LD37 — One room

MEEPLE MAdNESS by ben657 2016-12-16T13:48:00

Great work! Really impressive for such a short time frame. It's a clever, original idea, and giving some traps/bonuses really helps give the gameplay some goals. Well done!

Freeze & Crush by levubivenatus 2016-12-13T17:26:00

I really like the graphics here - the outline is an awesome effect! It's simple and straightforward but the time freezing is done just fine. Fun little experience.

The Last Standing Sentinel by Tyranosaw 2016-12-14T13:05:00

Great concept! The controls aren't very intuitive, so I'd work on those a little bit more, but the gameplay's working very well and I love the graphics. Give this a solid setting and backstory and it'd be an excellent start to a game I'd definitely play!

One Room Full of Presents by zhur 2016-12-22T14:42:00

As I played this, I felt a strange sensation in my face. Within seconds, a large white beard had emerged. Confused, I pressed onward. After successfully passing the first level, a jolly roar erupted from my vocal chords: "HO HO HO!" Again, I wrote it off, thinking nothing of it. As I progressed further, I suddenly noticed that a sleigh was beneath me, I was 10,000 feet in the air, and I had a bag of presents behind me.

I am now Santa. Thank you for this experience.

Troll-y comment aside, great visuals, fun premise! Movement felt far too sensitive and the goal was not initially understandable to me, but I eventually figured it out. Would love to see it fleshed out.

Exit The Room Update 1.1 by Artsicle 2016-12-13T14:33:00

Interesting experiment! I liked seeing exactly when I decided to upgrade the clicker and when I decided to hold off on it - I'd like to see stats about when others upgraded too!

Fox rat eater by saurterrs 2016-12-13T14:56:00

Great execution! The game's definitely demanding - I like the level of challenge put into it. The leaderboard is a great touch, too, especially given the time constraint. Good fun and good use of the theme!

Mimonauta by SandBloom 2016-12-19T13:39:00

Really impressive concept and execution! I'd like for it to be a little clearer how to decrease the size of the room - it seemed like I could only expand it. Excellent work on the graphics and gameplay idea!

The Tomb by raconteurnick 2016-12-14T14:40:00

Thank you all for the nice feedback! :)

Let them in by Wildebeest Studio 2016-12-14T17:31:00

Fantastic graphics and art style! I agree with another reviewer who said more feedback when a door was open would be good - additionally, it's a little easy to just hold down SDJK and release them occasionally. Excellent work overall and again, really impressive visuals!

ButterFighters by LoadedGames 2016-12-14T12:57:00

What a fantastic idea - this is gold for a local multiplayer game! Really intrigued by the concept and I'd love to see a larger version of this sometime.

Room of Chaos and Creation by fivecyclops 2016-12-14T13:24:00

Great graphics from what I can see! Like other reviewers mentioned, I'm getting some pretty heavy performance hits - I'm not on a gaming machine but it's still enough to slow down the experience for me. Really impressive setup for such a short jam, though!

Tiny World by Ednei 2016-12-15T02:14:00

Really well done! The graphics are very impressive, especially for such a short time frame, and the unique perspective is a great mechanic for the game. Be careful with your UI sizing - anchor points that stretch on large elements like backgrounds and stay fixed on elements like menu items or text can help keep the display consistent on nonstandard resolutions. Overall, excellent work!

Game Show Looper by TheFudster 2016-12-15T02:19:00

Great work! I liked the graphics, no need to apologize for them. It took a few tries to learn how to play, even with the instructions, but it was a neat experiment!

NINJA ROOM by josemwarrior 2016-12-14T17:37:00

Fantastic! This is one of the best entries I've seen so far - the gameplay is very addictive, the 3D effect keeps me on my toes, and the graphics are excellent. Really impressed by the quality of this, great job!

The Tea Room by jimmynoshoes 2016-12-14T13:16:00

Interesting idea! I haven't seen it executed this well before, and it worked very well as a webgame. Well done, especially in picking out an innovative way to develop the game!

12 Angry Tenants by Coauctor 2016-12-13T17:39:00

Really impressive for such a short time frame! I wish I had read the explanation about what tenants want before I had started, but it's a quick process and the tutorial is very useful. I'm impressed and I'd definitely play an expanded version of the game!

Twelve Days of Murder! by Capitals 2016-12-15T14:37:00

Nice work! Innovative game mechanic - I'd like to see a fuller game based on this idea. I was a little unclear on how the controls worked and the two-light limit was pretty strict, but very creative and interesting work overall.

Utility Station OR-152 by Justin Mullin 2016-12-19T13:24:00

This is fantastic! Like a few other comments said, I'd definitely play a full game of this. Really impressive work no matter what, and especially so given the time frame.

Fishing Rod 3000 by elmoGames 2016-12-14T13:33:00

This was fun! I haven't seen this style of game before and it was really neat to experiment with. I ran into a crash when I tried to run with only "Nothing" actions, but otherwise the game works just like I expected it to, and it's an interesting and innovative idea.

4/4 Room by Remicy 2016-12-15T02:27:00

Fantastic! One of the best I've played so far. Addictive gameplay and really solid execution - I'd definitely play an expanded version of this. Excellent work!

Three Minutes to Midnight by BlueTheLemon 2016-12-16T13:52:00

Really impressive visuals! The gameplay was a little hard to follow sometimes, but I could definitely see it blossoming into a fuller game. The mood and visuals really made it for me - the dark room and world map drove the point home and did a lot of storytelling on their own. Well done!

Tehos : Rebirth by Atmog 2016-12-15T13:22:00

Really impressive work! Addicting gameplay and great animations. I played this one for longer than I played just about any other entry yet, it's an excellent experience!

Hero Wardrober by Detocroix 2016-12-13T14:50:00

Clever game and great execution! The UI blending into the world is a fantastic touch, and I loved the descriptions on the items. Really solid little experience.

Hero Wardrober by Detocroix 2016-12-13T14:51:00

Clever game and great execution! The UI blending into the world is a fantastic touch, and I loved the descriptions on the items. Really solid little experience.

THE ROOM by Genpaku 2016-12-13T14:43:00

I liked the art style - very clever take on rearranging items in the room! The "I cannot do that" popups made me laugh, poor little guy.

A ROOM by seththefirst 2016-12-17T20:44:00

Impressive work! Like a couple other reviewers, I never got hurt by the zombies. Eventually the frame rate dropped too much for me to finish, but I really like the concept and execution, and leaving bullets behind as breadcrumbs was a handy little touch. I'd like to have seen a little more variation in the room or maybe a little more hint at a story, but I had a great time playing!

Magic Gone Wrong by CottonKitty 2016-12-13T17:21:00

Excellent balancing! The recharging ammo works really well and it's a solid game mechanic throughout. I thought I had found a foolproof way to win by staying in a corner, but you've set it up so that it's necessary to keep moving to win. Well done!

Geometry Encounters by hlavik211 2016-12-15T14:27:00

Great start! Very smooth movement and animations, and clear goal and gameplay. Keep going with programming and game development - this is a fantastic entry and it'll be great to see more!

There Is No Room by RttStudio 2016-12-13T17:31:00

Really well done! The UI is really tastefully executed and the room expanding was an interesting mechanic. I'd be interested in seeing this expanded into a larger game for sure. Smooth, crisp, and clean, like the other reviewer said - well done for such a short timeframe.
