day... in a well lit room... with a blanket to hide under.
Oct 7 01:54:22 19h 31m SnakeLoops ♥ 1 While you said the wrapping feels sticky to me it combined with the sound just made me think of moving a balloon snake through the levels. That coupled with the confetti seemed to give it a feeling of frivolity, so even as I was near the end of level 3 and started to slip back down to the bottom it seemed more playful than frustrating. "Go on cheeky snake! You can reach it!" - My 4 year old watching me play
Oct 7 03:22:40 1h 28m Mirror Space ♥ 1 I enjoyed playing this game. As others have already pointed out it is difficult to figure out how to play this game. However once I worked it out I started with working on a strategy to go further, after figuring out the clones I was able to work out how to get unstuck from the loop. To answer your question in the game description, it took 10 iterations on my second playthrough. Red blocks were on my side.
Oct 7 03:56:57 34m 17s GLITCH LOOP ♥ 1 I hope you continue to work on this so we can get more levels to play. Loved the music, graphics and the puzzles. I especially like the design of the puzzles where each prepares you for the next. Now back to figuring out how the black suited clone reacts to the asymmetrical path of 2-3 so I can progress.
Oct 7 05:12:26 1h 15m Caterpillar Dissent: Deliverance ♥ 2 My thought process playing this the first time: 1. The caterpillar moves so slow. (didn't try the sprint the whole game) 2. Rolling around is quicker and fun, even if difficult. 3. Imagine seeing this big caterpillar crawling down the street. (was about the size of the large rock) 4. Why do I need to try and be a butterfly. I am the caterpillar god!!! (caterpillar starts ascending to the heavens) 5. Oh, right. I wasn't supposed to eat the skyscraper (game crashed) 6. I wanna be a giant, flying caterpillar god again (restarts game) The art assets are brilliant and the music just adds to the humor. While there are a some control issues and it isn't what you originally hoped for this is still amazing to play. You should be proud of what you accomplished in the short time you had to finish this.
Oct 7 23:22:03 18h 09m This House Looks Familiar ♥ 1 You absolutely nailed the mood with the music loop. When it cut out the as I started the second loop it set me on edge for the rest of the game. Even caught myself asking if a really did grab the key just before the console did. When the voices started I got into the corridor as soon as I can to back up to the wall thinking I was in for a scare. Found there was one wall with no collision on it and fell out of the map. It does have the feel there was more you wanted to do but as you said time can cause some ideas to be cut, a short back and forth conversation with the console would be fun along with different endings. Overall it was a brilliant experience to... I 4g0t what I w@s 5ay1ng
Oct 8 01:10:43 1h 48m Memoirs ♥ 1 Loved the hand drawn art style. Mixed with the descriptions of each of the items really came across as an interactive memoir. Thank you so much for giving me the opportunity to relax and explore these memories.
Oct 8 04:59:21 3h 48m proceed ♥ 1 Interesting puzzle game. The clues were very cryptic but after a little bit of time thinking I managed to figure them out. The "disrespecting the box" one took me a bit to work out, along with making sure I put everything back. I think I also sequenced braked with the red ball, I saw something red and clicked, was a little confusing until I read some the comments you've posted. All in all the mood was well done and the music certainly added to it, my only suggestion would be something to let the player know they had completed the game. I originally thought the game crashed and was confused, again until I read the comments section then it cleared it all up. With the changes you've said you would like to do in a post-jam version and some additional levels this would become a game I will be sinking quite a bit of time into.
Oct 8 22:56:43 17h 57m Loop Lock Malfunction ♥ 2 The graphics are stunning and polished with fun gameplay. I was worried it might not run on my 6 year old laptop but I had no issues (downloaded the executable). The music ramping up as the enemies appeared added to the feeling of intensity in combat. I struggled with the combat but it was more due to how I tend to play games, taking it slow and methodical. This game really leans towards going fast to make the most of the slide mechanic. My only criticism would be how sensitive the mouse is for controlling the camera. It makes it difficult to keep track of the action.
Oct 8 23:33:40 36m 57s SentIO ♥ 2 I went into this game blind and as @sarafilipa said it is the best way to play it. It took awhile to figure out how to start the game but once I did it set me up for what to expect. This is a wonderful game and the website for the ending is a marvelous touch. I hope you expand upon this idea more in the future as there is so much potential behind it. Farewell little digital friend. I'll always remember hotdogs.
Oct 9 01:01:08 1h 27m The Hall Of Anubis ♥ 1 I was starting to think I was missing something until I found the gate to the gold key. Then I started to work out the loops and eventually finished. The jumping felt a little off, not sure if it was me pushing too late or if it wasn't registering when I pressed space. So glad you keep the keys when you fall. The lighting gave the feeling of being trapped and was just enough for the moment which needed a leap of faith. Fun game, it is really tempting to go back and see if it is possible to map out those halls.
Oct 9 01:18:19 17m 11s TEORT - The Escape of Rabbit Teort ♥ 1 To be honest it was the loop in the title which got me interested and I'm glad it did. The art style was a good choice and the bright colours kept it cheerful, even as I kept headbutting some of the obstacles due to my poorly timed jumps. The music was a little jarring to me in the circus, not sure if it was intentional or not (as you said did some experimentation with the music) but I wanted out of there to escape it. The forest was nice and peaceful in comparison leading me to think it was intentional.
Oct 15 23:50:43 166h 32m Stuck in a Loop (station) ♥ 3 Cool idea for a puzzle game. Like many I was stuck in the TV room but after a bit I think I figured it out. The room after had me stumped for the longest. I liked how each step added to the background music and the models really added to being trapped in a machine. I think having a smaller puzzle before the TV room could help with introducing needing to look for more than a flashing light would be a good stepping stone but not sure if it would be able to fit with the song being built around you. Looking forward to a release with more puzzles, and playing more with the sandbox.
Oct 16 00:33:59 43m 16s Uncover The Loop ♥ 1 I really enjoyed the non-euclidean maze. After a little bit I managed to get my head around it a be able to navigate the maze easily. The clues were a fun way to solve the code, added a extra bit of thought to the solve. Only problem I saw was with the teleportation of the player was a little juttery, seemed like a little skip in the level. This did however allow me to navigate easier. Overall it is a cool concept and would like to see it expanded further.
Oct 21 11:26:01 130h 52m Torus Tours ♥ 0 I'm a sucker for puzzles which get you to think and this is one of them. The idea of using a torus style map in a flat plain was a brilliant idea. I was stumped at overlapping panels level, I'll return to this one to try and finish it. The "school book doodle" aesthetic was a brilliant choice. As many have said this game deserves alot more attention.
Oct 21 11:55:45 29m 44s Placid Incandescent Impala ♥ 1 The non-euclidean geometry was done really smoothly, and after I had fun with running around it (I really enjoy playing games in non-euclidean space) I finally decided to try clicking on things. It took a bit for me to discover what the puzzle involved and how to find the answer, but once I did it left me feeling it was a clever idea for hiding the clues to the solution. My only criticism would be the controls felt very floaty to me, one I got used to the camera movement and the flying bug previously mentioned I was able to navigate easier. Overall I found this to be a really good puzzle and in a level design I found fun to run around in.
Oct 21 12:06:35 10m 50s LABLOOP ♥ 1 It took me a little longer than I would like to admit to figure out how to aim the shots so I wouldn't fail, but it was mostly due to me not paying attention to the behavior of the red turrets. The simple components of the buttons, blocks and enemies kept the learning curve at a good level while your design of the puzzles kept it interesting. I look forward to having a go at your post jam version with the extra puzzles once it is completed.
Oct 22 10:49:27 22h 42m Endless Hallways ♥ 0 I've said it a number of times this game jam and I will keep saying it. I LOVE NON-EUCLIDEAN GAMES!!! This one was seamless in its transitions and the ways to pass through the corridors was clever. Simple solutions but enough to make you feel smart for figuring it out. I'll really like to see more of this (an option to adjust mouse sensitivity would be a good addition). I did keep going on the ramps for awhile till I figured it was probably the end, so I ran back through the maze to the start and then back to the ramps again. Lots of fun to move around in... Did I say I love non-euclidean games?
Oct 24 03:23:28 40h 34m Project R.O.O.M ♥ 1 Initially I had fun playing with the corridors, then started on the questions. After question 11 I started thinking maybe I had to get some right. Then came the soup question and I thought "what?". Then the alone in the room question and I started getting very on edge. At around question 30 I went "Nope!" and tried walking out the room repeatedly. At the point I was arguing with the questions (started seeing the place holder notes as different characters) and trying to catch the thing in the corner. In short you nailed the mood, really made me feel trapped and not sure if there was a way out. Eventually quit and read the comments. It would be really fun to see you expand on this.
Oct 27 10:31:35 79h 08m Get Those Votes! ♥ 1 Quite a fun entry, I agree with the comments about the difficulty but I think how hard it is adds to the enjoyment, at least for me it does. I agree with @thegreenworm, a campaign style option would do well for this, allows for more areas, issues and Nickleback concerts. I'll adding this one to my play again list. C. Burger is a loud mouth and doesn't know a thing about Dad Jokes!
