| We Control the Purple Creature | Very cool. It'd be nice if there was some sort of level structure, and if the difficulty advanced. Once I got the hang of it, it was pretty easy -- and nothing changed after that. Nice effects, by the way; the organic pixels work really well. | ||
| DoomCake | Nom nom nom. Best sound effect ever. | ||
| The Triumph of Time | My only problem is the right-click-to-move-to business. And really, if that's my only problem you must be doing something right. <br/> <br/>Way right. | ||
| Standard Waiver | Really nice atmosphere (breathing! perfect...) and graphics. Controls are fine, everything -- I was a little confused about what to do, but really I feel like that added to the effect. It definitely got tenser as things went on; perfect job of building up excitement and sucking me into the world. Creepy, somehow. Surprisingly so. | ||
| Extinguish | Easy, and short, but excellent. Fun! | ||
| Title Unknown | Hard, but (as you say) quite fun for a while. Not to mention the zomg 48 hour portal effect. Extremely unforgiving, though. | ||
| Wall Defence | Nothing more to say; mjau said it all. Fun! Hard to balance building/not building walls, but all part of the joy, I suppose. | ||
| Too Heavy For Re-Entry | The idea of this appeals to me somehow. It's like a rail shooter, only you want to run into things and damage yourself. Within reason. Damage within reason. <br/> <br/>Also, for 8 hours (as you say) this is graphically pretty sweet. | ||
| Fleedom Flies | Those high scores wouldn't have been nearly so addicting if you didn't have 'em attached to a solid game. Very nice, loved it, played over and over again, first to complete, then to chase the score. | ||
| YOU GOT A DEMONWALL! | Delightfully odd indeed. Just pulling off those graphics, and making me happy looking at them (also, not having seizure!) is enough to merit some serious credit. | ||
| arcticum | Took a little while to figure out what I was supposed to do. Once I'd collected all four pieces of civilization (?), I was told "Error! in love_opengl::rectangle" -- which was something of a let-down. <br/> <br/>Cool, if slightly confusing, concept though. | ||
| Hill Climber: Extreme Edition | I adore this. I adore that it's in curses. I adore that I can play it over SSH. I adore the fact that it's short, and sweet, and silly. <br/> <br/>I'm giving you a ridiculously high graphics score, just because. | ||
| Uber Unmanned Wheelchair Deluxe | Sound error dialog is kind of annoying, but not a game-breaker. Incredibly difficult, though. <br/> <br/>Major criticism? That pink color is hell. Like, if hell were a color. <br/> <br/>"Hey hon, what'dya call this color, fuchsia?" <br/> <br/>"No, dear, I call it hell." <br/> <br/>"Oh. Well, how do you think it'd work in the kitchen?" <br/> <br/>And so on... | ||
| Laser of Doom | Can't run, and I have python/pygame/pyglet installed. Can you py2exe it? | ||
| Heart | Loved the style, except for the text screens. Somehow those just jarred me out of an otherwise visually perfect experience. | ||
| AWOD | Controls seemed ok to me. Got way difficult way fast, but I was running around, trying to corral that wall! | ||
| doomdoom | I can't jump high enough to reach the next block. Which is frustrating. Of course, the fact that I'm frustrated is sort of a good sign -- I want to get up onto that next block! | ||
| Wally the Wall | When I loaded this I thought: argh, snake. But then it wasn't, not really. Instead, it was cute, and fun for a while. My biggest complaint is the incredibly long delay between ticks... | ||
| Title Unknown | Nice graphics, nice music (though again, I'm not going to factor that into the rating. Rules is rules). Controls felt a tad wonky, but that's probably just me -- I'm picky about how gravity should work in platformers. Nicely polished entry. | ||
| [Wall Girl] | Plays just fine, here -- and looks great! Biggest complaint: either I'm really bad at shmups (possible, likely) or this is really fscking hard. <br/> <br/>Can't get past Act 2. Still, a very solid shmup, here...I'm impressed. Why are these flying monks attacking me, though? <br/> <br/>Edit: Gargh! No reset button? But I die _all_of_the_time! | ||
| Advance 2 – Aftermath | Brilliant pixel graphics, great atmosphere. I disagree with 0rel -- the title screen detracted somehow. But really, who would notice? | ||
| Soverign Wars | The underlying concept (the way you've done territory control) here is really cool. A visual overhaul, better UI, and smarter AI would make this into quite a good, novel game. | ||
| Humpty Doompty! | Intentionally jerky controls always bother me -- why take control away from the player? -- but other than that, this was surprisingly fun. Go go programmer art! Run! No, not off the edge! | ||
| Escape From Hell | I agree with eugman; some sort of progress indicator, and jumping with the up arrow would both improve this enormously. |
