| Rara Racer | Absolutely brilliant. Seriously. | ||
| ‘0xF0’ | I've played worse commercial games than this. Several, actually. In two days? I almost don't believe it.

Brilliant. If you don't win this thing, I'll eat my hat.
| all roads lead from home | Surprisingly fun indeed -- I think the balance between game modes (hidden path w/out punishment in the caves, visible path w/ outside) did a lot to keep it from becoming monotonous. Maybe add other level types?

Also, the sound effect for when you leave the road made me jump clean out of my chair the first time I heard it.
| Roads to Nowhere | Quite nice. A little more reward for completing roads would be cool. | ||
| Bullrushes | Damned fireflies just won't _obey_. Also, it would be nice if clicking on a bullrush gave a little more feedback -- it's hard to tell if I've successfully lit it up, or not.

Or maybe I didn't, and that's why the fireflies decided to go off and do their own thing.

Still, pleasantly artistic.
| And it’s a wrap… I guess | This is...surprisingly good. Like classic GTA, only as played by the Gibson mainframe in Hackers. Maybe it's just me, but I can't finish Level 5 -- but I spent like 10 minutes trying, which ought to tell you something. | ||
| Puzzle Road! | Nice, surprisingly polished game. Like has been said, needs some tweaking to keep players from just throwing away curved roads, though it took me a good couple of minutes to figure that trick out. Fun!

> On Windows, it opens a useless console window when you run the game

Use rubyscript2exe --rubyscript2exe-rubyw <file.rb> and it won't do this. Took me ages to figure that out.
| Lucid State Dreaming | Very, very nice. More art than game, perhaps -- and the visual style was dead perfect. Also, great audio. Simple, but great. | ||
| Two Roads | Yay. End of Comment. | ||
| Frog Rescue | Kind of a cool mechanic, though it took me a couple of tries to figure out that the map was larger than one screen. Serves me right for not reading the README. | ||
| Final “Crossroads” | Nice concept, and a pretty slick implementation. Could really benefit from some music, though. | ||
| Roads of Dare 1.0 | Hooray, boardgame! Lots of polish, lots of shininess. I'm not sure if there's any strategy other than simply choosing the highest card, but still fun, somehow. | ||
| Buffalo Road LD13 | I like the looping mechanic -- reminds me of Jezzball and such, only more interesting.

I'd improve the graphics a bit, maybe make the buffalos a little more intelligent (read: evil), and record some better audio. Probably not in that order (grin).
| Emergency Bypass | I agree with shrt -- this is a pretty good proof-of-concept level prototype. In terms of both graphics and audio I think this is one of the more appealing LD13 projects; it's just a shame that you weren't able to finish. | ||
| Pot Holes! | High score 608 on Level 5, but the potholes multiplied so fast at the end that the entire road was wrecked! And yet, I kept trying. This says something. Audio would have been nice, maybe honking horns when cars drive over potholes, or random people yelling "Hey, buddy!" and "Move it!" So much potential there.

Fun! | ||
| CoMuTor | I agree with Gilvado; a little score tweaking and some game scaffolding (levels?) would turn this from an amusing demo into a fun little game. | ||
| :: RoadZ :: A bucketful of nostalgia | Really, really unforgiving -- and those time limits are a killer. 5 minutes of trying and I couldn't beat the first level!

And yeah, this really needs to be distributed via floppy disk for the full effect, I think.
| The game | I really, really like the game you almost made. The inlined tutorials, the minimalist platformer -- all very cool. A little on the difficult side, though.

Even past level 3 the 'roads' theme is a bit of a stretch. Still, neat idea.
| I has FAIL! | Gargh! I couldn't hear your audio (on Vista 32). Potential, indeed -- and I really like the idea of having to survey before you build. Wish RRT* had that, actually.

Also, you deserve accolades and similar whatnots for trying to build a business sim in LD. I tried, too; next time, I'm writing a 'breakout' clone or something.
| Sombrero Runner(s) | A way to start a new game without quitting and re-launching would be nice, especially since you can die so often. | ||
| I have finish … | Laugh out loud indeed. As a game: mediocre; as a platform for subliminal messaging: sublime. | ||
| Hexxxy | Could stand to be a bit faster-paced, or have some way of increasing the difficulty of successive levels. | ||
| a bit late, but done! | I like that the window title is 'Pedestrian Simulator.' Something about that makes me giggle inside.

Also, happy birthday; grats on CAKE.
| Title | I've got to agree with Hamumu -- it's hard to judge this without knowing where you were going. Props for the slick menu; minus several for the slow-loading, unskippable intro screen. | ||
| I Give Up | It's a shame that you ran into such difficulties -- the tech demo as it is is rather fun. Car physics could use some improvement, and the world could have...I don't know, stuff in it, but it's fast and responsive. I feel like there was pretty good potential in here for a top-down classic GTA-style thing. And the procedural city generation is a cool idea. | ||
| DEAD END Will be at | Impressive modelling feat for LD, but gameplay leaves...something. Also, the controls are pretty unintuitive | ||
| Road To Pain! | I can't decide if your audio is so bad it's good or not. I think it might be. | ||
| Epic. Failure | I have to agree, this is pretty clearly unfinished. I sort of see what you were going for, though -- I mean, there's an RTS in here somewhere. Or something that will one day be an RTS. A proto-RTS, if you will. | ||
| Rolling Down the Road | There's a solid gameplay mode in here, but like shrt said, it just needs polish and some interface help. It does play really, really quickly (I'm using a keyboard here, which worked just fine, I think) but that's OK -- once you get started. One note: I played until there were no more small shrubs, and I still wasn't able to pick up anything larger. Made it sort of hard to...keep playing.

That said, I can see this evolving into a distance/time trial Katamari type game, where you have to travel a certain distance in X seconds, and are scored by how much you pick up along the way. Pretty cool. Also, Nevada? Random... |
