Dec 3 16:24:47 Battle of the Occultists ♥ 2 Nice game! Took me a while to figure out you can sacrifice more than one card at once haha I also don't understand why my cards disappear at the end of my turn, why wouldn't you just sacrifice every card in your hand every turn then? I stopped playing when I lost because I didnt want to have to restart from the beginning :3 Pretty mechanically impressive system! And I really like the help menu [which has a typo on "they" by the way]
Dec 3 18:15:25 1h 50m Satellite Impact ♥ 1 Nice Game! I really like that you had an in game tutorial!
Dec 3 18:26:59 11m 34s The Lamb ♥ 0 Nice Game! I unfortunately got softlocked when an enemy threw a rock at me and then I landed in front of it and on top of it at the same time. It was blocking me from moving forward and I couldn't jump, and nothing else came to kill me so I was stuck. But was still a fun infinite runner! I really like the art style!
Dec 3 18:32:46 5m 47s Sacrifice For The King ♥ 2 Omg I loved this game. The whole asthetic is really good, I love the mobile page turning animation, actually all of the animations. I loved the intuitive UI tutorial in game with the hand icons. At first I thought it was pretty simple, but the interesting part is when you complete a round and have to restructure your thought process to account for the new rules. Great Game!
Dec 3 18:41:21 8m 35s Alain's Sacrifice ♥ 1 Amazing job on your first Ludum Dare! I love all the Juicy effects haha
Dec 3 18:45:23 4m 02s Winter Summer Land ♥ 1 omg I love all the dialogue xD its also hilarious that you are collecting sun when you are a snowman. The regen mechanic is super interesting I like that the snow on the ground disappears when you use it, it makes your health and ammo actually feel like a limited resource that you are sacrificing. Music and Audio is great too. Amazing Game Overall!
Dec 3 18:50:15 4m 52s Royal Archipelago ♥ 1 Very Cool Game! The text was very small for me, but I was still able to read it I love the graphics and audio!
Dec 3 19:07:05 16m 50s Behead ♥ 0 Lol this is great. I love the animations on the end screen it adds a lot!
Dec 4 08:12:20 13h 05m The Feast ♥ 1 Awesome Game! I loved the art and sound! It was very satisfying when it clicked that you have to kill multiple with a single shot to sustain yourself
Dec 4 18:59:36 10h 47m TAMUTU ♥ 1 Woah this game was absolutely amazing. The art, the sound, the story. My only issue was that the size of your hitbox felt way too big, it took me a while to realize it was the actual size of the graphic - because of the 2d isometric perspective of the art of the game I was expecting it to be a square just at the feet. Getting hit in the head by something that is supposed to be behind you broke the perspective of the art, it also means its harder to dodge things coming at you horizontally than vertically. It was a little frustrating to beat the final boss because of this, but I loved the game and I had to beat it, and it was easier once I realized what my problem was. Amazing Game overall! Definitely a favorite from this LD :)
Dec 4 19:19:59 20m 23s Requiem ♥ 1 The Art and Music is amazing! Gameplay suffered from bugs and inconsistencies for me. I couldn't tell how enemies dealt damage to me, I found that I could just push myself into the small ones and kill them without getting hurt, and I had no idea where the hitboxes are for the bosses attacks. Sometimes the slam down attack would hurt me even though I felt that I had clearly gotten out of range in time. The bosses also got stuck and stopped moving and attacking sometimes. Once I beat the 3rd level, my character just froze and I couldn't do anything and nothing was happening. Theres no restart or anything so I was unable to beat it. I think it could benefit a lot from some polish and visual cues on how all the enemies damage you. As some other people mentioned, the mouse aiming is a little unintuitive, I would prefer a reticle as well. Sacrificing your abilities as you go was really interesting! I feel like this actually creates meaningful sacrifices from the player which is a difficult thing to do effectively. Nice Game!
Dec 4 19:25:28 5m 29s GET OUT of bed..... ♥ 1 Nice Game! I really liked the animation for waking up it was very accurate haha You should opt out of Audio ratings if you used someone elses free music
Dec 4 19:29:02 3m 34s KingGame ♥ 1 The web build didn't work for me, the console was spamming something about a sizing change. I'm confused as to why you put a link to a web build here, but then say there that the web build isn't supported. :(
Dec 4 19:40:38 11m 36s Accept this Offering ♥ 2 This was a very good game! The puzzles were interesting and I played through to the end without any problems. The moments where narration mixed with gameplay were really cool (the narrator changing the level, and the very last level). Amazing game!
Dec 4 23:50:53 4h 10m Oblatio ♥ 1 I new what was gonna happen as soon as I started feeding the rabbit. But it still hurt. Amazing Game haha You really made the sacrifices feel impactful.
Dec 4 23:58:24 7m 31s Mr. Island ♥ 1 Very Pretty Game! I like how the water level lowers with more cats to incentivize you to sacrifice them lol
Dec 5 00:05:19 6m 55s A Sworded Tale ♥ 3 Woah this is really cool! I love the way the game looks, the 3d camera and world just feel really good to me. Battle scene background doesn't quite match the perspective tho haha. Amazing Game!
Dec 5 00:15:43 10m 24s Martyr ♥ 0 Woah this game is really good! It actually made me feel like I was making meaningful sacrifices, the big guy needed to move the blocks out of the way but then he starts dying for sake of the group. I accidentally put a block on top of two other members and they got stuck there, it actually made me really invested in how I had to sacrifice some of my life to save them again. Great Game!
Dec 6 23:38:07 47h 22m Battling Madness ♥ 1 Nice work guys! Unfortunately I ran into a lot of bugs I chose fire rate three times in my first run through, but it looked like it affected bullet speed and not actual fire rate. There was also a time I chose a +hp upgrade but my hp didn't change. I also died during the level up menu opening which didn't feel great. I also have no idea what triggers my projectiles to increase in size Really interesting concept, and the art is amazing as always
Dec 9 18:57:04 67h 18m Rocket Sheep ♥ 1 I had a lot of fun playing this game! I felt like a god when I finally beat that last level lol could definitely improve with some more sound effects - but I see you've opted out of audio ratings
Dec 9 19:05:30 8m 26s The Sun Scene ♥ 1 This was an interesting chill experience! I really like the art style. I like how you say that it can be a good break between all the sacrificing in other games lol. Im happy to find someone else making html5 games lol. I wish the controls were displayed somewhere on the webpage itself so that it stood better on its own :P - that way you could share the link without having to give any extra info
Dec 9 19:13:00 7m 30s The Price of Crops ♥ 0 I like the voxel art style. The game was a bit difficult to figure out how to play. It could definitely benefit from some more feedback and sound effects for when things are happening. I also found it to be pretty slow. Nice game!
Dec 9 19:17:04 4m 04s Blue Sacrifice ♥ 1 Omg I love the the art and audio. The audio was very satisfying. I really like the way you made that tutorial image - it caught my attention and was easy to understand and I could look at it while the game was loading.
Dec 10 17:50:30 22h 33m Together ♥ 2 Lol this was super fun! I loved painting with the cold effect actually haha Amazing game!
Dec 10 17:59:32 9m 02s Sacrifices must be made to the Dragon! ♥ 0 Really Nice Game! I didn't really understand what the point of any of the resource management was, I couldn't tell that it made a difference. Its not really clear why you are doing anything in the game, maybe actually have a scene with the dragon so you know you are supposed to sacrifice to it while trying to kill it? The clickable area for the forrest doesn't extend as far as I thought it should, I kept clicking on the trees and nothing would happen. The text was pretty small and kind of hard to read. I missed the text after the first sacrifice, either because it was too fast or I accidentally clicked twice and missed it. I liked all the art and different story beats with the different sacrifices. really nice music as well Nice Work!
Dec 10 18:04:00 4m 28s Hell Well ♥ 1 Yo this was super fun! I can see the inspiration from down well haha. I really liked the different jumping mechanics - it was really clear which one you had based on the top bar and the colors. It was really cool how the platforms were designed to play off of this mechanic. I got to 17 and then immediately died without warning. The lava just came super fast out of nowhere. Amazing Game!
Dec 12 07:42:03 37h 38m Total Party Kill ♥ 0 Amazing game. On the web build on itch, It was playing two songs at once for me and I had to refresh- might be because I changed tabs while it was loading? Really loved this experience, great concept, great puzzles. I was able to beat level 14 without killing anyone just by having them jump on each other by quick switching and moving them mid jump. Which was pretty cool. - having like another meta challenge of keeping them alive is interesting.
Dec 12 08:04:38 22m 35s King's Last Stand ♥ 1 Awesome game! could really use some sound effects. Cute graphics, though I would have liked to see the Astra look a bit more distinct from the lumos from mario galaxy. (Also are they just an anagram for "A star"? xD)
Dec 12 08:19:57 15m 19s JLIM ♥ 1 Absolutely captivating experience! Capture.PNG I really love the concept and the design. and it was interesting the whole way through. It kept suprising with how many more interesting mechanics there were to discover. The double jump power up kind of detracted from the coolness of the auto jump / sacrifice idea, but I guess since its still using just the arrow keys, as the controls suggest, that it is fine? Amazing sound and visuals as well, I love the pico8 style!
Dec 12 09:07:39 47m 42s FTD : Fixin' to Die ♥ 2 Holy crap. Amazing game! Had some really challenging parts to it. You really have to keep up from the beginning or it spirals out of control. Actually forced me to make meaningful sacrifices - which is always a huge plus for this theme. Plus I love overcooked and surgeon simulator haha
