This is by far the best game I've played today—maybe ever. The story arc is incredible. Watching Mr. Hamster's journey from ringworld mailman to space chadster was (inter)stellar. All of the characters are masterfully written and voice-acted. The theme song and music are incredible. My only complaint is that there is not a sequel.
@rucksack We used the Unity Engine 2020 Version, using a compressed texture rendering the whole thing to give it the low-poly, pixellated look. Glad you liked the game!
@zhohan very high praise, thank you! All the credit goes to Sasha Olynyk and Eliana Zimmerman for the great music and voice lines.
Okay, I love the StarFox reference. I also was using an SF reference with real animal pictures in another game, so it was funny to see someone else have the same idea. This is my 8th time participating, I've played hundreds of games on LD, but this was the absolute best way to naturally explain the controls and premise to players. So good job on that. On the downside, mouse controls in an embedded window always mess up for me. Pointer goes outside the window and you lose control. I tried to fullscreen it to avoid that and the image stretched weird (that might be my fault though, I'm on an ultrawide).
> Post your final health total to see how you stack up against others!
Unfortunately my final health total was zero because I'm bad at this kind of game, but I loved it anyway :) (at least I've managed to play for one loop... I'll try more later, I want to see more of the story)
Great game! Really like the screaming hamster. And that the game has an ending :) I thought the obstacles could have been placed a little better (maybe more up in the air), so that there would be a constant challenge. And then place the circles and boxes so it is possible to hit them without losing health.
Was not expecting to hear voice acting when I started. That was a really nice touch. Soundtrack is pretty banging too. I would say collisions are a bit unforgiving, and if you miss a ring it seems like you're out of luck since you're then stuck with that package.
Nice audio and voice acting. The obstacles and their relation to the rings is pretty bad, though, because basically all the time you will lose health. I dont know how it is possible to solve the game...
Still a nice idea though
@jonas-michael the game is definitely possible to beat, you just have to be pretty precise with your flying. There isn't a single crate or ring that you must suffer damage on to get to. Hope you had fun!
(I love the Humor of this game! I like it, there is just one problem. Usually when you are flying (especially through holes), you kinda need to guess where and how you need to position yourself, Maybe you can have the camera more staright than from an angle? Thanks!

It was a fun game, easy to get into and enjoy. I did crash a lot though and it was challenging to navigate, so no health left in the end for me :D
I liked the dialogue! More obstacles would've been nice.
Man, I actually really liked this one. Graphics looks great, music is balling, and that's a hamster, in a star ship, in a wheel for a hamster. Awesome!
Nice!
The concept is pretty simple, but we don't need to look to far to make something fun, and this is really fun  The dubbing made everything to me. I found it a bit difficult, sometimes the box are placed in complex spots, sometimes really too easy. But man, the dubbing.
@sabeurre @colmaphis-games @noxymu5 Glad you guys like it!
I love the look of this game. It did seem nearly impossible to pick up crates without taking damage. Maybe I was missing something.
Cool game! It was a bit difficult to be precise. I would have liked the soft zone of the camera to be thiner and the cursor to be locked in the windows. 5 Stars for humour! I love how you integrated the tutorial via hamsters conversations. Good work!
StarFox feelings! 😁
Is it music made in compo time? Amazing!
Mouse lock could make controls improve, a minor issue tho.
Loved the real animals as players 😁
The Starfox 64 throwback with the hamster wheel concept was great! I enjoyed the small narrative, I wish there would have been more cause to use the mouse buttons. The gameplay and dialogue made for a humorous/fun experience <3
Nice game!
