Graphics aren't great, the gameplay element isn't quit solidified. But I love the political idea of this. I'm quite interested in politics, so this gave me a good laugh! Nice going
Great use of the theme. Loved the art, and the music rocked. I found it a bit tricky to control the screen with its momentum, but that's cause I'm a bad gamer! Nice work
Added in a mirror for downloads for anyone experiencing a problem.
I really enjoyed the graphics in this game. And game idea wise, I could clearly see what you were driving at. Unfortunately your introduction screen doesn't offer much direction, and it seems that the gameplay isn't quite there. My friend commented on a sense of motion sickness going into this, but I didn't experience this. Nice entry though!
Hard, but fun. I got to a score of 30! Proud of myself. Loved the sound effects. Loved your art style. Really simple concept, that works really well! Nice going.
It's a cool game with nice ideas. The shop had a bug for me where I could infinitely buy upgrades without the needed coins. - @Foxelbox
Well, I'm glad to see you two finished. Never made a game before and you did that. Well done lads!
The slime is adorable, and the platforming is fun and strategic. The player feels a bit heavy though, and the momentum is a bit slow at times. I really liked the shields and swords c:
Absolutely beautiful art style for a game, quirky and clunky controls which hinder my ability to play but clearly add some difficulty to this and a soundtrack that blew me away and made me just want to leave the game open and dance! Really well done!
There are a lot of random things that you can die from. This'd be fine, but it takes a bit too long to restart. A near instant respawn would be welcome. There isn't much visual feedback to the explosions, maybe some screenshake? Otherwise the company-critical messages and the gameplay were mildly amusing, if not anything I'd play for long.
There isn't really much strategy here, I never had to use the more expensive units. The pathfinding seems to get stuck a lot, especially with slower units. No direct control over your units means that the easiest way to win is to flood the board with units and hope that they'll make it to the heroes.
@S0lll0s yeah sorry about that, we're going to fix the game crashing bug
We'll be releasing a more updated version on Itch. This version will contain audio, more levels and it will be less punishing in terms of games design... Or maybe we'll keep that element cause it seems to make people keep trying
Like being on LSD. 5/5 for all. Best.
I tried playing it with two playstyles, the evil and the good way. Playing evil doesn't really have much challenge, as you can just kill everyone and hope you get a high score. Playing good is really slow, you have to wait for the beast mode to run out to make sure you only kill the red people. Graphics and sounds are neat and suitable to the theme.
Turns take quite a bit to complete, as every animation is accompanied with an odd pause. There isn't much strategy to it, since there are only two things you can do (three if you count potions). A lot of the time you just need to keep attacking and drink potions when one of your crew gets low on HP. The between-matches lounge is a bit weird, you have to use the keyboard for this bit while everything else is mouse controlled. Apart from clunkiness, this game is appealing and addicting, since new heroes are given randomly.
5 stars for all. I clicked so hard I got a Repetitive Strain Injury...
This is honestly perhaps the most fun LD game I've played to date. The yeti has to gather up momentum, but it's still relatively easy to control and ends up creating an amazingly fun challenge. The relatively close camera adds to the feeling of you actually being a starving yeti chasing skiiers in a hurry. The graphics are simple, adorable and all-around lovely to look at, the music and sounds are cheerful, wintery and really suit the game well. Amazing job! C:
Took a while to get anything to happen, it seems to take a few tries to get to the RTS part. When I got into the RTS portion, the tanks seemed to get stuck behind invisible walls, seemingly making it impossible to continue. A bit more extensive a tutorial would be really helpful.
The aiming takes a bit of getting used to and even then didn't really click with me, but other than that, it's really amazing. The graphics are appealing, but the villagers are a bit hard to distinguish from the background sometimes. The extra skills are fun to use and add to the fast paced gameplay really well!
Really, really loved the concept, dialogue and gameplay of this! Well done!
Loved the art. Loved the sounds. Creepy as hell.
Getting stuck on buildings and trees was a bit irritating, I got killed a few times by a bomb spawning on top of me. Otherwise the simple mechanics work and the graphics are appealing too.
Unfortunately the game wouldn't even let me press play or quit, so I haven't had the opportunity to even play.
It seemed really hard to avoid getting hit, even with the shield. The enemies also seem to lob knives through walls and from offscreen. The theme is really cool though, and the chickens are adorable! Neat game overall c:
While the gameplay is really simplistic and doesn't have much going for it, it looks appealing and smashing space to see a soda can fountain shoot higher is strangely fun.
The car felt really heavy, and couldn't pick up too much momentum. Some kind of powersliding mechanic would've been nice. Even so, it was fun to knock people around and about. It was a bit unclear as to when a person would be 'out', sometimes they dissappeared in the middle of the road and sometimes they got up near the restaurant after being knocked a massive distance there. It would've been nice to have a restaurant health meter on the screen to let me know how close I was to losing. Other than that, really fun for a bit! c:
Really enjoyed this. It's a bit simplistic but I understand the restraints of a jam. It's something I was easily able to find funny and enjoyable.
There isn't much challenge here. I was expecting a bit more typing. The graphics are cute, even though the blood splatters don't seem to fit in with the rest of the assets.
The animations were great and cheerful, I love how unenthusiastic the dancer gets with lower rankings. The gameplay gets repetitive pretty fast though.
The player moves a bit slow, and not being able to stop mid-jump makes the jumps behave a bit oddly. Attacking also has a somewhat short range, which makes fighting enemies a bit awkward. The upgrades spice up the game well, and it's visually appealing.
Really would have loved this to be longer, but it is hilarious. The scrolling text made my day, and the size of the fist you throw is insane! Nice job.
Quite a light-hearted and cute take on the Ludum Dare theme! I would like to see the monster do more, but the sound effects, music and artwork added a happy feeling to the game!
Nice relaxing music & audio and a bit of a quirky gameplay concept. I liked this, and also well done for this as a first entry. You should be extremely proud!
Nice game. It has simple and easy to pick up gameplay. The loopable music gets a bit annoying however...
A bit unsure of what was going on but the audio was awesome, graphics were spoopy
The controls were a bit hard to grasp and I couldn't properly figure out what to do, even though I got through a few of the fights. The graphics were appealing though.
So yes, it's chess with a limited feature set (no turn order, no win condition). The graphics style is interesting though. The square selection seems to go off kilter when moving towards the top of the board.
Really good fun for the few moments it lasts. It seemed a bit too easy but then again, I don't think these villagers were prepared for a giant T-Rex, even with all of their tanks ;>
