Apr 18 03:27:00 SUPER DEEP GAME BRO Very cool and original concept, the simplicity hides a more than decent amount of depth. Well done! :)
Apr 18 03:37:00 10m 00s Black Heart Nice music and visuals (but they're too strong, I can understand why people are talking about risk of seizures), and very cool idea!

As some have told you, since you can't reach all the other shapes in just one action (which puts you at risk of failing unfairly), perhaps it could be helpful to have specific buttons/keys mapped to each shape.

With that and toning down a bit the visual contrast you can have a very solid entry. Keep going! :D
Apr 18 03:49:00 12m 00s Signed Distance Shift Awesome! Visuals are great, and I love the take on the theme, the concept reminds me of a game we played when we were kids (and I've just learned it's called Hunt the Thimble).
Apr 18 04:04:00 15m 00s Shape Collector Very cool concept! Playing with the AI to see who manages to take more territory gets really interesting.

As improvements, I agree with other posts about showing that you can't use the same colour as the rival. I did realise, but it took me a few clicks -_-U
Apr 18 15:01:00 10h 57m NeonDX Great concept! It gets a bit tricky after a while (but I didn't play in fullscreen, so I was experiencing the scrolling issues at the same time, which complicated things even more), but it has a lot of potential for getting hooked and in the zone while playing.

Awesome job!
Apr 18 15:05:00 4m 00s Sky Panic I love the graphic style (the combination of styles between gameplay assets and the fonts works very nicely), and how you applied the switching mechanic.

Great job! (and hopefully you'll be feeling better now)
Apr 18 15:21:00 16m 00s Disquieting Excerpts from My Diary Very nice story, even despite the lack of sound, which is generally a large component in the mood aspect, you did create a very nice sense of atmosphere. As for the story, it kept me engaged all along. Puzzles at first seemed a bit odd, but then it all clicked and made perfect sense. Great job!
Apr 18 15:40:00 19m 00s NOUKE Very original concept and nice touches of humour. At first I had some problems to lure townspeople away, but it's easy to grasp after a while if you're paying attention. Great job!
Apr 18 16:37:00 57m 00s Swarm Blast Awesome concept, very interesting take on the theme!!

I like the shape graphics and particle effects a lot, they're simple and effective. Well done!
Apr 18 16:57:00 20m 00s The Materialistic Shift Brilliant entry! The take on the theme is clever, gameplay is clear and challenging, and it feels very polished, I can very easily become a full game :)

Congrats!
Apr 18 17:05:00 8m 00s Absorber Cool concept, at first I thought it was similar to mine, but when you notice the focus on the absorption mechanic then it feels really different.

I really dig the parallax effect on the starfield and the shape transition (but it's a bit slow, sometimes it was a bit hard to find a vict...a shape and change before it escaped).

You accomplished a lot in just 6 hours, great job!
Apr 18 18:14:00 1h 09m Shifty Shapes Quite a solid entry overall, it adds a nice twist to familiar mechanics :)

I'm missing the ability to swipe/drag 'n' drop for shifting the shapes, clicking on the arrows might break immersion a bit if you play long enough.
Apr 18 18:18:00 4m 00s Neo Shifter Visuals are impressive, but can get a bit exhausting to the eye after playing for a while (and mechanics work perfectly, so that's likely :D). At the beginning I had some problems to distinguish destruction particles from enemy bullets, but you end up learning.

Very nice game!
Apr 19 02:05:00 7h 47m GeoShift I love the art style and the concept, a brilliant take on the theme. Congrats!!
Apr 19 02:33:00 28m 00s anthropomorphic suspect Great concept, and nice execution! The matching and detective mechanics fit together very well.
Apr 19 02:40:00 7m 00s The Tortoise and the Hare and the Snake Great concept and execution, I really like how you really need to juggle between the three animals to survive, you get to feel a certain tension when you see an owl and are just about to hunt a mouse.

Nice job!
Apr 19 02:47:00 7m 00s QUACKTRIS Graphics and music are super cute <3. Gameplay is interesting and feels mostly polished (I had a couple of issues dropping blocks and landing further away), but I felt that progression was a bit slow.

Great job!
Apr 19 13:58:00 11h 11m windowframe I was already expecting something innovative, but wow...Brilliant concept perfectly executed and a lot of content (I've only reached the third vampire so far!). It is insane what you achieved in 48 hours, I'm so envious...

Amazing job!!
Apr 19 14:53:00 55m 00s 55 Days Very nice and polished game.

I'm not sure if it's possible to lose after those 55 days, (I admit I wasn't min-maxing very carefully, so I was expecting some failure condition eventually), but I found it a welcome detail. It makes for a more relaxed experience, fitting the aesthetics.

Great job!!
Apr 19 15:22:00 29m 00s ShmupShifter Awesome! It all felt very polished, and I love the retro graphics. Great job!!
Apr 19 15:37:00 15m 00s Xenoshift Graphics and sound are among the best I've seen so far this Ludum, brilliant job, it creates quite a tense mood. The game idea is also very interesting, but finding the alien felt a bit frustrating, perhaps I wasn't paying enough attention at the detector sounds.

Great job! :D
Apr 19 15:44:00 7m 00s Desperate Times I love the graphic style and the take on the theme. As Cerno_b has said, though, the ship is a bit too slow.

Being able to customize controls is a welcome detail, btw :)
Apr 19 15:48:00 4m 00s Dango Smash Great concept, but it is a bit hard to aim without any visual indicator.
Apr 19 15:51:00 3m 00s Space Shift Loved the idea, polish and execution was solid, too (...and the "shape shift" sound effect is super cool!). Great job!
Apr 19 16:11:00 20m 00s Sleeping Kitty! Visuals and sound are really, really cute. The game itself feels and plays very polished. A couple of things.

- Maybe I'm just really bad, but I've had problems remembering the key mappings on my mind when I'm focused on spotting the shape first. Perhaps adding a small reminder of the keys on the game screen at the bottom could help.
- Please, add a "quick restart" button at the end! :D

All in all, this is a very solid entry. Congrats!! :)
Apr 19 16:34:00 23m 00s Crops of Carnage Extreme birth control :D

Very cool game! The concept is quite original and the end result is a fun little puzzle. Liked the graphics a lot, as well.

Great job!
Apr 19 16:42:00 8m 00s Shapeshipster This is the best shoot-em-up I've played so far. Controls feel very polished, the psychedelic art style is incredibly trippy (I love it!!) and music is great as well.

Congratulations!
Apr 20 01:05:00 8h 23m The Ooze Awesome entry! You made a great job with the puzzles on each level, and the sound effects were really creepy, they did a great job setting the mood.

Well done! :)
Apr 20 01:23:00 18m 00s Listen and Shift Nice entry! You added some interesting twists in the rules to the base mechanics. It could be a helpful tool to teach spelling and listening skills to non-English speakers :DD
Good job!
Apr 20 01:44:00 21m 00s Blink Great game! Visuals feel very polished and clear, and so do the game controls, really responsive on a gamepad. You did an awesome job on the music side as well, it helps a lot with getting in the zone.

Like @snoodleking, I also had trouble figuring out the combos but I hadn't read the instructions, so shame on me in this case.

Awesome job!
Apr 20 02:11:00 27m 00s CYGLiDE It's a bit hard to control (I can see how moving the cursor can feel closer to the real motion and that sounds really cool in principle, but most of the time I didn't have a clear insight on why a specific cursor move action made the wings flap and why seconds later I tried to do the same and I just glided), but on the plus side the animations of the robot when I got the moves right were mesmerizing.

The environment is beautiful, too. With some sound and improved controls I can easily picture myself just flying around, as the experience had very immersive moments.

Considering that it's a compo entry you did an amazing job. I hope you keep improving it! :)
Apr 20 02:24:00 13m 00s TRUMP: Political Shapeshifter Great entry! You used a clever take on the theme and the retro visuals are really well made (I found your game from your tutorial on adapting photos to pixel-art, thanks for that!). Oh, and nice music, too!
Apr 20 02:30:00 6m 00s Radiance The move mechanic is quite original, but it is hard to control it, it feels as if friction was too high. By making motion more fluid it could blend amazingly well with the graphics and music you've created, those two are great.

Nice job!
Apr 20 02:45:00 15m 00s Shape Shifter Nice idea! :D To help players about the new controls that become available after a while you could add some visual (or sound, if you plan to add it) hint.
After reading the instructions I was tapping the arrow keys for a while with no effect until suddenly they start to react without any indication (to tell the truth you kind of guess when that happens, but it's hard to establish the connection).

Oh, and some advice for deploying
=>You don't need to add the *.pdb files to the build, they can grow huge and are useless to the players.
=>Same goes for the Unity project. In theory, the only folders you need to distribute to someone else are "Assets" and "ProjectSettings".
Apr 20 02:53:00 8m 00s Helium-4 This has a lot of potential (it feels very rewarding when you start to see how the combinations interact with others), but as they've said, there is not much yet on the side of gameplay.

On another plus side, it feels really polished. Great job!
Apr 20 03:16:00 23m 00s Sub Dragon Top marks as usual. I dig the way the dragon links move together, it looks so natural. The core mechanics are very original and well executed (I had some problems manoeuvring with the gamepad, though, so I went back to mouse and keyboard), and graphics and music could almost pass for final assets on a full-fledged indie game.

Considering that we're talking about a compo game, that's impressive (it could easily rival with the bet entries on the jam, too).

I'm terrible at it, but I've had a lot of fun so far.

Brilliant job!
Apr 20 03:27:00 11m 00s ShiftHeroes Nice concept and very cute graphics. It can be a bit repetitive, but progression helps by letting you discover new resource/creature types as you level up.

Good job!
Apr 20 03:34:00 7m 00s Evolution Great entry! I loved the graphics and specially how fluid the animations felt. Music was good as well, but eventually it became a bit repetitive.

I agree with people about the frog being the easiest, but the different skills of each shape are cool and blend in nicely with the game.
Apr 20 15:04:00 11h 30m Altered Bunny Brilliant entry! Graphics and sound/music are tops, and gameplay was fun and felt polished as well. I really liked the levels rotating mechanic.

Awesome job! :)
Apr 20 15:13:00 9m 00s Greenwood P.I. I really liked this one, story was engaging and the graphic style made me laugh a couple of times. Good job!
Apr 20 15:20:00 7m 00s Shape Assault Cool job! Controls were smooth and I really liked the visual style. I had problems telling when I was doing fine and when I was being hit, though. Probably making enemy bullets a different colour or shape could help.

Nice entry! :D
Apr 20 15:38:00 18m 00s The Dark Room I fell back into the darkness :_S

Great entry. Besides cleverly fitting the theme, the plot is engaging and well written, and the subtle music and sound help a lot to define the eerie atmosphere.

Awesome job!
Apr 20 16:06:00 28m 00s HappyNest The setting and take on the theme are brilliant, and so are graphics and sound. Flawless work on all this!

As for gameplay, at first I thought it was a rhythm game similar to the Ouendan series, until I realised you just had to click. By the 4th or 5th wave it started to feel repetitive.

However, this offers a lot of potential to improve it, and everything else is already awesome. ¡Buen trabajo!
Apr 20 16:09:00 3m 00s Blue Moon Great entry! Navigation around the globe is smooth, and despite the hunters the experience is mostly relaxed, well done!
Apr 20 16:32:00 23m 00s TriTurn Nice entry and execution! The concept was simple, but very addictive :)
Apr 20 16:51:00 19m 00s The Mind of Marlo Brilliant take on the theme, well-rounded and funny game. Great job!! :D
Apr 20 17:19:00 28m 00s Dovetail Presentation was awesome, but precision was too tight and it made the game a bit frustrating to play. Perhaps a more gradual difficulty could help getting used to it. Still, you've done a great job! :)
Apr 20 17:34:00 15m 00s Project G.R.I.L.L. Awesome presentation and execution! However, I felt some shapes were way better than others, the red in particular was guaranteed to take a hit if I got close enough to shoot. With a bit more balancing you can easily have a very fun game. Well done!
Apr 20 17:51:00 17m 00s Eggplant’s Dynamic Chimerization Presentation was great, I already expected that from your update posts and you didn't disappoint. High marks on that, audio and mood :D

Gameplay, though, is still a bit lacking. The shapeshifting mechanic is good, but movement, specially when interacting with enemies, is a bit cumbersome. Also, the meme texts seem a bit forced and out of place most of the time.
Despite this, you did a great job, mechanics can always be polished. Nice!
Apr 21 04:44:00 10h 53m ShapeMagnet Wow, this was intense! The main concept is deceptively simple, but it hides a very challenging game. It also revealed a slightly sadistic part of me, as I began to focus more on forcing collisions than to retrieve the keys.

Graphics were also fitting, I loved the subtle glows and lights. Very solid entry overall, congrats! (Oh, and your concept is more innovative than my "mix all the shoot-em-ups!", kudos for that :D)
Apr 21 05:05:00 21m 00s Cyan Very solid entry, as usual. I really liked the music in particular.

However, controls were a bit frustrating. I understand the reasoning for the choice on keys, (actually, for me ZXC would have been even more cumbersome even if I have a QWERTY layout), but juggling so frequently between jump and switch was causing some strain on my left hand's ring and little fingers.

This aside, congrats for an amazingly polished game :D
Apr 21 05:12:00 7m 00s //SHIFT/haxe Awesome graphic style!
The concept was fitting the theme nicely, controls were tight (but switching with the keys was problematic on areas crowded with bullets) and the upgrades system was very interesting.
Apr 21 05:19:00 7m 00s Colour Shift Graphics and sound were brilliant, among the best ones I've seen so far, but unfortunately it was a bit frustrating to control.
Apr 21 12:01:00 6h 42m Run Rainbow Run Nice, colourful entry! Controls are responsive and music fits perfectly. As an extra, the web version plays perfectly on my mobile :D
Apr 21 17:38:00 5h 37m Double Army Great concept!! This is a very original and clever take on the theme. The setting also has some funny touches (I read your post on the blog roll :D), which helped with getting engaged to the game.

Execution is also well done with some minor issues. The actual area of detection wasn't clear, so I had to walk quite far away from units to be able to shape shift. As a suggestion (I didn't get to notice if this is actually implemented or not) I was expecting to score better by taking out enemy higher ups in order to rank faster. Otherwise it ends up being a bit cumbersome to go back and forth with small groups and units (also, there's a lot of empty space, making the action phase slower).

Probably balancing the numbers a bit could help a lot and you might not need to touch anything else. The good thing is you already have a very solid and promising idea. Great job!!
Apr 21 23:57:00 6h 19m Abducktion Wow... Music, graphics and gameplay are great, and the level is reasonably sized, too. For 48h you've done an amazing job. Congrats!!

I really liked how well the shape transitions fit together and how tight the controls felt. Every time I f*cked up and fell to my death I was totally positive that it had been my fault, not the game's.
Apr 22 22:17:00 22h 20m It got Paul! And now it's coming for US!!! Great homage to "The Thing!". I agree to some extent with the other posters about when to know if you're being seen or not, but other than that the game is brilliant. Music helps creating a tense atmosphere, and I really like the pixel art graphics.

So far I've only managed to eat 3 people before getting roasted, but I've had a more than decent amount of fun. You should really keep working on it! :)
Apr 22 23:41:00 1h 24m Paperchase The airplane is really hard to control, but the game concept itself is great, it reminded me a bit of Kirby :D

Graphics and music are beautiful. It's amazing the level of polish you achieved in 48h. Great job!
Apr 23 00:28:00 47m 00s Zen and the Art of Transhumanism The game concept and setting are brilliant, innovative and a really clever take on the theme, as expected. Same goes for the visual style, amazingly detailed.

However, controls are a bit frustrating. You end up getting the gist of the main interactions on the lathe, and I actually expected that part to be challenging (After all, I still remember some pottery games with a toy lathe from when I was younger, and the end results were always a failure :_D), but some UI interactions felt slightly glitchy.

Despite this, you managed to deliver one of the best entries so far this LD. ¡Felicidades!
Apr 23 00:37:00 9m 00s Prince Charmless Top marks here! I love everything about the game (except the pimples...ugghhh!). Great graphics, humour, sound, brilliant concept, execution...should I continue?

Awesome job, congrats!!
Apr 23 01:19:00 42m 00s Perception Brilliant! One of the most innovative games I've played!

Managing the perceptors was a very clever mechanic, as the more aware you were of your surroundings the "clumsier" you would get because of the size. That added some welcome challenge as well.

Congratulations, this could be interesting as a full game!
Apr 23 01:29:00 10m 00s SHΔPE Great idea. I liked the simple mechanics and the minimalistic visuals. I got the feeling that pacing took some time to build up, though.

After a first game with a miserable 2 or 3 points, I scored 139 on the second :)
Apr 23 01:35:00 6m 00s Henkan Pachinko Nice idea! Levels were well thought of, you need to add more!

Graphics are a bit trickier to rate, the background drawing and the materials alone are good, but the mix feels a bit odd.

Good entry, congrats!
Apr 23 01:43:00 8m 00s Polymorphic Menagerie Interesting idea, it reminded me a bit of Starseed pilgrim for some reason.

I had to read throuh the instructions twice, to be honest. At first I wasn't too sure of what I was doing. Then it clicks and it becomes a very original game. Nice work!
Apr 23 02:04:00 21m 00s Infinity Access It's a bit odd to play, but I like the concept. I'm all for dealing with social/political issues, especially with a touch of humour. Well done!
Apr 23 02:41:00 37m 00s Booba Loomba Very solid entry. I loved the level design and progression, the cute graphics, music and in short, the whole game. Congratulations!

...but now I've become a bit sick with all the rotations @_@

And well, the javascript alerts when you completed the level were a minor annoyance.
Apr 23 02:50:00 9m 00s Dawning The fire, the fire... T_T

Very interesting idea, and it's especially merit-worthy with so little development time. Great job!!
Apr 23 02:56:00 6m 00s BattleMath There's a saying in Spanish about learning lessons with blood ("la letra con sangre entra"). Well, you've just applied that to Maths. Great entry! :D
Apr 23 13:56:00 11h 00m Lonely Mountain - A shape shifting tv series Yay, second season!

Very good entry, I liked the take on the theme and the concept itself. Congrats!
Apr 23 14:13:00 17m 00s The Frog Prince and the Iron Heart The key element here is the way the story is actually shaped (a clever second layer dealing with the theme) as you keep reading. I really liked this.

The game was interesting, but the choices were very reduced, but that's understandable given the time constraints and the fact that you punt a considerable amount of writing.

Good job!!
Apr 23 14:27:00 14m 00s Future-Anthropology Facility Great concept! (but I feel like a horrible person now! :D)
Apr 23 14:56:00 29m 00s The Incredible Vending Machine Interesting idea.

As for execution (of course, I'm aware that 3 days or less can only go so far and you accomplished a lot on that time, this is more in case you keep on working on the post-jam version) some UI interactions feel slow, and this kind of game itself yields to some relaxed gameplay.

Of course, relaxed gameplay is perfectly fine, but if you need to spend half of the time you could be checking for new items switching screens one at a time it can eventually become annoying. Perhaps you could make the screens cycle or add some shortcuts for each one on the top bar. Also, have the thesaurus section work so that once you choose a synonym you retrieve the item automatically on the bar above.
Apr 23 15:06:00 10m 00s Rubik's Plane Amazing concept!! Deceivingly simple, but it turns out to be a very cool puzzle.
Apr 23 15:36:00 30m 00s Tetroidvania Argh, I got stuck!
http://pasteboard.co/p6dKzFY.png

I really, really liked the game. It had the right amount of frustration to keep going, and you managed to blend two (apparently) impossible genres into a brilliant concept.
Apr 23 22:49:00 7h 13m Soothsayer Simulator 2016 Very original take on the theme. I like entries aiming to explore unexpected means for storytelling or mechanics.

Nicely done!
Apr 23 23:11:00 22m 00s THIS IS AMAZING Very interesting game, there is a lot of potential as a puzzle on mobile devices.

The only minor issue (and that's subjective) is that it starts very easy until you've completed around one half of the levels.

Great job!
Apr 23 23:34:00 23m 00s The Killer's Apprentice You nailed the mood, but gameplay on the other hand felt a bit pointless.
Apr 25 16:54:00 41h 20m Potionshift I like the concept and graphics were well done. Was each colour linked to a specific transformation? I was expecting that and perhaps it is that way, but it was hard for me to notice, specially when there were combos.

Anyway, well done!
Apr 25 19:37:00 2h 43m Moveless Chess Very clever twist on chess and good execution. I miss some feedback when you run out of AP, but other than that the entry is very solid. Good job!!
Apr 26 15:58:00 20h 21m Turbo Transform Very solid entry, I really liked the graphic style and some clever design touches. Great job! :)
Apr 28 22:32:00 54h 34m SHAPE☆SHIFT Clever twist on the theme and gameplay, and really cute graphics. As others have said, jumps and movement feel a bit floaty, and I got stuck on the fat wall, but the idea already demonstrates a huge potential. Well done!! :D
May 2 22:57:00 96h 25m Biological Warfare Very good mechanics, and the metaballs effect is really well made. Congrats!!
May 3 01:01:00 2h 04m Perspective Great idea! As others have said, the connection to the theme is a bit thin, but you've put out a very interesting concept, the perspective switching can open the door to some pretty cool level ideas.
