The game is pretty impressive, I haven't seen anyone else submit a game created for such an old computer and that gives it a few points in innovation.
The game stuck to the theme pretty well, it combines 2 genres that seem fairly unrelated.
Graphics are okay, but this was made for the Commodore 64 so I think the game deserves some credit there.
Humor and mood aren't really here. The game's two genres aren't exactly funny (one is stressful and the other one is edutainment most of the time) and I can't say the game set up a good atmosphere for me.
The game isn't bad but I do have a few issues with it, one of which is the music.
Is there anyway to make the music not stop and start from the beginning of the song when you die? It kind of gives me a headache when it keeps looping again and again, and it doesn't help that the game is pretty damn hard.
Not to say it shouldn't be hard, I think the game could be pretty fun because of the difficulty curve.
But, the music is again making things a bit tricky. Could you tone down the intensity of the music? The original Flappy Bird had no music which allowed people to focus on the distinct sound effects for flapping, dying, and moving through pipes.
The music in this game is rather distracting, a calmer, slower track would probably work better. If possible, a few sound effects would really sell it. Make sure they're not annoyingly loud though.
The fun and overall would probably be a 3 if it wasn't for all the issues with audio I had. Mood would probably go up a bit too.
2.5/5 - Would play again with sound turned off.
Edit:
3/5 - Would play again with sound turned on.
