Wow this is one of my favorites I have played so far! It took bit to get used to the controls but once I got zooming it was a blast, loved the art style and music well done :)

This looks really good! Nice entry! The UI is a bit buggy on my 4k screen but once i decreased the windows size everything was fine. Fun 5/5!
Wow nice. I'm always a fun of 3d + 2d combinations, and it stands out from the rest!
My left hand wanted to skate. My right hand also wanted to skate. I did a lot of falling. ;_;
This is cool!
LOVE the art style and the unique control scheme (although not obvious at first). It feels so good to get into a rhythm once you get going QQQQQQQQQQQQQQ EEEEEEEEEEEEEE lol
Visuals and audio are great. Fun to play. Well done
It was really hard to control since you can't break, and its hard to press Q and E while also turning. I also had a few points where the gravity just stopped working and I couldn't start moving.
Still an amazing game
Thanks @delender1100 , it's easier with cursors + QE than WASD + QE, and also with a gamepad. (though some time in the last finishing touches, game pad control became harder again).
Thank you for the error report, sometimes you can get stuck on the slopes indeed. Just press DEL.
Awesome game! I found myself trying to ramp off of the start line edge to get ahead of my ghosts. Once you get the controls down, it becomes super competitive. Running the app on your computer vs in browser is a total game changer and practically eliminates lag. I look forward of seeing more of y'all's games!
Finally! I've been waiting for _years_ for Nintendo to make Rainbow Road 2. This feels just like the original...
The highlight for me was the art style, particularly the lighting and patterns on the track. The soundtrack is also a jam. Congrats on an awesome game!
I love the execution of the theme and the overall package is solid, but I feel like the course design is a little frustrating and I kept being launched into the air for milliseconds, denying control.
I liked the mood of it, and the retro style. It took me some time to understand what I was supposed to do. And I never understood whether or not the "ghosts" are actually my ghosts (i.e. recordings of my previous turns) or not. I genuinely enjoyed playing it though.
I sucked at the game and at least the explosion after finishing a lap always threw me off the course. Still I got hooked somehow and just couldn't stop trying! Good job! The aesthetics are just beyond cool!
I couldn't give up. I had to go back and finish the track. And I did! :runner:
@loig The ghosts are your ghosts. You even turn into one at the end when you ghosted it. They have exactly the same paths that you take, but travel at 80% speed so you can't just go slower than them all the time and still beat the time limit.
Stellar look and gameplay! Love the way you made roller skating into a gameplay mechanic, super creative and fun to play with!
@forgreonstudio We actually had a rainbow track once but it wouldn't fit with the Cybertwee look so I decided to take it out. :dove: Skate fast. Skate safe.
Awesome aesthethics! I felt really immersed. Controlling could perhaps be a bit tighter but I found myself getting used to it pretty quickly.
I think the game feels polished overall and the core gameplay is solid! You have probably already thought about adding different levels (8-loops or other track shapes).
This would be AWESOME to play together with some friends :)
Congratulations, well done!!
@marcusnystrand Thanks so much! Yeah multiplayer roller derby that would be something... any maybe arcade physics controls for that better grip and less random airtime.
Ahh this is sweet. I didn't expect to enjoy it as much as I did. Very satisfying controls, I like the 3D pixel art vibes. The world needs more rollerskatinggames clearly haha, just feels so satisfying. My only criticism would be how long the game over screen takes before I can get back into the action after i inevitably get too excited and fly off the track. Great work!
A really cool aesthetic! It feels good to roll around once you really get going, but a few times after a small bounce I had a lot of trouble getting "back on my feet/rollerblades" as the character kept bouncing slightly for a few times. Also the menus seem to be a bit busted on both the Windows and HTML5 versions. But the audio is really great, among the best I've encountered in this LD!
Really cool game. I really like the art and music! The controls feel really nice and the addition of controller support is a great feature. Nice work!
I really liked this one, the visuals and sound just fit together so well with the gameplay. Maybe remove the gameover text and go back into the game right away? (with the timer still there)
Yo this was super nice - it felt really unique. Loved the mix of 2d and 3d graphics, the track that changed color, and the triangulation effect on the screen. Felt a little hard to me but maybe I just suck at these kinds of games. Tbh, how did you guys make this in one weekend????
Oh, and the ghost effect was SICK. Big kudos all around!
I like the concept but the visual effects for the track finish explosion and the trail on the ghost basically blind me. I tried several times before I didn't immediately die after finishing one loop because I couldn't see what I was doing.
Btw, the on-screen control instructions are super confusing.
I really loved this. The sound and visuals make it super relaxing to play!
Nice!! Highly recommend to play this on with a controller, because the keyboard controls can be a bit hard to get into. I really like the art style and the general aesthetic and the music is good. In general the only flaw I see is the keyboard controls, maybe input them like WASD + mouse would have been a lot better
It's very fun! So unique manipulate system, and immersive soundtrack,:)
The controls felt nice, but I kept falling off right after the first lap with a combo of explosion render lag and inability to break. Really enjoyed the innovative control scheme though, felt good <3
Neat presentation and slick sfx!
