DIVINE VISUALS. Excellent color palette and NPCs. I really liked the character we play as. The system for transitioning between levels is also awesome. I didn't manage to reach the boss—I got killed - but those who aren't casual players will definitely make it!

The vibrant visuals and quirky world give this roguelite a ton of personality. The combat feels smooth and satisfying, and the level transitions are a great touch. Really polished and impressive for a jam game!

A fun game. However, there’s a drawback with the collision of the gears—sometimes they can pass right through an opponent.
@fedor-perfilov thanks for playing! and thanks for the heads up about the gear collisions, that's really useful feedback

A classic style platformer focused on eradicating aliens, the music and sound effects create a truly apocalyptic atmosphere. The only thing I would have adjusted is the health bar, it feels like I can charge in headfirst without any real risk of dying ! Otherwise, great work.

Smooth gameplay and great visuals! I don't see the "Old Tech" part though 😅
That's pretty good, similar to my game without the puzzle part, I really liked it, and good idea with the mouse that hit looks and hits in the direction of the pointer.

The hero feels really fun to control, and both attacks are a blast to use. Loved the variety of enemies and the visuals too. Only thing I’d change is the health bar, it’s so small I didn’t even notice it at first and had to squint to check my HP. Great work overall!

A really nice game, even though I’m struggling quite a bit with it, haha! The graphics and audio are also very good; it feels like a well-polished game that’s enjoyable to play :) Perhaps it’s just because I’m not at all used to this type of game, but I’d say that completing the levels isn’t easy
this is so cool!! love the music and graphic. A bit of Halloween vibe and some cyber tech feeling to the beats. The motions of the bot and the monsters are very well polished! I especially like how the bot looks at the mouse. Enjoyed playing it, didn't survive too long but it was fun. The melee attack range is slightly frustrating and I kept missing my ranged shot. This makes things hard but still, well made! a challenge but nice
@yupaz thanks! glad the apocalyptic vibe landed, and fair note on the health bar feeling too forgiving

The art is so juicy! Seriously caught my eye the second I booted up the game. Gameplay was fun at first, but the waves just drag on for way too long. Ended up tapping out on level 3—was really hoping for a boss fight instead of just three more identical waves. Music was a bop though! Definite thumbs up for the visuals and audio.

The music rocks! That's my favorite bit, for sure. I get old DOS game vibes.
The game was fun. I wish the enemies didn't have quite so many HP, or the weapon recharged faster. Felt like some parts were a bit of a slog to get enemies killed.
I love the physics and high-mobility out of the gate.

Wow that was weird! In a good way. Those enemies (and player character as well) are somehow weirdly scary. Maybe because of their animations, they are so good. Controls and platforming feels really solid, art looks great, audio is awesome too. Great job guys.
@bit0 thanks a lot! really glad the art and audio stuck with you, and fair note on the repetition, it's the part that's hardest to keep fresh over a run
@bit0 double post, my bad. but yeah, the repetition point is the one i keep thinking about
@yarakdemir thanks! and congrats on your first jam art, that's a big step. really nice to hear our game could be a bit of inspiration
@aterim thanks! glad the movement and the falls landed, the tumbles were a lot of fun to watch. the full restart after dying is a fair note, it does sting
@apokrypha thank you! really glad the art and music landed, that's a big part of what we were going for
@jiri-hysek haha thanks, 'weird in a good way' is exactly the vibe we wanted. glad the animations and platforming felt solid
This game overall was pretty good, the visuals were great (all of it, animations, sprites). the movement feels nice and the platforms are fair. The one feedback I have is to make the melee attack better, it feels really pointless compared to the ranged attack. Sure its faster but the hitbox is so small that you need to be right up next to enemies to hit it (and you will take some damage from that)

@lomna Thank you for your assessment and constructive feedback. It would be a mistake to assume that melee attacks become useless once you’ve upgraded your arms; they remain more powerful and can be helpful for taking down certain types of enemies, as well as for navigating specific phases of boss fights more easily.
This is a real nice entry, loved the physicality of all the enemies and the player controller. and that all enemies had unique behavior! It looks great too! Felt like there was quite a spike in difficulty after the first boss but it might just be that i picked the wrong upgrades / skill issue :) great stuff

Very cool stuff, thought the audio was especially good. Loved the look, colours and the level design. Not 100% sold on the controls (although they were straightforward, just maybe a bit tricky) but I thought it's a really top effort for the jam
Wow, "Textolite" is an absolute masterpiece for a Jam entry! The polish on this game is insane, and the controls feel incredibly responsive and smooth. I absolutely loved how the main character's head and gaze follow the mouse pointer — that attention to detail is brilliant!
The level of juice in this game is incredible: the movement physics, the visual effects upon colliding with the environment, and the spiderwebs look beautiful. The music is an absolute bop; it fits the apocalyptic cyber-tech vibe perfectly!
I managed to reach Stage 2, and while the difficulty spikes up quite heavily and becomes brutally challenging, the experience is amazing. The new enemy types — those creepy worms, swarms, and spiders — look spectacular! The procedural-like animations and the unique behavior of each monster make the battles feel super intense.
This is easily one of the most polished and full-fledged games of the entire jam. Fantastic work by the whole team! If you get a break between fighting these tech-creatures, I’d be absolutely thrilled if you could check out my retro-tech ASMR cleaning simulator too! Good luck! 🕹️🐛🕸️⚡

@ynukym-academy Thank you so much for such an incredibly warm and detailed review! Reading that “Textolite” is called a masterpiece and one of the most polished games of the jam is huge motivation for the whole team.
It’s especially rewarding that you noticed the little details we poured our hearts into: the head and gaze following the mouse, the movement physics, the collision VFX, and the procedural-like monster animations. It’s great that the music and the overall vibe hit the mark too!
As for the difficulty on Stage 2 — thanks for pointing that out! From our side, the difficulty increase there actually feels fairly gentle, though the new enemy types can definitely make it seem like a sharper spike. It might be down to their behavior and the density of the fights. Still, we’re really glad you pushed through to Stage 2 and enjoyed it — and if we develop the project further, we’ll definitely take another look at balancing.
And of course, thanks for inviting us to check out your retro-tech ASMR cleaning simulator! One of our team members has already taken a look and rated it, and the rest of us will definitely check it out again too — it sounds super atmospheric and unique. Thanks for the support, and good luck with the jam!
Phew, it took me 4 attempts to get through it all! Hand upgrade is definitely OP!
I'm very surprised by the scope of this game. Lots of content for a jam entry!
Some specific gameplay feedback: - For melee attacks, it'd be a bit more convenient to increase the size of the hitbox. Maybe not so much the distance, but rather the angular range, so there'd be less need to aim precisely with melee. - Also, I'd increase the cooldown on melee attacks so you'd have to make a conscious decision instead of just click-spamming. That would increase the player's agency a bit more :) - IMHO, getting knocked out from a fall feels a bit like unexpected overkill, considering how high and quickly the character can jump. - And since the game is quite long and really intense it would be nice to have a simple pause (maybe I just didn't find it)
