Great idea, I find the handling a bit too stiff, but it could become a complete game without problem!

Totally agree with Robowarrior1982, the platforming controls are ROUGH! But I like how the mechanics work together. With snappier controls and a higher jump, this could be a lot of fun as a complete game. Also - character shouldn't have to rotate to face the direction they're shooting... right? I dunno, worth reconsidering.
Thanks! Yeah, I know that aiming is stiff, but since this is more of a puzzle and less of a shooter I left fixing it at the end which didn't work out.
Hey, prioritization! I think you made the right call then, since you got all the other core stuff working pretty well.
Pretty nice! Though I'd recommend changing some of the colors like the yellow and green as my colorblind eyes can just barely distinguish between the two of them. :)
It's good :) ! But arrow keys left and right no produce same than A and D keys...
You can check my game here if you want https://ldjam.com/events/ludum-dare/41/lookyourfuel
good game! Control is a bit stiff, still fun though!
What a cool concept! The only issue I found was the arrow keys did not flip the character only the a and d keys could
Good game, I like the way you implement this concept!
Played the web build, it was fun! I did find that the mouse aim was a bit clunky (probably because I was playing on touchpad). I expected your character to shoot out colored balls so you can build platforms (if the colors don't match) and break bubbles if the colors match. I like the creative scoring method with strategically waiting to kill the enemies. Overall nice work!
Really great concept, perfect for the theme. Would love to see the controls smoothed out (maybe the gun follows the mouse and not the direction the player is facing?).
I really like the idea! It fits the theme very well but I noticed that game uses above 50% of my CPU and 70% of GPU which is rather strange and probably needs to be fixed. Rather than that, there's a minor bug where enemies don't get crushed by the wall but just end up outside. Also, a pause menu would be pretty neat as well as some mechanic to not allow the player to camp at the top and shoot all the blocks around but all in all, awesome game, good job!
@nufflee Good point, i should probably cap it and don't let update run at 600fps with lots of unnecessary calculations for such time period.
Great game! I agree with @Jacoder23 as a fellow color-blind person, those two were impossible to distinguish.
The biggest issue is simply bugs. Fix those and the game would be far more enjoyable. Well done, either way.
And with that, I am now the king of ghosts and balls! It was fun messing around with. Interesting idea of shooting the balls with a movable character. You can just barely jump up over 2 balls, but I think either make it so you can obviously can or can't jump 2 balls in height. That would help I believe. Thanks for making this, I enjoyed it!
Woot! Another SameGame with shooting mechanic. Welcome to the club!
Interesting little game. The controls could be refined a bit, but it was fun to play. Great work!
I really like the concept of this game! Had a ton of fun!
Fantastic game, smart idea and having a scoreboard is a bonus. Movement/aiming could have been better as comments have said. Great job!
Nice arcady sound effects. Nice gameplay. Overall great concept. I've made a quite a similar game and I can say that my game has a tonne of bugs compared to yours. Great work!!
Old-skool puzzle-plus-spooky fun! I do agree with some of the comments about allowing 360-degree aiming, but other than that the game makes a lot of sense, was easy to pick up, and made me curious to see more. If you do pick it up again, I'd be interested to see what sorts of ways you would want to make later levels more challenging and different. Well done! :)
That was a lot of fun! I think it would be really cool with more levels, maybe even power-ups as well, but still, I really enjoyed it. Good job!
Funny idea! I included it in my Ludum Dare 41 compilation video series, if you’d like to take a look. :) https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=LgRYnPldaL4
