Hello! The concept is really interesting, but I can't get the game to work. It load 1st level 1st song, but the song itself does not start and well, I can't play. If you would be so kind, ping me when it'll be fixed. Cheers!
Hello, @starexplorer - thanks for the feedback. So it loads the level but you don't get any sound? Do you get the 3 - 2 - 1 count down?

fun game, Too bad you can't go to next song using keyboard
@fataljg - thanks for the thought. I actually snuck in an update based on your feedback. Space key now can be used for all buttons.

I noticed that the fish were worth different point values but I don't know how much each is worth. I think it would be a good idea to add a pause menu in order to change sound settings and see the value of each fish.
@letskillem2248 great feedback. I agree with you. I wish we would've had time to do some more polishing. Thanks for checking it out!

Ah, a fellow flute summoner game! Wonderful artwork. It seemed like certain notes weren't playing in the initial song which I think could be confusing, and similarly when the song is completely I'm not sure if I'm correct and then a fish seems to hop forward a few seconds later. With more discreet indicators I think it would help the player understand a bit better.
@uvwar Thanks for playing and for the feedback. We are aware that on some browsers/systems for some reason notes are occasionally not playing. We hope to do a bug fix for that. Thanks again for checking it out!
@starexplorer and @uvwar the playback issue should be fixed. Thanks again for reporting it!
Cool game! Pretty uncommon to see a game that uses these keybindings but it was quite enjoyable. The background is gorgeous and the game is pretty fun. Nice work!
Really cool idea! I felt like I actually had to sound out the pattern in my brain to remember. I am sitting in my room going "Aaaaaa, Fffff, Sss, Ddd, hhhhhhh" haha. I do think a little more information on how the scoring works would be great (Does the length of each note matter? I assume so but its hard to know how close I was after the fact).
Overall great entry! Keep it up.
It's simple, yet incredibly fun – you've nailed it, my friend. You've crafted a game that's like a potato chip; you just can't play it once and be done with it!
fun idea :) going from remembering the letters to remembering the feeling of the notes for longer sequences was great :)

Interesting concept, I had fun trying to replay the song, and the design was quite effective.
A couple suggestions for improvement: I would have liked to see my score a little more prominently after each level to give more clear feedback on how well I did before it proceeded (I see the score on the left, but something a little more central might be nice for me). It wasn't clear to me how much my rhythm affected my score - if rhythm matters, a metronome might be nice to make the rhythm more clear (at least for when you introduce to melody). Lastly, I found the countdown a little long for me, and I sometimes would forget parts of the melody while waiting for it (but maybe that would get better if I practiced more :) ) - but maybe that is intentional design to add challenge
Overall it's a fun little game, great job!
@paloobi thanks for your feedback and suggestions on making variables such as score and how the rhythm affects the score more apparent to the user. We will definitely pay attention to that in the future. Thanks for playing!
I like how you can freestyle a bit and still score, just like Parappa The Rapper! Very zen. The spacebar shortcuts to get past the menu and advance the level/song did not work for me and I was forced to click the buttons every time. All the musical notes seemed to work just fine.
Good job, the mechanic works well.
Funny game. Pretty good visual!
The game is cool, but my music abilities are scarce :( I would starve if the only way to get food is repeating melodies.
@cheesepencil thanks for the feedback. Glad you like it! The spacebar was a last minute feature add. Not 100% sure why it isn't working for you, but I have had it fail intermittently, too. If you press one of the flute keys after the "next song" it sometimes fails. Or if for some reason you click out of the game, the button will be deselected when you click back into the game. Thanks again!
@fenix131113 and @brainles-etertainment - thanks for checking it out!
Seems pretty solid overall. I really like the overall mood it creates.
Nitpicky suggestions to add a bit of polish: * Try different scales, like maybe a pentatonic scale, to help each song sound more musical instead of just random. It wouldn't involve changing any logic! * Fade the notes out instead of just stopping them. Right now, it clicks at the end of each note.
The fact that my comments are about music instead of gaming should be a good sign. :)

That was a pretty creative idea. The mood in the game was great between the ambient sounds and the flute. The graphics also looked great. It was simple but it worked well. Great job!
Favorite thing about this game is the mood, it's got a nice vibe to it. Looks like you already got a lot of feedback, the only suggestion I have is maybe have ASFD and JKL; be the notes to play. I think that'd feel more natural for playing on a PC keyboard. Just an idea, I could be wrong lol.
Nice game! Very fun take on the theme, and the vibes are immaculate. Good job!

After starting the game, nothing happens after “listen to the song then play it!”
I have Firefox as my browser and no worries about testing the other games in the jam, but I guess this is it.
Too bad! I really would have liked to test this musical game, it sounds like a cool idea! :(Capture.JPG
The game doesn't seem to work. I don't hear anything besides the waves. Also, pressing any of these keys does nothing.
