Apr 28 16:25:50 The game that bad that it is actually good???!!! ♥ 0 FINALLY! Someone is actually making something beyond just a typical game. I'm sure there is some deep meaning in this game. Notice how that cow has red wings? How it has 4 feet and also 2 chicken legs? There's some deep message we are missing here... This game is not good at all, it's AWESOME! Good job comrade!
Apr 28 17:35:51 1h 10m Thrust Vector ♥ 2 The AI is nice. It seems like they respond very well to my actions. The graphics are very nice too! But I would totally appreciate some texture on those plain models. One thing I did not get is I can't seem to go to next move if I do not move. Sometimes I just want to sit still in one spot and try not to waste any thrusts. Is this intentionally designed for players to constantly move? Quite an ambitious project for a 72 hour jam you got. Nice job guys!
Apr 28 18:07:42 31m 51s Split-Minded ♥ 1 It's so nice to see something different in the visual novel genre. I don't play much of this genre but I can definitely tell this is something very unique. This game only needs some polish and some more content on the sword-fighting sequence to be on the shelf. I would really like to see how it turns out! Usually visual novels' pace are a little slow compared to most other genres, but this could bring a nice little mixture in there. Great content you got here. Good job!
Apr 28 18:53:45 46m 03s Quickdraw ♥ 0 The concept of this game is quite interesting. I had to constantly pick up cards from enemies to destroy them. However I would personally appreciate faster action (things like wall run, double jump...). Also there was significant lag while loading the game even though my laptop has a decent graphics card. Some optimization worth working on there! Overall I really like this idea, can we expect a polished version soon? ( ̄_, ̄ )
Apr 28 19:06:02 12m 17s Card Kart ♥ 0 Wow this both a good entry and a good FIRST entry! The mechanism is quite good. The style and music you picked for this game both fit very well. I would personally very like to see physical cards for this game. Cuz why not! Mobiles and physical card collections are probably the best place for this. Great work!
Apr 29 13:10:11 18h 04m Welcome to Snake Academy! ♥ 1 Man I almost fell in love with the yellow snake and it turned out to be a real ass! I mean... All the snakes (except the blue one, it's super nerdy and cute) are so hard to talk with *furiously scratch my head* !!!But honestly, great job with everything, especially the dialogues!
Apr 29 14:52:29 1h 42m Turn the Fight ♥ 2 If LD has a rating field for "feel" I'd totally give it a 10 out of 5. Who doesn't love a responsive, fast pace fighting game? The difficulty level is very nicely designed and it keeps me tightly engaged for a very long time. (Actually played for one round before I barely beat the opponent). I wish there was more visual indication on the keyboard icons though. Perhaps shift the "w" and up arrow key upward to give a visual indication of where the key physically is? I personally find it a bit exhausting to read the icons and translate them into where the keys physically are. Great work guys!
Apr 29 15:40:26 47m 57s Eilza ♥ 1 Very nice message to deliver to the industry. (But seriously there is racism in elementary schools these days?? That's scary..). I personally would appreciate some more action to bring up the pace, and also more varieties to randomize the pattern. Great work!
Apr 29 16:15:56 35m 30s Tanktris ♥ 2 This brings back so much nostalgia! This is a hard game though! It requires so much focus (which is nice) but also some steep learning curve (which is not so nice). But I think this is an awesome combination of the two games you referenced from. I personally feel like the control scheme is a bit weird. It took me a while to get used to (and still I was getting destroyed haha). But anyway great job guys! Really loved the feel!
Apr 29 16:37:10 21m 14s CrossingDeads ♥ 1 Great pixel art animation you got there! And very suitable music! However I found the game a little difficult and the movement a little laggy (there is about 0.5-1 second delay, dunno if that's intentional or not). However this is VERY impressive as it's single-handedly done in 72 hours! The gameplay certainly needs a bit more polish but everything else is very good already. Great job!
Apr 29 17:06:16 29m 06s Darkade ♥ 1 THIS IS JUST AWESOME!!! The sound effects gave me goose bumps throughout the whole game. VERY nice game design you have here and an excellent piece. The amount of work done within this short time is incredible! I really like the puzzles: they appear to be very mysterious but ultimately can be smoothly and intuitively solved. Keep up the good work! I would love to see more content if you are planning to continue developing this game.
Apr 30 06:11:18 13h 05m FAST CRASH ♥ 1 This game has a very nice feel. Everything (the aesthetics, the music) you selected tie very well together. The trivia questions are interesting (I managed to get a 675 as a foreigner so I guess they are not THAT challenging) but I would prefer to see the answers after I got a wrong answer (or maybe I did not notice). You guys did a great job!
Apr 30 07:13:59 1h 02m Super Beat Fighter Turbo ♥ 1 This is a very nice tweak to the fighting genre! I think for most casual fighting game players, it's all about smashing random buttons and jumping around like we're crazy, but this game is more like rock-paper-scissors, Tekken, and Patapon mixed together, and it's awesome! It takes some more thinking and strategy. Also the animation is very fluid! Great job!
Apr 30 07:30:46 16m 47s Tennis Hero ♥ 0 MAN this is so much fun. I got to as high as 4340 and it gets so crazy! I loved it when it becomes like a bullet hell, it's a bit dry before you get to that stage though. But it's a very good game and it actually would work so well on the mobile with a little bit of autonomy added in. Great work!
Apr 30 07:55:00 24m 14s About Love ♥ 1 The music selection and the overall art expression is great! It tells a very complete story and also one that really resonates with a lot of people who have experienced LD before(I'm assuming you've been through LD. Not this LD, THAT LD). The last level though! The only problems I had was the sudden increase of difficulty in the last level and the over-powered "send letter" option (plus the overly sexy music in the end haha). But seriously the art and the message in this game is great! Good job you two!
Apr 30 08:08:23 13m 23s One-Sec Bullet-Hell ♥ 1 The game starts off a bit hard but once I got the mechanism right it becomes so much fun! I use a technique I call "BABY STEPS" where each turn I just move slightly to avoid incoming bullets. Works amazingly well! The music and the aesthetics fit very well but I think it's the good combination of the turn-base and bullet hell genre that really shine here. Great job!
Apr 30 08:26:12 17m 49s Card Rush ♥ 1 It's a fighting game with cards and rhythm. That's awesome! I enjoyed the game but I think it would be better if it doesn't randomly choose an action for me. That kind of destroys my own rhythm and makes it a bit difficult to know what to do next. But other than that I think this game is heading towards the right direction! Good job!
Apr 30 08:44:38 18m 26s Sky Serpent Paint ♥ 1 The art is what I believe shines best in this game. The movement, however, is a bit difficult to figure out, but I got used to it after a short while. Nevertheless it's quite finished and very well done!
Apr 30 09:08:28 23m 50s Twin Stick Town ♥ 1 Wow this is pretty awesome. I love the city building part. In the beginning I was building a very conventional tight grid system (that didn't work so well) and later made the grid wider to make more place for shooting! But what the hell are the enemies haha. Cheese people (more like cats), evil townspeople (zombies), and Ralph??? That's an awesome mix! The controls in this game is tight, and the pace is kept really well. Very well done guys!
Apr 30 13:25:59 4h 17m RogueFarm ♥ 0 Quite an impressive amount of work done by one person! I think the art is definitely strongest element in this game, as it hasn't reached its full potential from some other perspectives. I love how it's procedurally generated and a farming sim at the same time. This is very well done! One problem I had was I could see the world being generated on the edge of the screen (I played the web version on Chrome). It's not a big deal but I guess it's better if you know. Any hints for the secret **hideous grin** ┏ (゜ω゜)=☞
Apr 30 13:46:50 20m 51s fPONG ♥ 0 This is simple but it's so much fun! I just loved trying to get the ball to go as fast as possible but always (accidentally) lose or win after 2 to 3 minutes (sigh). I figured out a strategy which will make me always win the game though. I would always play super safe in the beginning and wait for the ball to speed up, when it's super fast I just simply move to the side a little bit and the opponent loses instantly. Maybe you could add a bit more logic to the enemy to avoid this kind of behaviour? But anyway, this is an additive and fun game. Well done!
Apr 30 14:26:37 39m 47s Happy Hammer ♥ 1 ooooooo the combo sound effect is TIGHT!!!! I loved the feel of the controls in this game. It's very responsive and requires a lot of focus and precision. The level design here is awesome too! IDK if you did it delibrately but there was a perfect design in level 2 where if I fall down by mistake I would get boosted up by one of those "boosters", thus given a second chance to go up. You've done a great job!
May 1 16:10:33 25h 43m Unojo temple ♥ 1 The cartoony style is very nice and the game is definitely well tested! One problem I had was the arrow key control scheme. Since this game is aiming for PC platform I guess aiming with the mouse would be more intuitive IMHO. But like I said, the game balance is done very well. I died once when the boss only had 5 HP UGHHHH! Well done guys!
May 1 16:38:58 28m 25s Permadate ♥ 1 This game's got great humor and good pace. The yanderes are a bit difficult to get past though! Nevertheless I really enjoyed the game. It would be really nice to be able to see a collection of all the girls we successfully dated ehehe. Thanks for making our lives a bit less lonely.
May 1 16:55:58 17m 00s YOU LEFT ME. ♥ 1 Wow just turned into a huge fan of yours. Really liked the color combinations you were going for and also the dark twisted theme (especially the one on the rooftop). It's really resonates me as I've lost some loved ones not long ago too. This game is really great! Looking forward to your future projects!
May 1 17:19:58 24m 00s Dark Soil ♥ 1 Wow this combination of the two genres work amazingly well! Not only that, the gameplay is soooo fluid and the art is very well done. The attacks feels like it borrows a lot from Mobs.Inc which also has a very fluid combat system. Thoroughly enjoyed this game!
May 1 17:45:23 25m 25s Modern Fairway 4: Spec-Ops in the Rough ♥ 2 This game is hilarious haha. The music fits so well I love it! I just got to a point where I didn't care about the strikes anymore and started furiously shooting at the ball with the assault rifle. One improvement I would suggest is to provide a mouse sensitivity option. The sensitivity was wayyyyy too high on my PC I started questioning the reality of my life. But still, this game is so much fun. Good job!
May 3 18:15:22 48h 29m Secret of the PeaDucks ♥ 1 Wow the level design in this is so well done! Even though the mechanism is very simple, I enjoyed this game for quite a long time! (The heart item was very VERY sneaky haha). The control was very responsive but I think it could be improved with a slightly slower upward velocity (like how the classic Mario jumps). I had some trouble clearing the red level which takes A LOT of jumping, so adding some Mario-like physics might help! Great job!
May 3 18:38:58 23m 36s Crowdsurf ♥ 1 You crushed the command line genre! This is a lot of fun I had a blast! I had some trouble in the beginning, but the learning only takes very little time. I wrote some of the dirtiest lines in my life, but I'm not so sure I want to share it :P (sed face). Agghhh my brain juice is running out!!! Great job btw
May 5 19:18:04 48h 39m Super Dashball ♥ 1 Just played it with my cousin! It's sooo much fun we finally stopped to leave a comment. One problem though... We were playing on the browser. I was pressing right-ctrl to dash and my cousin was simultaneously pressing "w". As you know, the shortcut key to close tab is ctrl+w. So the tab just went POOF! Gone! We just stared at each other like who the heck just did that before finally realizing that the key combination was the problem. We then downloaded the Windows version and the problem was gone. Anyway, this entry is so full of fun. The audio was perfect and the game design was excellent! Great job you guys!
May 6 11:41:38 16h 23m MotherDucker ♥ 1 Love the level design in this game! The music fits very well and the menu is on point! One problem I think you should avoid is to NOT have any level design that intentionally sets the player back. Sometimes the levels are a bit too hard to cross even if I move very carefully. With a little bit more balance this game could be a lot more fun. Keep up the good work! BTW, good pun ;)
May 6 11:56:48 15m 10s The Matter at Hand ♥ 1 Nice little puzzle game you got there! The level design is done very well. The difficulty curve is really the best among all the games I played so far. The game is quite finished. If you add in a bit more polish and sound effects it would be a great thing to have in the market! One thing I think I should let you know is that I couldn't play the game on my laptop. When I clicked the exe file, it tells me I need a Java Runtime Environmnet, so I switched to my desktop PC and it worked. IDK if you could get rid of that software requirement but it would be nice. Anyway, great work!
May 6 12:19:28 22m 40s Late for Love ♥ 1 The art is amazing. I love the glowing light on the character's face. It's a nice touch to the visuals. The dialogue is written very well, and the fact that it also ties with the gameplay makes it even better. (Got trolled after she told me to look at something on the right that one time though. Grrrrrrrrr) I personally really liked to be challenged by driving and talking at the same time, and I believe you made it the core part of the game (perhaps). If so, I would suggest you to shorten the pauses a bit. Some pauses are a bit too long and they kind of go out of sync with the pacing in the rest of the game. Great work.
