Really, really unforgiving -- and those time limits are a killer. 5 minutes of trying and I couldn't beat the first level!
And yeah, this really needs to be distributed via floppy disk for the full effect, I think.
Sound is spot on. Very Fzero-y. But it is way too hard, levels are almost trial and error, which makes the delay between losing and the next race starting feel too long. Still quite a cool game.
Everyone else has understated the impossibility of this game! Ouch!
I eventually passed the first level, once I found out how slow you can take it without running out of time (which isn't nearly slow enough!). But if that's easy, I'm not even gonna try the other levels! The one very simple thing this game needs is about 5x as much view-ahead. It really is pure memorization because you have no time to react to things. I think it would be fun if you were actually able to see what you were doing. Reminiscent of Chromadrome which is really fun.
High Towlr for making a game that destroys people.
This game really gives you satisfaction if you beat a level :).
I managed to finish the two easy levels,but I don't even dare to start the harder ones.
A little too hard, but cool concept and graphics. I kept on dying when trying to beat the time, and then when I went slow I wasn't fast enough... frustrating.
Like the others have said, the game is way too difficult, even on the easy level. It either needs to be slower or have a longer view distance to give the player enough time to react to obstacles. Well polished though - the sound and graphics are great!
Like this one a lot, reminds me of f-zero. Complete game, everything works, awesome plasma graphics!
I wish that it was easier to restart, rather than have the menu delays, and I wish the car would accelerate a bit faster at first.

After failing the easy level for a dozen times, I give up. The visibility is low, picking the wrong route (which you never know beforehand) is rather punishing, and still you'd have to drive REAL FAST to beat the minimum time. And this was the 'easy' level?
so hard.. but i did play a bunch of levels anyway.. ;) I really felt very cramped. I wish the angle of the board allowed much more view distance. Did the original f-zero have so little view distance? Anyway, all other parts of this game are really polished and well done for the time period. Definitely brings back amiga memories with the style you used. Nice work!
this reminds me of star roads, but that game has a perspective that lets me see and anticipate upcoming objects. the limited visibility of this game makes it hard to react to changes in the track. what adds to the frustration is how long it takes to start the track over.
Hard. Need to be more forgiving. Otherwise pretty.
Way too hard, needs more lookahead and much less inertia in the controls. But has much potential! :)
Very cool game, but I found it very very hard to control. Also, sometimes the collision detection felt off. Not sure why I died sometimes, not sure why I lived at others.
