Amazing game! It was a little hard to understand at first, but after playing for a bit it started to make sense.

@quak ty

I love the concept! It's super neat how you need to line up every shot to achieve a goal without accidentally shooting yourself. It would be much preferred if it just restarts the level instead of the entire game when you screw up, but I understand that making such a change would remove the theme form the entry. Perhaps making the tiles that can be toggled with a button a bit more clear when they are disabled? It was a bit hard to see when the enemy bullets would or wouldn't shoot through them, and that was my leading cause of mistakes. Cool game!

causalpigeon 2020-10-05 04:07

@blobo thanks for the feedback if i have enough time ill change that

dumbdumb 2020-10-05 05:34

amazin game ! i love the music a lot . the only issuse was that text was getting cut off . other than that , great job

causalpigeon 2020-10-05 05:59

@dumbdumb ive never gotten that glitch if you can tell me specifics ill get to fixing it thanks for the feedback

gorr 2020-10-06 05:23

Cool idea. It's really interesting to solve this puzzles

theseusinabottle 2020-10-06 05:46

Really fun game. I had a bit of difficulty with the learning curve but that's mostly because I am dumb and bad at video games as a general rule. Your music was really nice also.

dr-medictm 2020-10-06 21:48

This was a fun little puzzle game! I like the design of the little turrets. Robotics and Machinery aesthetics especially intrigue me, The concept of the game is pretty solid! Stationary turrets, buttons, walls and triggers were easy to use and challenging during a few levels.

The music was alright, but the turret shot noise was a bit too loud and seemed a bit long. Maybe balancing that audio or trying a different sound for the effect could enhance your game.

A solid game overall!

aeveis 2020-10-07 04:05

I liked how the mouse determined where they shot and it made a nice puzzle trying to avoid to get shot. As mentioned it'll be nice if you could just start the level over. The audio effect got a bit too high for me,maybe it could just be a bit softer. Nice job on the puzzles!

bassguitarbill 2020-10-11 10:17

Nice simple game, it was fun to figure out the actual mechanic of the game without being told. Having to redo the entire game every time I fail a puzzle is slightly frustrating. I would definitely play more of this, though.

joror 2020-10-11 11:19

Took me a bit to figure out how the aiming worked, but a nice puzzle after that! Operating the menu with your turrets is a nice touch  Almost made we think there was an extra puzzle in the main menu?

trexxak 2020-10-15 00:29

Felt bad to shoot those poor red bois repeatedly in the back of their metallic head D:

But it also felt very rewarding! I really liked your implementation of the mechanic and would love to see how far it can be explored!

Yeah, it would be nice to just continue where you failed, but at the same time, once you beat the level you know exactly what to do, so it wasn't that much of a big deal!

Great work :D (oh, also liked the very basic and clean look!)

causalpigeon 2020-10-20 02:11

@gorr I'm planning on makeing a post jam with some actually good puzzles.

@theseusinabottle Ill add info on controls in post jam version.

@dr-medictm Ill revamp the audio for the general music and add a music toggle and volume selector and I with the turret noise i'll make a new version off that post jam release.

@aeveis Post jam version i'll make levels longer and have more thought put into them so ill make it so when you restart it restarts you at the level your on. (also your game is my favourite keep up the great work)

@bassguitarbill I'll make sure to do that and post jam im planning on adding new features the turret can do so ill make it so the player finds it and not told how to do it.

@joror I was planning on adding a puzzle but I lost a day due to school so post jam ill make the menu have a puzzle with a secret level in it.

@trexxak "felt bad to shoot those poor red bois repeatedly in the back of their metallic head" that quote keeps me up at night lol on another note ill make sure to expand this mechanic as much as I can and i reached for the theme so ye lol im planning on keeping up with the clean look and adding more of a portal ascetic.

everyone whos played my game ty ill make sure to expand upon this consent post jam alot.

causalpigeon 2020-10-20 02:12

also I'll counter is at 10

jasper-hansen 2020-10-20 02:53

Seems like an interesting idea for a puzzler, i'd love to see it taken further. I think being sent back to the start every time you die could incentivize proactive play but considering you're redoing the same puzzles again there's probably better ways to explore that aspect of it. As it is now yea, just restarting the puzzle would probably be better.

causalpigeon 2020-10-20 02:56

@jasper-hansen Ty for playing it ill make sure to consider it in the post jam version

emperor-eagle 2020-10-20 03:04

This is a really good puzzle game! It was fun to play and intuitive, but not too easy. The graphics were nice and worked well with the audio, and the game felt reasonably polished. The gameplay was a tiny bit confusing at the start but I quickly got into it and I finished the game because I really liked the concept and wanted to follow through. You have interpreted the theme well, definitely uniquely and I gave you 5 stars for the theme because it is one of the best I've seen so far. You could improve the audio a little bit with some smoother sounds that aren't too high pitched and add some better feedback when you complete/lose a level. The pixel art worked really well. I think you have done an amazing job!

causalpigeon 2020-10-20 03:16

@emperor-eagle Im glad you enjoyed it im currently working on the audio for the post jam version

2020-10-20 05:15

TOO GOOD EASY TO PLAY BUT HAVE TO THINK HOW TO PLAY

casual-pigeon-alt 2020-10-20 16:15

@ishwar its suppose to be easy so everyone will get to the end of it before rating

danielblanco3d 2020-10-21 06:16

It´s crazy!!! Perhaphs I did not understand the game mechanics... I like art, sound and the use of the theme. Congrats!

noytroo 2020-10-21 11:16

Great idea ! A bit harsh for the 30 first seconds, but after I get the concept, I was able to reach the end !

jammygunns 2020-10-21 12:06

It took me a little longer than I would like to admit to figure out how to aim the shots so I wouldn't fail, but it was mostly due to me not paying attention to the behavior of the red turrets. The simple components of the buttons, blocks and enemies kept the learning curve at a good level while your design of the puzzles kept it interesting. I look forward to having a go at your post jam version with the extra puzzles once it is completed.

rolly 2020-10-21 21:50

The mechanic is nice, but I'm not sure how it fits the theme. Help me? :D

Visuals, music and sound effects are really nice.

I hoped there were a few more levels ; the end came when I actually felt confident about my understanding of the mechanics!

Nice entry!

causalpigeon 2020-10-22 01:08

@rolly ye the themes extremely loose but there's kinda 2 1 is that you start from the beginning when you fail 2 is that your 1 of the many turrets that go threw the test lol

sombrero-guy 2020-10-22 02:39

Really good puzzle game! I really like the level design and how you shoot buttons instead of pressing them! Nice work!

r3l0ad1 2020-10-22 21:52

Nice game! Graphics are nice and the levels are really well thought out. nice one!
