LD46 — Keep it alive

Zen Watering by Gao Ming 2020-04-23T05:53:25Z

The animations and sound effects really made this game pop for me - unfortunately had a hard time moving the camera around (that may be because I'm not using a mouse, though) - but overall, very enjoyable! I really appreciate how much personality the plant had! :) Nice game!

Nekotchi by Devastus 2020-04-22T10:30:23Z

My first thought: the cat is so cute! I would have preferred if the cat wanted me to do things for it more frequently - but that's probably because I wanted to see Dee react more to my actions because Dee is adorable ~ XD

Tiny Fragments by Daniel Moreno 2020-04-22T10:40:40Z

The moment when you're frantically trying to rearrange panels around before the little guy walks off the screen - XD

I was going to suggest having a way to pause the game so you can rearrange panels - but then I realized part of the fun was scrambling to drag those panels in place while the character is walking around. Also wanted to suggest having different background aspects to create some variation in the visuals as you progress (ie. the tree at the end was a very nice touch) - but it's understandable that there was only a short time limit for creating the game, without having to worry about additional visuals on top of that. Overall, the game was easy to understand, the puzzles were fun to figure out, graphics were simple and pleasing - basically, a job well down in a short amount of time. :)

Socks by rainbowism 2020-04-22T10:09:32Z

Just want to say that the UI is amazing - simple to understand at a glance, and the art-style is cute too. :)

I would have preferred it if the game moved at a faster pace, as there was a lot of waiting around for something to do (- but that may be just me liking fast-paced games). Also, if I could suggest there being something added to the looking for new supplies, I think it would be interesting (ie. something the user could do that would make it MORE LIKELY for you to encounter the raccoons, or MORE LIKELY to find a new item - maybe different socks can have different effects? Or looking through the dumpster at certain times at night would make you more likely to encounter raccoons?).

Overall, good job on creating a cute game!

Keep Charlie Alive by Coolguy6316 2020-04-23T02:13:23Z

I laughed when I hit an enemy the first time - I didn't expect to go flying like that! I would have preferred a higher difficulty to the levels - but it was fun overall. Good job on your first Ludum Dare!

Grow Up by prokischd 2020-04-23T04:57:24Z

The art style is very cute. It seemed like the plant grew in whatever direction it wanted to, though... but besides that, a game that gives you a nice feeling inside. :)

Lamps by qkjosh 2020-04-23T04:38:15Z

I was too scared to continue playing at some point - but! The graphics were top-notch, and the way the lamps light up in the dark is beautiful. If it was easier to walk over knocked down lamps, that'd be great, but overall, the dog was really well done, and the little sound effects continued to pull you in and in and in. Amazing work for such a short time frame!

Cat Shelter Simulator by Fat cat 2020-04-23T04:01:26Z

The music was cute and caring for the cats made me feel pleasantly content inside - overall, I had a lot of fun caring for the kitties, and I thought that adding the camera shot was a very nice feature that made it all the more fun. Thank you for such a cute little game! :)

The Dragon's Curse by Aditya Kumar 2020-04-24T01:42:05Z

Ok this was a lot of fun - the music was beautiful and the dialogue was definitely funny enough for multiple playthroughs. I especially like the fog one - which I figured out in the end. XD Anyway, there seemed to be a very minor issue after the title screen where the game would show a purple-ish screen until you clicked again, but besides that I enjoyed every bit of this game. Thank you for making it! XD

Tanks For Nothing by SamLeCreator 2020-04-23T05:42:19Z

The pace of the game was perfect - it was rushed enough to make you panic at times, but not too rushed that you couldn't recover from intense moments, giving you that "whew!" feeling. I appreciated how the water level would rise as an object fell in the water, and how the fish just seemed indifferent to it all, lol. I would have loved to have a way to win the game, if only to save the fish, but perhaps that defeats the purpose of the leaderboard. All in all, I had a lot of fun playing this game. :)

Goat Rider by Notan Lemon 2020-04-23T04:47:28Z

Simple yet pleasing - the art style is really pleasant. And I enjoyed the talk about the shoes. I thought that was hilarious. XD

Hacker Boy by Connor0Wolf 2020-04-23T03:11:02Z

The fast pacing was fun, as you were rushing around doing things, and I enjoyed the little mini games. The clicking sound made everything way better, felt like you were really clicking away on a computer - the one thing I would have preferred was if the windows weren't overlayed on top of each other, since sometimes as I was deleting, for instance, the Hack.exe file to get at some puzzle underneath it, time would run out. Overall, though, I thought the game was pretty innovative and I enjoyed it! :P

Crazy Plant Lady by LaraLama 2020-04-22T09:30:06Z

Took me a little while to figure out how to keep the plants alive but overall, despite not having a virtual green thumb AT ALL I had a lot of fun! The graphics are beautiful ~

Social Distancing For LadyBugs by mehrdadsh 2020-04-22T10:56:01Z

I had a lot of fun with this game - it was simple but something kept compelling me to keep trying for that high score. Congrats on your first game jam! XD

Keep Pit Alive! by BunnyDen 2020-04-24T01:16:12Z

I appreciate the loading screen (it looks really good) and the horse's animations - especially that little bit when he's coming to a stop where he just sits down as he slides. XD I've noticed one minor issue where breaking your very first box causes the "breaking box sound" to play a couple times, making it seems like it's glitching for about 1.5 seconds - but everything works fine after that. :)

I am Dog by Craig Cordeiro 2020-04-23T02:43:35Z

I had more fun with this game than I though I would - although, I would have liked it if there were more options that affected the dog's curiosity vs. obedience, but overall, I enjoyed it. I have to say though - I appreciate the dog's dialogue.

Henry and Alan by TheDoctorOfTime 2020-04-23T06:17:32Z

It seemed a little difficult for the player to keep up with the platforms - but besides that, it was a nice, simple game. The music was very relaxing - kind of wanted to just keep playing the game for the music, lol. :)

Rolling Chicken TD by RodPraet 2020-04-23T03:28:10Z

I enjoyed the game - the decision to either buy another chicken or to upgrade a current one was fun. The UI was simple to understand at a glance - although some sound effects for the actions would've been nice, for example, it might've been hilarious when buying a chicken for the first time would cause it to let out a certain sound ~ XD. Though overall, I enjoyed it! My favorite part was when I upgraded Samurai Chicken to the max and just watched him take all enemies down -
