Oct 11 22:02:46 Hyperloop ♥ 3 I think I found a bug. I died in the middle of turning on the first switch with the key, before it says "maybe we should go find another switch" and I wasn't able to ever flip the other switch (I found the other switch, but it just said it wasn't working even though the first switch was flipped). Otherwise, fun experience, right amount of horror to make me jump and I liked that the characters blended into the background a bit. You could have doubled the level size and I would have enjoyed exploring it! Did shooting the rats do anything?
Oct 11 22:05:28 2m 42s DEATH STRING ♥ 0 I like the concept a lot. I wish I felt like I had more control, maybe after the rope is thrown the end could have a slightly bigger hit box, I felt like I barely missed it a couple of times. Also, I wasn't sure how retracting the rope worked? Would be awesome if it could just zip and snap all the enemies in the middle of it. You could totally make a hard mode where the player gets hurt by touching the rope too. Got to the final boss, but was too hard (that's on me though).
Oct 11 22:10:51 5m 23s BLOBIUS ♥ 0 My favorite concept I've seen so far, I got really into it, even showed some non-jam friends. I would get a bit frustrated at the controls, I sometimes forgot what direction the arrow keys would send me (the slow down when my own bullet was about to hit me was much appreciated). I wonder if adding mouse based movement would help me understand the directions better. I wonder what it would feel like if you had multiple loops floating in space and sometimes they would overlap and you could jump between loops or something, but that might take away from the simple but powerful nature of it. I'll definitely be returning to this post jam to try and beat my high score. I think a more ambient synth based soundtrack would really lock the entire mood.
Oct 11 22:21:35 10m 44s Echo Anomaly ♥ 1 I understood the concept pretty quick, but it took me a moment to see that ledge in the first level. I hope you continue this project post jam, it could be a really cool concept, I was surprised there weren't more that played with the theme in this manner.
Oct 11 22:47:23 25m 48s Wild Loop ♥ 1 I thought the art style fit the setting very well. Can I have a horse to make catching the bandit easier? Or at least a glass of whiskey at the end of the day?
Oct 12 23:57:56 25h 10m Stuck in a shoot em up loop ♥ 0 I think the beat rhythm shooting takes away from the past lives concept, which is a really cool concept, would love to play without the rhythm shooting limit.
Oct 13 00:10:27 12m 31s Time Break ♥ 1 I enjoyed the rewind concept, if I miss a chest is it always too late to go back for it? I didn't understand if there was a relationship between the rewind ration and when chests pop up or if this was related to the player position in the level?
Oct 13 00:18:43 8m 16s Block Runner 2049 ♥ 3 I don't know if I ever got stuck in a loop, but still enjoyed playing this new take on tetris and the aesthetic was a nice switch up too.
Oct 13 00:32:05 13m 22s 33 loop ♥ 1 Really enjoyed this and thought the 2d/3d experiment was a nice experiment within the game jam format. Can you add a window with rain outside and I can open and close the window to increase and decrease the rain volume? Would be cool to also have multiple records I could play around with.
Oct 15 16:54:29 64h 22m Round Trip ♥ 1 Good game deving, keep it up! I though the obstacles getting tighter was a nice touch.
Oct 15 16:56:42 2m 13s Asteri ♥ 1 The feeling of controlling the space person was really nice, I had fun just moving around the level. The only part I had trouble with was the space person would go off screen and I couldn't see what was happening, maybe if the camera is focused on the sun, space person, and ship. Would also be cool if there were other gravity objects to loop around. Haven't tried multiplayer yet, but I wonder if there is one where a second player controls the ship, could be a fun addition. Also, the audio was a nice touch for the art direction.
Oct 18 19:43:19 74h 46m StarHamster 64 ♥ 1 The Starfox 64 throwback with the hamster wheel concept was great! I enjoyed the small narrative, I wish there would have been more cause to use the mouse buttons. The gameplay and dialogue made for a humorous/fun experience <3
Oct 18 19:50:53 7m 34s Just Another Day ♥ 1 Captured the GameBoy feeling perfectly, I wish there would have always been some music going though. Additionally, the first loop could have happened one or two more times to capture that stuck in a loop feeling, making the break in routine more of an actual break in the loop.
Oct 18 20:06:32 15m 39s Hackermon - Evil Edition ♥ 1 I think I ran into a bug at the Game Over/Continue part (The hacker code had the V so I assume I did that right, but I could only navigate the menu not interact/enter. I like the concept a lot and think this could be built on and continue to evolve, especially as a way to teach people who don't know about coding (although I think sometimes the code was the opposite of what it should be i.e. if 0 >= GetKey(key)?). The input keys were also a bit confusing and I wonder if you limited yourself to six keys instead of 12 if it would make it easier to play. I only offer these criticisms because I did enjoy it and hope to see it built upon, so keep it up <3
Oct 18 20:22:21 15m 49s SYNTH WIZARD ♥ 0 The hint to stack the items was super helpful! After that I was able to fly through the levels (once I understood the nuances of each instrument and how to use them). The game itself feels super polished, seems like a cool battle mechanics prototype for a sci-fi/high fantasy rpg <3
Oct 18 20:31:42 9m 21s Hudson ♥ 1 Took me a bit to understand how the upgrades worked and that killing enemy cracks/camps was important to reduce the flow of enemies. I agree a lot with what @matootsy said too.
Oct 18 20:46:57 15m 15s loops ♥ 1 What an experience A+ <3
Oct 20 01:10:07 28h 23m Ghost Jammer ♥ 0 The controls felt nice, but I kept falling off right after the first lap with a combo of explosion render lag and inability to break. Really enjoyed the innovative control scheme though, felt good <3
Oct 20 01:17:58 7m 51s Mobius ♥ 1 I'm surprised there weren't more games like this, love the spatial looping puzzles, very nice. I got a bit motion sick because the mouse sensitivity was super high.
Oct 20 01:24:18 6m 20s Peng's New Ting ♥ 1 The loop was nice for a top down shooter and the characters reminded me of some Rare 64 games <3
Oct 22 01:46:46 48h 22m Into the Iron Mist ♥ 1 Great mecha game, it felt really good fighting the other mechs, I liked how heavy and armored everything felt.
Oct 22 01:56:38 9m 52s Loopfield ♥ 1 I enjoyed the mechanic, a cool take on the theme, I wonder if there's a way to develop it into a schmup where you can control the ship movement, although this might take away from the simplicity of it.
Oct 22 02:04:16 7m 38s Soccer Loop ♥ 1 This was a fun little game, really appreciated the loop take on soccer <3 After awhile it didn't seem to add more players, but rotated where the goal was, maybe just increase the field size with more players?
Oct 22 02:13:12 8m 56s BeatBoi ♥ 1 The graphics were really cool, but I was too focused on the button instructions at the bottom to enjoy them. It would be cool if the button combos built up the longer you played it, also it didn't seem like the button presses were on any sort of beat/rhythm?
