| Dec 17 03:09:00 | Mama is Sick | You almost made me cry.. Truth is I've met several people in exactly this situation, forced to choose work (at absurd rates) over school in my travels. This hit home. Nice work. | |
| Dec 17 14:27:00 | 11h 18m | #YOGO Platform | No problems running it over here. Good first entry! |
| Dec 17 14:45:00 | 18m 00s | Fighter's last hope | Loads of fun! Took me six or seven tries but I beat it (once with no special ability and once with. The AI is really cool! |
| Dec 17 15:00:00 | 15m 00s | Hammerfall | Great fun with surprisingly intuitive controls! Some balancing work would be nice, I felt it was a bit too easy. Survived 10 waves, died on 11. |
| Dec 17 15:08:00 | 8m 00s | NUCLEAR | Great art, but very buggy (at least on my computer). I could clip through all sorts of things and see unrendered back-edges. |
| Dec 17 15:14:00 | 6m 00s | Single-Shot Space Hero: Adventures Through Time and Space; Encounters With The Green Worms of the Edgeworth-Kuiper Belt Planetoid Quaoar | Kept dying all the time, I either suck at this or I'm missing something completely. My ship should be able to take more hits, and there should be more room to dodge stuff |
| Dec 17 18:50:00 | 3h 36m | Mikes toy | 0xc0000007b again :( I had the same problem with my game originally, it's usually because SDL and your application are linking with different MSVC runtimes. Hope that helps :/ |
| Dec 17 18:54:00 | 4m 00s | Charcoal | Doesn't want to run. Win8 64bit over here :(, tried a few things (compat settings etc., but nothing). Will check back in a while to see if there's a fix. |
| Dec 17 18:56:00 | 2m 00s | Pyramid Quest | Not bad! Great level design, and great to see an online high-score :). The camera felt like it fell behind a bit at times and, well, the art could've been better, but hey, nice work! |
| Dec 17 20:47:00 | 1h 51m | Jump Chip | A bit too hard for my scatterbrain -- I can't focus on two things at same time; but otherwise really great idea and /very/ well executed. |
| Dec 17 23:03:00 | 2h 16m | One Coffin | A lot of great stuff going on here! Very polished and a really interesting concept. But way, way, way too hard! |
| Dec 18 00:19:00 | 1h 16m | You only have one quantum hyperdimensional nuclear fusion powered neuro-AI cube...and button | Interesting! A bit frustrating on the controls though, it's a nice concept but might not work that well in execution :/. |
| Dec 18 00:31:00 | 12m 00s | The Voyage | Aaw, I really like the concept of this! Too bad it ended a bit abruptly. I wish there was some sort of narrative that connected some planets together, maybe you find a way to penetrate the "impenetrable" orb? All in all, great atmosphere and I really wish I could play more! |
| Dec 18 04:25:00 | 3h 54m | 0RBITALIS | Finished it -- really well executed. Particularly impressed with the predicted paths. Are you using RK4 for integration, or just good ol' fashion Euler? |
| Dec 18 04:34:00 | 9m 00s | yogo | Very well polished and good fundamentals. |
| Dec 18 16:36:00 | 12h 02m | Process Journey | Not bad! It sets the mood quite well! Felt a bit aimless at times (wasn't sure what I was meant to do), but then again that's a common problem in adventure games. Great one here without a doubt! |
| Dec 18 18:14:00 | 1h 38m | One way out | You really meant one life, huh? You die and if you retry you stay dead, pretty damn cool if you ask me. The graphics are really cool as well -- you have some issues with the controls they're a bit slide-y if you get what I mean, but overall a very solid entry. |
| Dec 18 18:24:00 | 10m 00s | OP is OP | I like the fundamentals, the idea of choosing a superpower. The levels were a bit too hard, some of the jumps in particular, and the controls are not tight enough to allow you to do them well. Also, the music was pretty bad-ass! |
| Dec 18 18:36:00 | 12m 00s | You Only Got One Shot | Multiplayer is great fun, it's a good thing I had my flatmate to try this out with. Simple but effective! |
| Dec 18 18:40:00 | 4m 00s | Choice | Very short, interesting but a bit too short. I like the idea but there wasn't really much of a choice. Still, I finished it with a smile. |
| Dec 18 18:47:00 | 7m 00s | You only get one bullet | It's a neat idea but it was too easy, the backgrounds are very hard on the eyes (some backgrounds were almost white making it impossible to see the bullet) and the music incredibly frustrating. |
| Dec 18 18:47:00 | 0s | The One Orb | Very slow controls, but it's a decent concept. Would work better with RTS-like controls, click-dragging to select rightclicking to move, etc. |
| Dec 18 18:53:00 | 6m 00s | Escape Of The Red Gem | The idea with the charge for going up works well, but there isn't enough diversity in the content. It does require some cool platforming thinking though. |
| Dec 18 19:07:00 | 14m 00s | One Element | A bit glitchy and to be honest not very entertaining. Maybe give more choices at the start or let people level up quicker to begin with? |
| Dec 18 19:18:00 | 11m 00s | Space Jumper | The link is broken :( I will try later again. |
| Dec 18 19:26:00 | 8m 00s | Spee the Sperm | The controls are very tricky and the game is kind of unintuitive. But overall the idea is nice and very well done on the visuals! |
| Dec 18 19:34:00 | 8m 00s | In Space | Once I figured out that I had to BUY controls I found it pretty addictive to try to max the upgrades, but unfortunatly I quickly realised I wasn't really having much fun. Cool idea, but rather simple execution. |
| Dec 18 19:37:00 | 3m 00s | You Only Get One Color | A bit too tricky to figure out, could use a lot more polish :). But great idea! (And great use of the theme) |
| Dec 18 19:40:00 | 3m 00s | Cherry Candy Raep Gaiden | Eeh, what? |
| Dec 18 19:48:00 | 8m 00s | Pixel Factory | It works for me! And it while it took a bit of time to figure out what I needed to do, it was quite rewarding to build a factory: really cool concept. |
| Dec 18 19:51:00 | 3m 00s | 015873's Prison Break | Well, not as bad as it looks to be honest! The puzzles were more fun that I expected :D. |
| Dec 18 19:55:00 | 4m 00s | Vega Core | Looks very nice! Though gameplay is a bit dull after a while. |
| Dec 18 19:57:00 | 2m 00s | Last Squadron | Quite well executed, the graphics and controls (I would reall like interacting with E, jetpack with W and shooting with SPACE) are not that great but the mechanica work really well. I like the fact that when you die you just get another try and you keep your money -- good feeling of progression. |
| Dec 18 20:01:00 | 4m 00s | YOU ONLY GET ONE SPACEMAN | Small but well executed -- the way LD28 games should be. The art is great and the mechanics tight. |
| Dec 18 20:02:00 | 1m 00s | By Your Command! | So damn hard! Maybe tweak the balance a bit? Was very hard to avoid shots, I just wasn't fast enough. Cool idea though. |
| Dec 18 20:06:00 | 4m 00s | The Zombie Skull Seeking Bullet | Simple concept well executed. Graphics and music fit the atmosphere well, my only complaint is a lack of diversity. The fact the the bullet kills you is a nice touch. |
| Dec 18 20:13:00 | 7m 00s | Call of Monsters | I had to get XNA and then it worked. It's a good concept and I like that monsters slow you down, but they slow you a bit too much which makes it frustrating. More content would make a really good game. |
| Dec 18 20:14:00 | 1m 00s | Mr.Rect | Could've been longer, but had lots of fun at the idea! Very witty! |
| Dec 18 20:22:00 | 8m 00s | One Shot Showdown | That was pretty cool! The bullets take ages to stop though, so if both players happen to miss it's very annoying to wait. Graphics are brilliant! |
| Dec 18 20:34:00 | 12m 00s | Wilhelm's Escape | Great concept, I thoroughly enjoyed it! Got to the sex shop card as well and opened the door. Can you actually escape? Please please tell me :) |
| Dec 18 20:38:00 | 4m 00s | One Wish | Very interesting idea! I like the fact that it makes you think at times. A bit of a depressing "solution", but I guess it's true that there's no way to get rid of all sadness. One suggestion would be to make wishes affect other people in the scene, and potentially affect scenes in the future. But hey, great game given the time! |
| Dec 18 20:43:00 | 5m 00s | Nature's Howl | Good job, very polished, but the progression is a bit slow. Very solid overall though. |
| Dec 18 20:50:00 | 7m 00s | Revenge of the Last Guardian of Destruction | Well polished but it's missing some things here and there -- health bar on ship, more enemy types, more weapons etc. But very well executed with tight controls and excellent graphics. |
| Dec 18 20:51:00 | 1m 00s | Loops of Fate | Too short and too easy! I wish I could play 100 more levels. Very pretty and relaxing in a way. Spend some time polishing and making levels and you can easily release this game! Would work especially well on portable platforms. |
| Dec 18 21:04:00 | 13m 00s | Uno, one | Solid work all around and surprisingly addictive. The art style and music create a brilliant mood, it's raining with stars on you :) |
| Dec 18 21:08:00 | 4m 00s | The Misfight | It was well executed but I wish there was more content, I kept winning at ~6sec. Typing challenges should be harder when you expect coders to play it :P. |
| Dec 18 21:13:00 | 5m 00s | Dungeoneer | A bit too hard for me, kept dying all the time. The probes were a nice touch but I wonder if a space exploration game wouldn't |
| Dec 18 21:15:00 | 2m 00s | Out | Do I win if I manage to quit the game before crashing the browser? I think I do. |
| Dec 18 21:21:00 | 6m 00s | You Only Get One Gift (for christmas) | Actually really great! Played it with a smile all the way. |
| Dec 18 21:23:00 | 2m 00s | You only get one... EVERYTHING!!! | Very challenging and I like the procedural generation, spices things up. I would enjoy if there was more of a learning curve, though. |
| Dec 18 21:28:00 | 5m 00s | ArenaFighterz Game | As @Seigeengine pointed out, it has some tech issues that really harm the playability but with more work it would probably be a good platformer. |
| Dec 18 21:31:00 | 3m 00s | RetroBall | It crashed when "restarting" which was annoying since the tutorial screen at the start is not skippable and takes a very long time to disappear. Otherwise, a neat concept and very pleasing retro graphics! |
| Dec 18 21:34:00 | 3m 00s | Nobag | I like the graphics with the club actually getting bigger when you lift it and the basic concept was good, but there wasn't much variety. |
| Dec 18 21:40:00 | 6m 00s | Super Mega Unicycle Xtreme | I like the idea of an extreme unicycle tricks game and the level is really well designed and pretty. But the technical bits could be better, the controls don't feel very natural and there are some glitchy physics. I also ended up on my side which made me have to restart. Good idea, could use more effort on execution. |
| Dec 18 21:41:00 | 1m 00s | YOGO PATH | Very good mechanic, graphics, audio, and tight controls. Not much bad I can say about it :) More variety between stages would be nice, I guess. |
| Dec 18 21:48:00 | 7m 00s | You only got one minute remaining | Too shooooort! And a bit too easy. Lots of potential here, great graphics and fluid controls. Maybe make a post-Ludum version? |
| Dec 18 22:03:00 | 15m 00s | One man, one shot | Absolutely excellent graphics, reminds me a lot of Another World. Was the character rotoscoped, by any chance? The only problems I have with the game are the glitches (which you mention), but still didn't have much trouble finishing it -- nothing game breaking. |
| Dec 18 22:11:00 | 8m 00s | The Last Bullet | Best one bullet Dalek-fighting game /I/ ever played :) Jumping over enemies was a bit tricky as touching them, even a tiny bit, killed you. |
| Dec 18 22:20:00 | 9m 00s | Press X to Win | A must have on any platform although it benefits most of the fine control offered by a mouse and keyboard. |
| Dec 18 22:25:00 | 5m 00s | DRAIN | Innovative concept, excellently executed and polished to a tee. Also, very addictive with a 'just one more try' feel to it -- sell it on mobile and you'll be a rich man/woman. |
| Dec 18 22:32:00 | 7m 00s | Serious Surgery | A very interesting theme, hard to pinpoint. The mix of organ donation and happy go lucky sounds and facial expressions strikes a very good chord. A very unique entry. |
| Dec 18 22:43:00 | 11m 00s | Moments of Paranoia | Checked out your game cause I remembered you from Jellycakes' stream (cristicbz here) and was not disappointed :D. Clicking ahead through the dialogue would've made slightly better, but I the idea was cool and the art and writing were pretty darn good. Nice job! |
| Dec 18 22:47:00 | 4m 00s | Fill-In Fantasy | More content would be great, particularly more choices in combat. Still, a solid game. |
| Dec 18 22:55:00 | 8m 00s | One Douchebag | Surprisingly addictive, and fun to beat up douchebag after douchebag. Still apparently I'm terrible at spotting 'em :P |
| Dec 18 23:00:00 | 5m 00s | One Glimpse of Freedom | The rats were a bit unpredictable, maybe if they had a predetermined path (a single direction back-and-forth) and you could catch a glimpse of which way the were going? Solid entry otherwise with a good take on the theme. |
| Dec 18 23:02:00 | 2m 00s | Place. | Without a doubt my favourite entry so far (and I've rated over 100 games so far). Very emotional, excellent level design, beautiful art and simply a great captivating narrative. I can't imagine how it feel to be a bird but this gets pretty close to it. Well done. |
| Dec 18 23:04:00 | 2m 00s | Rocket Fuel | Simple but strong. |
| Dec 19 00:14:00 | 1h 10m | One Touch Of Music | Simon Says + Geometrical Puzzle = Win! Make this for mobile and call me when you're rich :P |
| Dec 19 00:15:00 | 1m 00s | One Day Fly | Great game! A bit challenging to figure out what to do, but hey, maybe that's just me who suck at these puzzle adventure games ;). Excellent setting and atmosphere. |
| Dec 19 00:20:00 | 5m 00s | You Only Get One Doughnut | Was surprised to find that this was actually so cool! I expected silly donut story, but it turned out to be much more. Extremely well written! |
| Dec 19 00:21:00 | 1m 00s | You Are The One | That was surprisingly fun! The controls were smooth and I liked how you had to make sure you took the right path since you couldn't back-track. It was a bit frustrating at times though. Was it really intentional to kill you if you pressed both mouse buttons at the same time? If not the it was probably a bug and a quite annoying one :/. You should see if you can't fix that. |
| Dec 19 00:36:00 | 15m 00s | THE DOOR | 10/10 |
| Dec 19 00:41:00 | 5m 00s | Save One For The Kids | 57125, not that happy with my score, but the concept is cool and the game is very polished! Also a big fan of the art style. |
| Dec 19 00:42:00 | 1m 00s | TankoKitty | Haha, that was awesome. The randomness is great, and the fact that the enemies are useless made me laugh my ass off! :P Great work! |
| Dec 19 00:50:00 | 8m 00s | One Through The Gate | I really liked the fact that you could only "escape" with one of the cubes at the end. Great use of the theme! Oh, and also great puzzle design, a bit easy maybe. |
| Dec 19 00:51:00 | 1m 00s | Light Away | Took a while to get it but once I beat the game it made me feel very smart: that's how puzzle games should feel, great job! My only complaint is that it's a bit on the short side. |
| Dec 19 00:57:00 | 6m 00s | Extractor | Wow, quite a lot of mechanics going on here, a lot more advanced than I first thought. Well done! A bit too ambitious maybe, as it leaves the quality a bit lacking. I was more excited about the digging than fending off bandits or crafting. But hey great game none the less! |
| Dec 19 01:01:00 | 4m 00s | Cowboy Conundrum | Hey, the visuals are great! But it just seems very unfinished, maybe try a less ambitious game next time? I always say quality over quantity :). |
| Dec 19 01:10:00 | 9m 00s | Jim's Night At Work | I didn't give this game a go because of the screenshot, kind of put me off with the very simple 3D graphics, but hey, it was actually interesting! Pretty weird and creepy, but fun! The ending was a bit anticlimactic and the story could've been a bit more interactive. |
| Dec 19 01:19:00 | 9m 00s | The Follower | I would love to play a longer, more feature full version of this game! Please do keep developing it! Populous used to be one of my favourite games and I'm a strong follower of Molyneux sill today. Excellent entry! If only it was a bit longer... |
| Dec 19 03:11:00 | 1h 52m | Unibrow | Had great fun playing, unfortunately I clipped through the moving platform on the 'the key is up there I'm not lying this time' and couldn't continue :( Anyway one of the best entries I've played so far :) |
| Dec 19 03:14:00 | 3m 00s | A 'Hunter, Gatherer, Whatever' Story | Very hard too aim, it would've needed a bit more balancing and could've been loads more fun. Still a pretty solid concept with good boomerang mechanics. |
| Dec 19 03:20:00 | 6m 00s | Drone! | Good foundation and pretty darn good graphics; with more content could turn into a very cool little platformer. |
| Dec 19 03:28:00 | 8m 00s | Space Highway Clearance Simulator | Great take on Asteroids. Loved angular momentum and inertial dampers (while unrealistic :P) are vital in these cirscumstances. A bit more variety -- different kinds of asteroids, maybe black holes that suck you in etc would be cool if you plan to develop it further. Very fun entry, good job! |
| Dec 19 03:35:00 | 7m 00s | VisiOne | The concept is really cool, it made me think about what is the most important info my brain uses when playing platformers. With a bit more work on graphics & audio you'd have a really great game on your hands. |
| Dec 19 03:45:00 | 10m 00s | The hunter | A very unique entry which really perfectly shows how you can distill horror to its most core concepts. High marks all around! |
| Dec 19 09:49:00 | 6h 04m | Like a Boss | Haha, that was quite entertaining! Nice work! |
| Dec 19 09:53:00 | 4m 00s | Binary War | That was awesome :). At first I thought the graphics would annoy me (the menu is a bit hard to read) but in the actual game it fit really well! |
| Dec 19 09:55:00 | 2m 00s | You Only Get One Direction | Ah, same here with the MSVCP120.dll missing :(. Try packaging it with the game. I'll keep this one in the backlog and see if you get it fixed later on! |
| Dec 19 10:10:00 | 15m 00s | Chain Attack | That was a lot of fun! Loved the Zombie gun! Actually loved all the weapons! So satisfying to get a good kill in.. The worm seemed a bit too powerful but hey, that's just a bit of tweaking. |
| Dec 19 10:15:00 | 5m 00s | Asteroids:Omega | That was fun! But very hard. Didn't really like that the controls were so hard to manage, there was enough challenge in figuring out the shot trajectory :). But great polished minigame here! One of the better ones. |
| Dec 19 13:02:00 | 2h 47m | Medieval Fantasy Island | That was very impressive in terms of graphics and length! Quite a feat to create such a large game! In terms of innovation and, well, fun, there wasn't much I'm afraid ;). It felt a bit simple when there wasn't really much else to do than spam the 1 button (but hey, that's how a lot of fantasy rpg's are! :P) Very impressive work none the less! |
| Dec 19 13:20:00 | 18m 00s | Uno Terra | That was very impressive! I had a lot of fun! Great design, great balancing, visuals that did the job. One of the best entries, no doubt! Sound would've made it even better though! |
| Dec 19 13:26:00 | 6m 00s | Metal Track | Fun concept! Loved the character designs :D. It was a bit tricky to find each other and we spend most of the time trying to navigate the maze-like level rather than actual fighting, but once we did meet it was all guns and glory! :) (PS. Sound was still not working for me on the web player) |
| Dec 19 13:30:00 | 4m 00s | You Only Die Once | Brilliant graphics! Oh wait.. No, that was just my vivid imagination ;). But honestly, the writing really makes the places take shape in my head, great work! Could've been a bit longer though! |
| Dec 19 13:38:00 | 8m 00s | Xbowan | Took me a little while to figure out I could stand on the bolt to climb, and it was very hard to see where to go or figure out what to do. But the idea is very interesting, and I like the look of the bolt lighting up it's path (similar to our game in fact!). |
| Dec 19 13:44:00 | 6m 00s | The Ronin | Really solid mobile game! I can totally see this working out! Plan to release it? Great visuals, perfectly simple mechanics. I would suggest having a bit more variations in "slide patterns" when doing the killing blow since that part was pretty easy. Other than that, it's a great, polished, fun small game! |
| Dec 19 13:48:00 | 4m 00s | Others Have Many | The idea is really cool, but that was really tough to control. Maybe have a target cursor and use mouse for aiming? Simple but effective visuals. Maybe could've used some more "flashiness", like pretty pixel explosions and score popups. |
| Dec 19 13:53:00 | 5m 00s | The ruling party | I like the writing, it's a bit.. well.. not really much of a game, but it's interesting! It broke a few times on some of the paths (clicking on the only option just repeated the same thing), but restarting the game usually fixed it. |
| Dec 19 13:58:00 | 5m 00s | Going Down | Haha, that was hillarious. Loads of fun, if only a bit simple, but hey, it's a great short game! |
| Dec 19 14:02:00 | 4m 00s | My Champion | The controls are very tricky for me, not sure why, this makes the game impossibly hard. But I really like the visuals and tongue in cheek humour. Well done! |
| Dec 19 14:06:00 | 4m 00s | Prisoner's Dilemma | Sorry you couldn't finish this :(. I suppose prisoners dilemma isn't that entertaining of a game, but I'm curious of what your approach to it was. |
| Dec 19 14:13:00 | 7m 00s | Magnificent Evil Trap #28 | That was actually a lot of fun! A bit frustrating at time as the hero would catch the cage too quickly after releasing so you would accidentally take it with you down again, but otherwise great and simple fun! |
| Dec 19 14:16:00 | 3m 00s | White-Hat-Guy | Woa... Trippy... But great fun! Crazy person... |
| Dec 19 14:22:00 | 6m 00s | St. George's Day | Damn that was hard! Maybe slow down enemy shots a bit? It's very hard to dodge them. But nice visuals! Was missing a bit of pew pew BOOM sound effects :). Check out http://www.bfxr.net/ , very easy to make sound effects that would fit your game perfectly! |
| Dec 19 14:44:00 | 22m 00s | Clicken | I'm speechless... So incredibly addictive. Absolutely brilliant! Everything. The humour, the silly breaking of the fourth wall, the graphics, everything. Well, except that I could win the game and had to stop playing. Bravo my friend, bravo. |
| Dec 19 14:58:00 | 14m 00s | siamese | Very unique! The physics felt a bit hard to manage and some of the levels generated were a lot harder than others. But overall a really neat concept! Audio was spot on and the visuals really appealed, even though they were simple. Well done! |
| Dec 19 15:57:00 | 59m 00s | Fantastic Franklin | Love the style and look! Nice little sounds and animations, well polished! The puzzle seems incredibly hard though, couldn't even get close to finishing it :/. |
| Dec 19 16:10:00 | 13m 00s | Impoverished Starfighter | Very polished and well designed shoot em up! I guess it doesn't matter if your impoverished if all the upgrades are dirt cheap ;). But honestly, one of the best crafted games in the competition. Well done! |
| Dec 19 16:18:00 | 8m 00s | Space Scrap Armageddon 2000 | Wow, that was pretty intense, I agree that the controls are hard but honestly, if you think ahead before doing too much motion it's not that tricky, and hey, it's realistic! I would've liked up/down strafe as well though. Very challenging but well done game. I love the intensity of feeling lost in space. |
| Dec 19 19:15:00 | 2h 57m | Afterwife | Aside from the occasional bug and somewhat frustrating mechanics, the game is well done and I had quite a bit of fun! Nice job! |
| Dec 19 19:20:00 | 5m 00s | One Spear Savage | Simple and effective :). The controls grew on me but I would make the movement not require clicking but rather hold down the mouse button. Oh, and pretty particle effects! |
| Dec 19 19:28:00 | 8m 00s | You Only Get One Face | YES! Beard collecting! Hands down, best idea out there.

BUT, add a "restart" button, so you don't have to undo a bunch of times to get back to the start! |
| Dec 19 19:32:00 | 4m 00s | Double Cannon | This is damn hard on your own :D. My brain wanted to quit halfway through... But nice execution! Slick and polished, although a bit simple. Also, the theme is "you only get ONE" and you make a game about controlling TWO cannons!? We've got a rebel over here ;). |
| Dec 19 19:42:00 | 10m 00s | Elimination Protocol | That was awesome! Love the voice acting, very Portal-esque. Mechanics work well, but it's a bit dull in terms of puzzle variety. But hey, the game concept is there, and for 48 hours it's an amazing job! |
| Dec 19 19:47:00 | 5m 00s | Hatsumei Mage | That was a really neat concept! Got a bit easy when all they were spawning with was swords and I could just take them away, but the idea is really cool! |
| Dec 19 19:49:00 | 2m 00s | You Only Get One Boat | Eeeek, crazy hard :D. But the idea is neat and the graphics well done! Nice to hear some sound as well (a lot of entries forget to add sound!). |
| Dec 19 19:52:00 | 3m 00s | Present Delivery - a HunDevelopers production | Cute game! A bit simple and I wish there was some music and sound, but overall a fun submission! |
| Dec 19 19:59:00 | 7m 00s | Soup Tyrant | Well, I got 63 customers helped before game over, I'm satisfied :). PS. Did you actually work at a soup kitchen before? It's so damn accurate :D, (except for the 1 Ton weight crushing them). |
| Dec 19 20:04:00 | 5m 00s | OneShot | That was pretty neat! I loved the music! A bit frustrating that I had to close and re-open the page every time I died as it didn't restart on its own. But oh well, I managed to reach the mothership in the end! |
| Dec 19 20:15:00 | 11m 00s | Azimuth Zero | That was pretty impressive! I got the concept fairly quickly and I like the simplicity of it (despite it looking fairly complex). I'm amazed how someone can make a sim game in a 48 hour jam! |
| Dec 19 20:19:00 | 4m 00s | You only get one to exit | HINT: Use SPACE to keep the orb floating, try to make sure fairies don't crash into walls/obstacles.

Wow, this is incredibly hard! Some instructions would've helped! But the concept is really cool, and I like the swarm mechanic you've got going there! |
| Dec 19 20:23:00 | 4m 00s | You Only Get One Hero | Very well done for your first successful entry! You've got the pixel graphics nailed down and the mechanics are simple but fun, now you just need to add more content :). (And sound, don't forget sound!) |
| Dec 19 20:32:00 | 9m 00s | Last One | Haha, that was an amazing game! Don't let the graphics fool you! Great puzzles and very witty! Good thing I'm a wizard when my only weapon is an apple... ;)

Oh, and I'm not sure if I was supposed to kill the king at the end or not, but it felt good doing it :D. |
| Dec 19 20:37:00 | 5m 00s | No Drag in Space | Very nice! Love this :). Felt small and polished. Just the right amount of content for a Jam :). Also, thank god for indestructible ships ;). |
| Dec 19 20:45:00 | 8m 00s | MoNsteR IN my hEAd | This is a really neat idea, and the voice over is very well done, especially with the whispers in the background. But the gameplay was a bit hard, controls required three hands (WASD, Arrowkeys and Mouse... How?!), and once you started to get black on the screen the Arrows for how to push away the bad thoughts were impossible to see.

Still, all in all, a very interesting submission! |
| Dec 19 20:56:00 | 11m 00s | Necronomnomnomicon | That's an awesome game you've got there! Love the bizarre humour!

To reply to your comment on our game (Lumen): A level that is all glowing grass? That's going straight to our to-do list for the post-ludum version! Great idea! |
| Dec 19 23:01:00 | 2h 05m | The Visible Hand | That was neat! I liked the design of the level, it made me feel like I was sneaking around a high security server room or something. A bit short and could probably use some more polish, but overall a fun experience! |
| Dec 19 23:10:00 | 9m 00s | Better Half | That was a unique game for sure! Cute concept and a lot of nice feedback for whatever you were doing. I wasn't quite sure what the little ghost like people were supposed to be, but I tried to befriend them anyway :). The sound got a bit annoying after a while so I had to turn it down to almost quiet. Overall a great submission! 4/5 |
| Dec 19 23:15:00 | 5m 00s | You Only Get One Combo | I had some trouble understanding how to play it (despite the instructions), but the pixel graphics and animations are very very well done. Overall could use another layer of polish and maybe some more content (if only there was enough time, eh? :) ). |
| Dec 19 23:21:00 | 6m 00s | Sophie's World | Very contemplative. Very cute :). A little bit dull and easy on the gameplay side, but at least there was a nice track of music to listen to! |
| Dec 19 23:26:00 | 5m 00s | Duck Kid's Quest | Well.. It certainly got me curious for more! What about the world? Where did the wizard come from? What are the evils we must defeat? HOW COULD HE LEAVE THE ROOM WITHOUT THE DUCK!!?

Ah, well, I guess I'll have to wait for part 2... |
| Dec 19 23:31:00 | 5m 00s | lights out | Neat game! Have you tried ours? It's got some very similar concepts, you'll see what I mean ;).

Once I read your instructions everything was clear, I wish there was sound though, and your ally got stuck a lot on walls so I had to escort him, which is a bit frustrating. But overall a great little game! |
| Dec 20 13:46:00 | 14h 15m | One Arrow | Astounding visuals and tight controls. The gameplay gets a bit repetitive since there is no kind of progression and there were some bugs (enemies clipped through walls, my arrow got stuck in a place I couldn't reach), but it is one of the best entries I've seen. |
| Dec 20 14:03:00 | 17m 00s | GRAIL | Excellent! Probably the best entry I played so far, it reminds me of the old Prince of Persia games, and I'm really glad I actually finished it :) You have a typo right at the end 'timtes' should be 'times', right? I think, under the rules, you are allowed to fix it. |
| Dec 20 14:58:00 | 55m 00s | Ultimate Wish | Short and sweet -- great graphics and good concept. There were a few bugs here and there and I couldn't tell whether you could control the strength of the throw as well as the direction. |
| Dec 20 15:33:00 | 35m 00s | Miss Red | Really liked the lighting system, dynamic shadows and smoke -- do you do the lighting by additively rendering the lightmaps onto a frame buffer and multiplying it with the scene? Or is it all done in a fragment shader? Gameplay was quite fun as well, but lacked a bit in diversity; I was still tricked into playing all the levels though :) |
| Dec 20 15:53:00 | 20m 00s | Pillage Rush | Great fun, I love your take on platforming and the tongue in cheek theme. A bit too difficult for me, but certainly enjoyable -- maybe an item you could pick at some point that allows you to dump one girl? The graphics and controls are this game's strongest points. |
| Dec 20 16:03:00 | 10m 00s | Make Tetrominoes! | I like the concept, and the sounds are great. But the difficulty doesn't increase; if you fill each quarter with one colour, you can continue indefinitely. If you introduce more colours, or larger shapes, so that the difficulty increases. And maybe an end-of-game when you cannot make the current target with the space available (or when the entire board is full might be easier) |
| Dec 20 16:14:00 | 11m 00s | Ballkeeper | Great entry! My girlfriend would like a fully featured version of this if you develop it further :P |
| Dec 20 16:35:00 | 21m 00s | Stabby Slimes | This is very difficult! The only thing saving you is luck essentially, since the monsters hit at the fastest speed you can hit. Maybe make the monsters hit slower than you and maybe turn slower? That way you could "flank" them and at least have some tactic to killing them. Glad to hear some proper sound effect though! |
| Dec 20 16:40:00 | 5m 00s | Planet LD-28 | Haha, I thought having one frame per second would be a terrible idea but it turned out ok! It felt like I was remote controlling the robot from a far away location and therefore had only limited data (hence the 1 FPS). Overall a cool concept! |
| Dec 20 16:45:00 | 5m 00s | Cable | Very glitchy controls unfortunately :(, couldn't manage to jump while on the stairs. If the technical stuff would've been ironed out it could've been a great fun game! Very original concept! |
| Dec 20 16:47:00 | 2m 00s | The Trials of Chad | Really fun! The progression makes what could be just a simple platformer into much more. And I like that death may easily be the most useful thing to do. A bit on the easy side, however, particularly since there are so many coins around. |
| Dec 20 16:51:00 | 4m 00s | The Wizard's Quest | This was fun :D. Not very captivating, but mindless fun none the less! Double hat ftw! |
| Dec 20 16:54:00 | 3m 00s | Apocalypse | It got crazy hard pretty quick but I enjoyed the first few levels! :D It was a bit touch on my index finger as I had to click furiously to kill some waves, but other than than it was well executed! |
| Dec 20 16:58:00 | 4m 00s | You only get one arrow | Had to read the comments to figure out what to do (tell people you need to find the arrow first!!). But once I did I actually had a lot of fun! I like that the arrow shoots in an arc (as it should) and the level designs were clever, reminding you that there are things that you can reach later on in the game. Well done! |
| Dec 20 17:00:00 | 2m 00s | Braid 2 | 10/10 What magicdweedo has managed seemed impossible: five years after the original, we yet again questioned what makes a game protagonist and what constitutes a gaming experience. Can games be art? We believe this work conclusively answers this question once and for all. |
| Dec 20 17:03:00 | 3m 00s | GetYouSoulBack | That was a really cool idea! Very hard to figure out where to go though, maybe a map would've been useful. |
| Dec 20 17:05:00 | 2m 00s | One Eye | Tough but enjoyable, a solid entry. Big fan of the death animation, we went for a similar gory mess when our player fails, but I think yours is more effective since it's coupled with the phobia people have of getting sharp things in their eyes. |
| Dec 20 17:08:00 | 3m 00s | Where's my Present? | Yay! That was an excellent puzzle! Simple but very well thought out! The hand drawn graphics add a lot of atmosphere as well! Sound could've been better if I have any criticism, maybe some christmas mood music and less annoying Success/Fail buzzer sounds. |
| Dec 20 17:12:00 | 4m 00s | Peaceful Greeting | Interesting concept. Not highly challenging, I think I said "yes", "peace" and "yes", which I could probably have figured out without reading the alien's messages. I thought it was an interesting choice to have your mother's letter pop up using the up arrow, but you have to walk back and forth to see the dictionary. Some of the compound words are interesting- I'm unsure of the difference between a yes-planet and a someone-planet. But I always find it interesting playing with limited-word languages. Language is always hard to program, so you've taken on quite a challenge here. |
| Dec 20 17:47:00 | 35m 00s | SHIFTER | Shifter didn't like this game. Of course he wasn't jealous or insecure about his entry. Do you doubt his story?

Loved the whole thing, watched Jellycakes play it so the story was a bit spoiled, but was still enjoyable :) |
| Dec 20 18:24:00 | 37m 00s | You Only Get One: TOWER DEFENSE | Fun take on tower defense, certainly one of the stronger entries. More content would've been enjoyable: particularly more upgrades. |
| Dec 20 23:35:00 | 5h 11m | That One Load | Actually really fun! A bit short (that's what she said!)

But seriously, she might need to get herself checked out, I'm pretty sure those... lumps.. aren't supposed to be there. ;) |
| Dec 20 23:41:00 | 6m 00s | Robo Juicestice | That was really cool! Even though unfinished it's still one of the best games on the Jam! Excellent art, fluid and really fun controls and brilliant sound/music. Get this one finished! |
| Dec 20 23:47:00 | 6m 00s | Only One: A Gentleman's Game | Well I say! That was quite amusing good sir. A fine piece of art, if only a little infantile. Yet, these boyish divertissment are good for the juveniles among us!

(Nice job ;)) |
| Dec 20 23:53:00 | 6m 00s | You Only Get One Chance | While I commend your commitment to the theme it's a bit sad that I can't play it again, I certainly would've wanted to. Maybe you should make any time you play the game after your first you play as the ghost of yourself? (Credit goes to another LD28 game I've seen before but can't remember the name of) |
| Dec 20 23:55:00 | 2m 00s | Do not get shot | Sooo hard!! But I had fun :D. You should try one of those music generators to get a background track going! |
| Dec 20 23:59:00 | 4m 00s | Tesla Defender | It's a little bit buggy, but overall it's an impressive entry! Nice work with the models and animations, I particularly liked the zombie walk animation! |
| Dec 21 00:04:00 | 5m 00s | One Minuite to Live! | It's not bad, but there mouse control was hard to manage and honestly I had no idea what I was supposed to protect or from where the zombies were going to come the first time around. Still, a tower defence survival with zombies always work! |
| Dec 21 11:58:00 | 11h 54m | Touch | Very serene, very meditative and a great message. Love the mess of paths you see towards the end, it's art in some way!

Feedback: The controls felt a bit erratic at certain zoom levels, e.g. too fast and jittery at close zoom and too sluggish and hard to control at far zoom, maybe make movement dynamic?

The music was great, but I missed some sound effects aside from the music, mainly of course when you touch other orbs.

The background could have a tiny bit of texture, or some particle effect to give you a point of reference when moving, felt a bit disorienting at times.

All this feedback is just so that you can continue working and make an ever better game! Overall, this was one of the best entries I've played! |
| Dec 21 16:22:00 | 4h 24m | Leap of Faith | I like the idea of distilling a 3D platformer to the its core elements, but it could've done with a bit more diversity. I still enjoyed quite a bit, certainly enough to finish it -- loved the ending by the way :) |
| Dec 21 16:37:00 | 15m 00s | Aperalim | The puzzle mechanic was quite innovative and enjoyable, but pushing figures was a bit clumsy and frustrating (also I didn't realise I could do that initially). The game would have benefitted from more of a learning curve with a handful of simple levels that teach you the basic concepts to start with. But certainly one of the better puzzle games I played and it did keep me playing for 10 minutes or so. High marks on innovation for sure! |
| Dec 21 17:25:00 | 48m 00s | One Breath | That was really addictive! I only stopped when things started to cost over 1200 each and it got a little repetitive. Despite the hard to learn controls and somewhat buggy gameplay, it was a lot of fun! |
| Dec 21 18:02:00 | 37m 00s | The Chipper | Very nice use of sound! Finally someone who doesn't neglect it! A bit buggy unfortunately, but I liked the Right-click control scheme. Worked quite well! |
| Dec 21 18:10:00 | 8m 00s | Midnight Minigun | Haha, that was awesome! Took me a while before I figured out not everything that moved was a zombie.... :D Oh well, I guess a bit of collateral damage is expected when the zombie apocalypse is nigh! The machine gun is perfectly tuned! |
| Dec 21 18:47:00 | 37m 00s | Don't Lose It! | Thanks for bringing me to this game! I loved it! I can totally see what you meant with how the idea is similar to ours :). I loved the ending, totally went "aaaaaaaw" loudly when I saw it :).

One suggestion: make more enemies! It was a tad bit too easy. |
| Dec 21 22:09:00 | 3h 22m | Abe: Candlehunter! | I like the puzzle platformer stuff, but a bit too hard for me -- that's very possibly just my general suckiness in platformers. |
| Dec 21 22:33:00 | 24m 00s | Christmas Puzzle Nightmare | Very addictive, couldn't put it down till I finished it: the chain reactions made it very satisfying; I would by the crap out of it on mobile. (with a more immersive background :P) |
| Dec 21 22:48:00 | 15m 00s | COR | I enjoy the controls and the non-obviously branching paths, but I found the story a bit cliche and a bit pretentious, particularly since in the credits there's a long explanation on what the game is supposed to be about; shouldn't we, the player, be the judge of that? Might just be me. An open-ended interpretation may have served this game better. |
| Dec 23 12:42:00 | 37h 54m | EVA : You only get one... | Interesting concept, would've been fun if it were a bit longer. I enjoyed the banter between the two characters and the music gag :)

BTW, thanks for your feedback and I added arrow keys to our game if you feel trying it again. Didn't think of AZERTY people, my bad. |
| Dec 23 22:36:00 | 9h 54m | Choose Wisely | I enjoyed the pets although I didn't quite see the gameplay reason for them; on the other hand I only played the first 7 levels. You could definitely add more content and turn this into a pretty good mobile game. |
| Dec 23 23:15:00 | 39m 00s | Channel | Can you actually win this? I played for about 100 hits, curious about the next items, but gave up after that... |
| Dec 23 23:31:00 | 16m 00s | Warp Runner | Really liked the graphics style; I think that runners should feel a bit more fast paced though -- the downside to hitting a barrier didn't feel like enough of a disincentive. |
| Dec 23 23:44:00 | 13m 00s | System Control | I enjoyed it for the first minute but then it gets very easy once you get the hang of it and it is, by its nature, very repetitive. More diversity and an increasing level of difficulty could make this into a pretty darn good mobile game -- also the heartbeat could be in sync with a song you choose; but that's just me. |
| Dec 24 00:35:00 | 51m 00s | Natural Sheep Care | Really unique concept, great graphics and music; this is one of the best entries I've played. There is some lack of diversity which harms the gameplay after a while, I think if there were more levels or content of any kind, it would make it better over time. |
| Dec 24 13:13:00 | 12h 38m | Tough | Excellent take on the theme and the 'one life' trope, this kind of game is precisely the sort of thing that can only be explored in a Ludum Dare and not in mainstream games. I love it because of this. |
| Dec 24 13:17:00 | 4m 00s | Only one Cookie | Simple concept, but surprisingly addictive. The art is really nice :)

This weirdly reminds me of the strip dancing minigame in GTA V. |
| Dec 24 13:34:00 | 17m 00s | The oil eater | Fun game and I like that it ends rather than going on forever like many of these runners do. More gameplay diversity would be nice. |
| Dec 24 23:29:00 | 9h 55m | Protoport | Really cool concept and very well executed; my only problem with was the very steep learning curve -- maybe I just suck at runners though :/ |
| Dec 24 23:34:00 | 5m 00s | Snowball Carnage | Who cares about gameplay, look at those SCARVES! :P But no really, quite fun. |
| Dec 24 23:58:00 | 24m 00s | The Hotdog Parable | The only LD sim game I actually played all the way through and beat, so that's saying something. Didn't really expect all of the moon stuff, it was really surprising and fun in a very quirky way. Very good game, great job, guys! |
| Dec 25 19:10:00 | 19h 12m | Lost in Space | The concept is really good and I'm a massive sucker for Elite-style games; too bad you didn't get to finish it, maybe do a postcompo? |
| Dec 25 19:13:00 | 3m 00s | Fucking Run | It looks like a really good start; I guess it took quite a bit to write the things that people get for free if they use Unity or the like; next time you should be able to do those to do a finished game :) |
| Dec 25 19:27:00 | 14m 00s | YOGOS - YouOnlyHaveOneShield | It was pretty fun, but a bit too easy; I just stopped playing at about 26384 score. Might've benefit from ending, instead of being infinite -- some sort of final boss. The other problem were FPS drops randomly; I don't see anyone else commenting so maybe it's may machine acting out.
At any rate, an enjoyable play. |
| Dec 25 19:30:00 | 3m 00s | lambda | Has some balancing issues; very hard to kill enemies without them getting at least one hit. A bit more variety would be nice as well. Still a fun wave shooter. |
| Dec 25 19:41:00 | 11m 00s | One Sword To Escape | The controls are bit inexact, specifically jumping; but it's still a fun enough platformer. |
| Dec 25 19:49:00 | 8m 00s | A Precious Arrow | Waay too difficult for me; but still very fun. Couldn't get to this cyclops people keep talking about :) |
| Dec 31 00:03:00 | 124h 14m | One Cigarette | I really enjoyed the game, particularly the mood. I did try it many times, but was not able to kill everyone, just kept missing with the hammer after running out of bullets. Really curious to see the ending, but retries are a bit painful due to inability to skip dialogue. |
| Dec 31 00:08:00 | 5m 00s | Iron Chef Dorm | Short, simple and fun. I'd have enjoyed more diverse challenges. |
| Dec 31 00:15:00 | 7m 00s | Food Survival | It was a fun runner overall, but it suffered from a lack of diversity and was hampered a bit by the 3D effect which made it very hard to judge what objects I was going to collide with (including coins) and which ones I wouldn't. I also found it a bit too easy. But again, overall, a well polished entry. |
| Jan 2 17:19:00 | 65h 04m | YOGO RocketFist | An excellent, amazingly polished entry: played all the way to the end and gave top marks on fun and graphics. My experience was only a bit hindered by some bugs here and there: enemies shooting me from the outside, the fist clipping under roofs etc. but nothing gamebreaking.

A minor fix you could still do under the rules, I'm sure, is to make sure that mouse & keyboard release events get propagated to the canvas even when the mouse is hovering outside: I was stuck going down, or my fist was stuck flying quite a few times because of this.

Again: great entry! I would play the crap out of a full version of this on my phone :) |
