That was a pretty cool trick with the rooms. The atmosphere/mood was great, but I couldn't figure out what to do.
This would be awesome to just chill out in VR!
Very pretty, and I liked the music. I also couldn't figure out what to do though :)
I liked your game my congratulations, I also did one if you want to know, and give me your feedback I am very grateful, this is the link https://ldjam.com/events/ludum-dare/47/resurrection
The music would be nice, if it wouldn't be so laggy^^ Other than that, nice gimmick, playing a bit with spacial awareness :)
Really interesting game, I had a hard time figuring out what to do, and personally I felt like knowing which cubes to press when was kind of obscure. I personally felt like I should press the cubes in order of closest to furthest, but instead I had to follow an abstract pattern on the roof. For me this felt very obscure.
The visuals are really neat, but I had some issues with the controls. I notice everything felt jerky. I believe this has to do with the way you are moving the player. Might I suggest using the CharacterController Component for movement during Ludum Dare games. It works a lot better then making your own system in that little time (I speak from experience). Also, I noticed the character can fly when walking backwards and looking down (some other weird things happen when looking downwards and walking forwards).
I liked the idea behind the puzzle though, once I figured it out it felt quite good to solve it. The ending might have been a tad more .... energetic.
Sounds like an automatic name generator lol. Sorry, I didn't know what to do! Also, be careful of the levels on your audio – it was constantly peaking and getting digital distortion.
Game very well done, I liked the fun provided, good job!
i am pleasantly confused.
I just dont understand but its good i think :D Please rate our game too ^^
I think the non-Euclidian geometry was really impressively done, especially for a jam game, but I just didn't really like the gameplay itself. I didn't understand the logic to the puzzle for a long time, and even when I did, it was obnoxious to have to run from room to room each and every time. I also thought the auto-smoothing on the camera was excessive, as it made the controls feel extremely unresponsive.
Interesting, I like the vibe and the music was very atmospheric. I never figured out any real progression though, I mostly just wandered around clicking on boxes randomly. If there is a real path of progression, it probably needs some more hints for the player. Also the audio sounded a bit distorted to me, might be clipping a bit. Still a cool experience though, nice work.
Extremely clever puzzle! I am thoroughly impressed! Music was very nice, lending a good vibe to the game. My two only criticisms are: -the camera movement was really fast, at least for me. It gave me a bit of motion sickness, especially given how I absolutely had to play it through to the end once I understood what the concept of the puzzle was. I really liked it, and the steps it took me to figure it out, but it does suck that it made me feel queazy simply because of the camera.
I liked this puzzle and the geometry trick was neat. I like games that are just one big puzzle, and this was well done. Loved the vibe, but the smoothing on the camera controls was really uncomfortable for me. I'd suggest building a character controller before the jam and reusing the code or using someone elses (Unity's default one is fine these days), since its one of the things that can really kill the feel of a game like this.
The non-euclidean geometry was done really smoothly, and after I had fun with running around it (I really enjoy playing games in non-euclidean space) I finally decided to try clicking on things. It took a bit for me to discover what the puzzle involved and how to find the answer, but once I did it left me feeling it was a clever idea for hiding the clues to the solution. My only criticism would be the controls felt very floaty to me, one I got used to the camera movement and the flying bug previously mentioned I was able to navigate easier. Overall I found this to be a really good puzzle and in a level design I found fun to run around in.
