LD38 — A Small World

Gaia by PowerSpark 2017-05-08T10:21:20Z

I really liked the feeling in the game taking place on the back of a large creature... and the dust for the foot stomping was a really nice visual touch in the art style. For some reason, I was thinking of Gamera the whole time (but I'm a Kaiju movie fan) heh. ^^

Even though I did have a bit of trouble figuring out the objective and didn't get very far in the game, I felt it was complete and done well. Very impressive for a 48-hour comp game.

Planet Desumaton by SiegfriedCroes 2017-05-01T14:12:51Z

The little details in the art made it totally worthwhile to play. Tough, but enjoyable.

Inside Inc. by OWC 2017-05-06T10:23:34Z

I played the WebGL build. Controls and gameplay were nice... I missed the shoot sound in this build I guess - it would have made the experience that much better. I did enjoy playing it though and liked the innovative - but a bit frustrating for me (not that it's a bad thing) - WASD movement... it just means you need to develop your move/aim/shoot skill... which I think is something you should have to gain in most games (which makes them challenging to master). ^^ Looked great too. Nicely done!

SLINGSHOOT by chaoclypse 2017-05-01T14:22:46Z

Clever game mechanic! The more I tried to sling a bullet back the more I died from said bullet! Ahaha ^^

Terraform by ijzm 2017-05-01T14:50:58Z

Interesting concept... spaceman crashes on the planet and has to gather resources to make a basic shelter. Maybe over time, they can scavenge enough to build a new ship. ^^

Kawaii sim prototype. Nicely done for a compo submission. ^^

Digital Backwater by Max Cahill 2017-05-01T13:41:31Z

This was really interesting... I spent way too much time moving around blocks! Hehe. The persistent multi-player world was a very cool "expansion" on the "a small world" theme.

Thank you very much to all the people who played, rated, and especially left comments for our little game. It was really a lot of fun participating in this game jam; and, of course, plenty of lessons were learned. As a result of this experience, I truly believe that participating in game jams makes you a better game designer. Special thanks to my teammates for all their hard work and for making this such a good time. Cheers

A World In Her Eye by OrbitalBlueprint 2017-05-01T14:39:24Z

Slow paced game with something to figure out. I used to play Kings Quest back in the day so I related to this type of game. Nice start of something here.

ZEUS VS MOLES by Fouralex 2017-05-08T11:09:16Z

I enjoyed playing this. Well done on the graphics, audio, and complete gameplay. I was just terrible at playing it. hehe A great comp submission!

Down the Rabbit Hole by those-30-ninjas 2017-05-06T09:48:25Z

Nice game intro and fun to experience. Interesting interpretation of the theme; card puzzler? ^^ Love the retro feel with a great job on the graphics and sound... and a plus on the styling for setting the mood. The game felt complete too. Well done.

This is Cutopia by Heinrix 2017-05-06T09:28:17Z

Very fun and cute game! Of course, I wish you would have had time for adding sounds... that would have really finished off the game nicely. The game was still fun to play without though and it didn't affect my rating. ^^ Nicely done.

Nice art and fast gameplay. It has the potential to be a really fun game! Good work. ^^
