Delightfully surreal experience. I'm not really sure what it's got to do with roads (despite having a few in it), but that isn't enough to stop me from liking it.
It does actually feel a bit like dreaming, which is pretty impressive. The lo-fi graphics are very nice too. The music would be deeply irritating in most games, but in this it works well.
Yeah...that was a freaky experience! After running through the screens being set into some kind of brainwash mode with surreal sounds and programmed with dogmas I know how Pink Floyd felt in the 60th during their LSD-Experiences! Thx... :D
Very, very nice. More art than game, perhaps -- and the visual style was dead perfect. Also, great audio. Simple, but great.
A weird game, as your other games. It alone makes the game good. However the style too similar to cactus's, I don't care about it.
Well, yeah, it's surreal... Huge theme fail, because this same concept could easily have been done heavily focused on roads. Roads are a very deep philosophical concept (as witnessed in my own Two Roads, which is intensely artistic and conveys a serious message about man's inhumanity to man!).
Anyhoo... I didn't like it because there's no actual game, but I liked the style.
Very much an art game. Does well in terms of mood and style. I found I spent a lot of time running around trying to find something more than randomness, but I never found it. I guess that is an art game about dreaming for you.
Gawd. That was craziness. I think you should make the dream climax and then have it end.
as the music and colors seemed to build in intensity it did really feel like a bummer to eventually just have to give up and quit. Needed an awakening / crescendoing out of the dream state. great mood and atmosphere. great art style and music. enjoyed myself as I tested the worlds limits and tried to see all that I could see of its creatures and landmarks. great little experience....!
i read the title as this game being clearly inspired by the playstation lsd. but there is just enough consistency in that game and yume nikki for the player to grab onto that she can get absorbed in the game's anti-logic. this game is just random: everything seems to have the same effect.
Amazing graphics and music.
That's how I always imagined "Lucky Wander Boy" (http://www.luckywanderboy.com/)
i think i'll have lunch at the psychedeli
Lots of neat pixel art, the sound slowly building in power was very unsettling. I felt like it was trying to be surreal for surreality's sake. Much like a dream, really. That's a legitimate goal, but just not one I'm personally interested in. I felt it would have been better served making the dream center around a significant event that's recently (or long ago) happened in the character's life. Then it could have built to a logical conclusion (a revelation, and waking up). Of course, all this is just my personal bias in what I'd look from for a piece like this -- if you were looking to make something surreal, meandering, and purely dreamlike, then I'd say you succeeded.
