Apr 23 17:44:00 Save Me Good fun, I liked the central mechanic and found it quite addictive. Got a bit samey after a while but can see good potential for extra stages, etc.
Apr 23 17:51:00 7m 00s survive the world Looks and sounds fantastic, but not much to the gameplay and it gets very hard very quickly!
Apr 23 17:58:00 7m 00s Humphrey's Tiny Adventure Great stuff, really enjoyed it! That poor penguin ;_;
Apr 23 18:10:00 12m 00s On Another Scale The music and the weird dreamy colours create a dream-like mood that I really enjoyed. <br/> <br/>Not sure it was a great fit for the theme, though, and the growing/shrinking was perhaps a bit underplayed.
Apr 23 18:22:00 12m 00s Lost Lapootah Not sure where to start with this... why does a blob leave footprints? Where do those doors go? <br/> <br/>Fun though, in a slightly odd way. Liked the story. <br/> <br/>PS I also got the Chrome "appears malicious" message, just expand the menu and choose "keep" instead of "discard". <br/> <br/>*awaits computer-crippling trojan infestation*
Apr 23 18:32:00 10m 00s Cereal Killer Wow, this is pretty hardcore! Too hardcore for me, I fear - love the intro and the graphic style though, great fun but ferociously difficult.
Apr 24 17:25:00 22h 53m Tiny Tim's Race World Simple but fun, seeing other players' data is a great motivator for one more go to try and get a bit further!
Apr 24 17:38:00 13m 00s Mayor vs Aliens Really enjoyed this, great idea well executed. <br/> <br/>Plus, any game where you wear a stovepipe hat gets extra votes from me... especially one that shoots rockets!
Apr 24 18:00:00 22m 00s Jetpack Pixel Slickly done. The lights gradually coming on at night is a great little touch. Super-annoying music though :)
Apr 24 19:06:00 1h 06m Tinius Worldifica Seriously impressive amount of content for a 48 hour game! Enjoyed getting all 75 coins, nice atmospheric music too. <br/> <br/>There was a bug though - when I got to the end and pressed B for the bonus level, I couldn't progress through the bonus level because pressing space to interact with anything took me back to the end of game screen... other than that, good job!
Apr 24 19:13:00 7m 00s My (Tiny) World Couldn't run it because my graphics card doesn't support the XNA HiDef profile. You should set your build to the more compatible graphics mode unless it uses custom shaders etc.
Apr 24 19:23:00 10m 00s Tiny Apocalypse Hmm, not sure it was working properly... when I got outside I was moving very slowly, and backwards? Is that meant to happen? <br/> <br/>Then on restarting the background didn't display, it was all just black. <br/> <br/>What I saw of it looked interesting though! Liked the idea :)
Apr 24 19:48:00 25m 00s I want to turn the heater on Hands down the most abstract game I've seen yet this compo! I enjoyed it because it was so different, but got annoyed and quit before the end. I did feel like I was making progress more through luck than judgement.
Apr 24 19:54:00 6m 00s Of Mice And Giants Stylish little game and quite moreish. Liked the music, great title too.
Apr 24 20:02:00 8m 00s My Little Friends I love the way the breakdown of your scores for the day reads like the robot's diary. I think this robot has some issues! Fun game.
Apr 25 15:46:00 19h 44m Aquarium Adventure Nice idea. Was a bit hard to navigate with all the bubbles, but I completed the quest and liked the dialogue.
Apr 25 15:52:00 6m 00s Circus Flea Loved it! Great graphics, great sound, great sense of humour... and like all flea circuses most of the detail takes place in the audience's mind! Great little game all round.
Apr 25 15:58:00 6m 00s Tiny Artillery Good way to fit the theme but could have used a way to go back if you select the wrong weapon - I picked the bat when the opponent was on another planet so wasted a turn.
Apr 25 16:08:00 10m 00s Tiny Garden of Hope Really liked the music and the mood, and the robot's little comments: "Good thing I have plenty of spacebars", heh :) <br/> <br/>Might have worked a bit better with keyboard controls for everything, especially walking. But that's only a minor thing. Enjoyed this.
Apr 25 16:19:00 11m 00s Space Jumper 34MB?! Not sure how it ended up so big, but... <br/> <br/>Not a bad little game. Some of the ideas, like the planet with the moon, were quite original.
Apr 25 16:23:00 4m 00s Seeds Of Destruction I'm not the biggest fan of this type of game TBH, but seems pretty well done and an interesting take on the genre.
Apr 25 16:32:00 9m 00s Tiny World Adventure That was really fun, especially if it was your first project in a new language - it's one of the better platformers I've played in this compo! The graphics have a lot of character to them and the physics feel just right.
Apr 25 16:41:00 9m 00s Junior's Car That's a fun art style right there. I managed to break out of the track and drive around on the desk at one point, but also managed to get a clean lap near the end. <br/> <br/>Bonus points for the philosophy books on the desk :)
Apr 25 16:49:00 8m 00s Path O' Invasion Wasn't entirely sure what was going on, TBH, but lol'd at the level win screen :)
Apr 25 16:57:00 8m 00s In Delusion Wow, that was twisted... I liked it! <br/> <br/>Loved the dark mood, but for some reason I laughed at the whole "anyway fetch me my hammer and nails so we can build this doghouse" business. <br/> <br/>Really quite disturbing, in a good way.
Apr 25 17:07:00 10m 00s Tiny Archaeologist Argh, somebody kill that accordion player ;) <br/> <br/>Music aside, reminds me a bit of the Platformance games, I like the concept of seeing the whole map at once.
Apr 25 17:18:00 11m 00s WTF World Nice 8bit vibe - some interesting possibilities in the separate control of the screen
Apr 25 18:26:00 1h 08m Affinity World Really good concept, enjoyed the main game mechanic and the script - plus a lot of content for a 48hr game! Questing in the forest was funny :) <br/> <br/>I for one would love to play a longer game based around this friendship mechanic, hope you develop it some more.
Apr 25 18:55:00 29m 00s I Will Burn The Earth Down For You That was fun! Gave up trying to catch the enemy in the end, but only after the whole world was ablaze. Good concept, pretty flippin' impressive for 4 hours' work.
Apr 25 19:09:00 14m 00s Pro Stew Chugger Seemed a bit buggy to me, my little guy was flickering about quite a bit - was playable though. <br/> <br/>Good to see another LD game support the 360 pad. So much classier than keys :)
Apr 25 19:14:00 5m 00s Arnold Bros (est. 1905) Wouldn't run for me, I launch it and get "Arnoldbros.exe has stopped working. Windows is searching for a solution to this problem" (Win7 64bit) <br/> <br/>Shame, liked the look of this :(
Apr 27 15:31:00 44h 17m iblic - I've been looking for ice cream I liked the odd sense of humour to this one, particularly the international cat. The solution to that last level took some figuring out as well, although maybe that was just me being slow...
Apr 27 15:43:00 12m 00s Restless Island Quite an interesting set-up for a platformer with the mechanic of falling down between islands. Also seeing the bullets' flight paths is an interesting touch. Got much easier when I figured out you can wall-jump!
Apr 30 09:42:00 65h 59m Magniverse Love that graphics style, but not a fan of the control scheme - would have preferred to be able to move using the keyboard. <br/> <br/>Also felt there wasn't much risk involved when returning to the home planet fully restores health as many times as you like. <br/> <br/>Some good ideas here though, and very stylish to look at.
Apr 30 17:56:00 8h 14m Attention Um, what the hell's a ".love" file? Sorry, can't begin to figure out how to get that working.
Apr 30 17:57:00 1m 00s Galactic Taxi Sorry, no Linux so couldn't rate.
Apr 30 18:04:00 7m 00s Snowglobe Once I got over the shock of a Christmas game in April (!) this was very enjoyable. Liked the concept of time running out when the last snowflake settles.
Apr 30 18:12:00 8m 00s Little Sheep Nice atmosphere in this! As others have said, something very restful about it.
Apr 30 18:25:00 13m 00s Invaders From Space Superb look and feel, very addictive gameplay - top job! <br/> <br/>My only complaint is it's a bit hard - haven't been able to beat it yet. <br/> <br/>But even having rated it I will probably come back and have another go!
Apr 30 18:31:00 6m 00s Before The Big Bang This could really do with some instructions or a tutorial, I couldn't figure out how it worked or what I was meant to be doing...
Apr 30 18:36:00 5m 00s Tiny World Destruction Giant robot! Laser eyes! What's not to like!
Apr 30 18:43:00 7m 00s Bill in BSODia A few more enemies wouldn't have gone amiss but liked the idea, and the intro was good fun.
Apr 30 20:30:00 1h 47m Science 101 - The Sewer Chronicles Can't run this, as my graphics card isn't compatible with the HiDef profile in XNA. Second game this compo that I've had that problem with. As an XNA user myself, I would strongly recommend setting your build to the more compatible graphics mode, as it will still do pretty much everything you need to do in a 2D game but will work with onboard gfx chips, which the HiDef profile doesn't.
Apr 30 20:49:00 19m 00s Rush Hour Very enjoyable, I liked the upgrade system (though speed didn't seem like much of an upgrade as it seemed to make it harder!) Can't see any connection to the theme so loses marks for that, but still a good fun game.
Apr 30 20:52:00 3m 00s Incredible Impact Heh, "very short" is right! Could be a fun game idea, but not sure that even qualifies as a prototype really... I laughed though so points for humour!
Apr 30 21:20:00 28m 00s Untitled, So Far Oh great, I just played this before bed and now I'm going to have the most unsettling dreams of my life ;) <br/> <br/>Fantastically creepy atmosphere, and I really liked the rough art style, particularly in the house with all the faces. I kind of feel like I've intruded into your subconscious... which I imagine is the effect you were going for. Nicely done.
Apr 30 21:22:00 2m 00s Oh No, Tiny Rover! Yeah, the Windows archive only contains Mac files. Can't play it unless you reupload. :(
Apr 30 21:26:00 4m 00s Intersection Um... didn't really get what was going on. Could have done with clearer instructions, just kept moving things around until I got a "fail" message. <br/> <br/>Certainly different though :)
Apr 30 21:43:00 17m 00s Gale Axile Liked the ZX Spectrum look and feel to this! Also the fact that there was a tutorial, which was very handy for your unique game mechanic.
Apr 30 22:11:00 28m 00s Teeming Played this to completion, really enjoyed it! <br/> <br/>I must admit, when I first saw the theme one of my earliest thoughts was "petri dish" but couldn't figure out a workable game mechanic, so I enjoyed seeing your take on it! <br/> <br/>This would make a great touchscreen game for phones or tablets, I think. Great work.
Apr 30 22:30:00 19m 00s Tiny Adventures In SPACE I liked the ending!
Apr 30 22:38:00 8m 00s Fooling Yourself in Moderation Interesting idea and a nice atmosphere to it.
Apr 30 22:45:00 7m 00s Wirepair Nice concept, enjoyed the music &amp; could see it being fleshed out into something quite hypnotic with a bit more work.
Apr 30 23:01:00 16m 00s The Cube Realms Not bad! I made it to the end (well, onto map 3 which seems kind of empty!) <br/> <br/>For those experiencing problems, it's definitely a Java version issue: I had the same error, then upgraded to Java 7 and it worked.
Apr 30 23:11:00 10m 00s So You Want to Create a Game Heh, very meta! :)
May 2 19:01:00 43h 50m Alien Punch! Nice use of physics, and loved the whole tiny Solar System thing going on there. Fun game too, although there was a bit of a way to "cheat" it and once I found that I didn't really play it properly...
May 2 19:17:00 16m 00s Around the World in 80 Seconds (or less) Nicely made! Seems a good engine to build on, not too much in the way of gameplay as it stands - couldn't figure out what if anything to do to affect how quickly the car made it around the planet, but still smooth and fun (played on Windows 7 64bit). Would be good fun with a few stunts, jumps etc :)
May 2 19:51:00 34m 00s It's a tiny world Thoroughly enjoyed that, from figuring out which enemies were safe to attack at each level to finding the safest path through the melee. Got a bit carried away and got up to level 30 before taking on the boss. Great job!
May 2 20:08:00 17m 00s Planetship Really interesting concept and impressive work for 48hrs! Very stylish, very atmospheric, didn't entirely fathom what I was doing (sending off the thorium probes and away teams didn't seem to really do anything?) but thoroughly enjoyed pootling about the universe. Hope you continue working on this post-contest, it's got real potential.
May 2 20:17:00 9m 00s Nom Nom Planet Pretty fun stuff. Damn those hungry aliens. Damn their eyes!
May 3 11:27:00 15h 10m Mini-Worlds and Monocles I say old bean, frightful business with the Convenient Plot Device, what? Spiffing job though, old man. Capital.
May 3 11:41:00 14m 00s Microscopia What a great idea for a game mechanic. Really enjoyed this, and one of the most original takes on the theme I've seen so far. Good stuff!
May 3 11:49:00 8m 00s caveman defending his cave from aliens while monoliths drop down from the sky Quite fun, took me a while to figure out that aliens getting to the cave would kill me but nice idea.
May 3 12:24:00 35m 00s Stupid Ants Nice game, neat idea! But needed a MUCH longer time limit, or maybe an infinite mode. I would have liked to have spent more time with it.
May 3 12:29:00 5m 00s Colours in the Void I'm a sucker for little abstract boxes, so I enjoyed this a lot even though I had to use a laptop trackpad to play it (which is never ideal!)
May 3 12:33:00 4m 00s Nasty Bubbly - 72 Hour JAM Entry Really good fun. I own fish so can relate to the food -&gt; hyperactivity -&gt; poo cycle :)
May 3 13:22:00 49m 00s Tiny Timmy and Big Bill Top marks across the board. Your game, sirs, is awesome. Want more!
May 3 15:35:00 2h 13m TINY COMPUTER PEOPLE That was fun! Nice concept and some neat little touches for the nerds (the "pipeline" made me smile). <br/> <br/>Was a bit confused by the red / green dots on buildings though, it seemed like you needed to turn things green to stop people working on them?
May 3 19:32:00 3h 57m Tiny Monk Interesting combination of game mechanics at work here!
May 7 16:31:00 92h 59m The Lair Enjoyed the boss fight - wasn't expecting him to start talking to me!
May 7 16:36:00 5m 00s A Drop of Water I laughed at the "ending" :D
May 7 17:06:00 30m 00s Away from Home Some interesting stuff going on here and it was interesting to get the shrinker machine up and running. Personally I would have preferred the planet shrinker to be working from the start so you could shrink each planet after you beat its "normal" version, but still. Quite a lot of content here!
May 7 17:13:00 7m 00s Honey Heist This was a fun game, the time limits were a bit tight though. Not sure it really needed a time limit at all, might have been more fun without.
May 7 17:18:00 5m 00s Omni-Illusion Gfx not really to my tastes, but the game seems quite fun.
May 7 17:23:00 5m 00s Defender Pretty basic but good fun and works well.
May 7 17:28:00 5m 00s Globe Argh, not another XNA game that won't run on my laptop because it's been compiled using the HiDef graphics profile :( Seriously, that's about 5 now this compo. XNA devs, please, PLEASE, use compatibility mode when compiling. There's like a 99% chance that LD games aren't using anything from the HiDef framework anyway, so it's just incompatibility for no gain.
