Hey this is pretty fun. My controller didn't work sadly which i feel like would've felt more natural (DualSense) but seems perfectly fine on keyboard. Car handles well overall and while I understand that it needs to stop fast to keep players from constantly falling off I think you could've gotten away with sliiiiightly more momentum after letting up on the gas, to make coasting while turning feel better.

That said, it looks great and is fun to play. I played probably 10 or so rounds after I started typing this just trying to beat my scores, which is always a good sign. Well done

nathmate 2023-10-03 03:53

Nicely executed concept. The tire trails were visually pleasing. Being able to drift with the handbreak would be cool.

taeghen 2023-10-03 12:50

I like the game, with few hours of polish it can be really cool (if we can drift like the previous tester said)

lastuck 2023-10-03 16:38

Fun game! I really liked the graphics

hofendrior 2023-10-03 19:00

Really nice concept and the graphics are great. Handling was unexpectedly unresponsive in some cases, but the back-reversal mechanic feels awesome!

magic-mike 2023-10-03 19:44

Well done ! It was quite hard, but we had a blast playing it. Pb is 630

arnazian 2023-10-03 21:46

First of all let me just say that the bouncing blocks on title screen were lit.

I really enjoyed moving the car around, I liked the fluid controls and moving blocks down space was satisfying. I do wish that the edges were a little less punishing, all my deaths were from flying off the edge trying to move around fast and i never made it to where there were too many blocks to handle.

I found the optimal gameplay for me was to slowly and carefully move blocks around, which was really boring and unsatisfying compared to quickly zapping around and ramming into blocks everywhere. I feel like you should do something to encourage players to encage with the fun movement mechanics, and discourage the slow and controlled boring route.

Overall the game was one of the more fun games I've played so far, a little adjustments here and there and I'd love to play more of it.

Very fun and beautiful game, maybe you could make a webgl exports dont not have to download 500mbs but otherwise great game.

kennyklizzle 2023-10-04 02:19

I wasn't able to play. I received the error: GPU Crashed or d3d removed

fivecyclops 2023-10-04 05:31

@trifectuh @hofendrior Thanks for your comment ! Yes the driving feeling isn't 100% what we intended but glad you still had fun with it ! Also as @nathmate and @taeghen it could have been great to use the handbrake to drift, we definitely would love to add that. Thank you all for playing our game !

fivecyclops 2023-10-04 05:33

@lastuck @magic-mike Really happy you enjoyed the game ! Thanks for playing it !

darzu 2023-10-04 05:36

It was fun to push things off the edge! The driving controls felt a little odd to me, perhaps they needed more momentum? I liked the lazer!

fivecyclops 2023-10-04 05:37

@arnazian Very interesting feedback, I agree that it's sad to play slowly / carefully while it's more fun to smash the obstacles at high speed, one of the team member also said he was dying more by falling than from the obstacles breaking the platforms, your feedback confirm it. Maybe it would have been even more fun to respawn when we fall so the only possible game over was the destruction of all the platforms?

fivecyclops 2023-10-04 05:40

@greenpig Thanks for playing ! Sadly Unreal Engine 5 doesn't support WebGL, as far as I know. Glad you enjoyed the game and thanks for commenting !

fivecyclops 2023-10-04 05:43

@kennyklizzle We made the game on Unreal Engine 5, the engine is quite greedy maybe it crashed cos your computer doesn't fit UE5 hardware requirement ? or your driver aren't updated ? Did you play other UE5 games on this computer ?

anatol-dumitras 2023-10-04 06:38

That was a lot of fun! The title screen is a nice touch and the gameplay itself is very enjoying. Overall, a great little twist on the theme.

alisher-fazilov 2023-10-04 08:59

A simple but addictive game! Fun gameplay, nice graphics. It lacks some exciting music and sounds

grizeldi 2023-10-04 15:10

Looks fun so I wanted to give it a shot, but as a Linux user the fact that you're using a DX12 export apparently breaks my compatibility layer. RIP.

henk-fan 2023-10-04 15:11

Great concept with fun gameplay! It tied well with the theme of limited space!

fan 2023-10-04 16:01

easy design,a lot of fun

ryrumeli 2023-10-05 04:57

I love this design, it is somple yet fun. I love finding games like this, that are simple to learn and bring honest fun, haven't played something like this for a while. Very in-theme as well.

rankb 2023-10-05 05:18

It's a good interpretation of the theme and I liked the physics-based gameplay loop. The visuals were nice too.

hawkin 2023-10-06 02:46

This was strangely addictive! I really enjoyed pushing things around, and the physics were satisfying. Sometimes the car seemed to accelerate more than I meant it to (for example, after only pushing reverse for a moment), but it's hard to be sure.

The fact that platforms regained integrity after I cleared objects was very forgiving. I think that is smart for a jam!

I'm sure you ran out of time, but some sound effects would have added a lot of juice to the interactions!

bluedandelion 2023-10-07 11:42

Solid game. The controls feel a bit weird for me, and I found a weird trick where you keep only one of the hexagons alive and then it is easier to deal with the falling objects (but it is still quite easy is to fall). Great game!

thaprofesional 2023-10-10 12:47

Had a lot of fun playing this - it was really easy to sit there going "on more game" over and over.

Great graphics. Cool take on the theme. The car felt good to control - pretty weighty. Really liked the laser - wish I could fire it more often.

Only thing I missed was sound.

Also one other punter mentioned not being able to run it on linux - I ran it via wine without any issues.

arqsenpai 2023-10-16 15:56

Solid concept and execution, I had a lof of fun playing it! You want to try again and again, pushing multiple blocks at the same time out of the platform is satisfying, the difficulty feels balanced (for me at least). The car control is a bit "all or nothing" so it's a bit hard when you want to turn, which can be a take for your game, but I feel like an "inbetween" would have also been nice.

Sadly, there's no sound at all, which would have been really cool :(

You did a really good job there though :)

sal-zhang 2023-10-19 15:22

When I play this game, I feel the concept of the game, it is the soul of the game, can attract my interest and keep them interactive.

A good concept can make a game stand out. In addition, the visuals and music of the game also had a significant impact on my experience.

The visual effects of the game screen may not be so delicate but it is also characteristic enough, (I really love this game's 3D, I like those texture, also I think this background space is beautiful ) and the harmony of the music combined with the atmosphere of the game makes the whole experience more pleasant.

In addition, the difficulty and balance of the game are also key elements of the quality of the game, they can ensure that the game is challenging but not too difficult.

All in all, I think itโ€™s a great little game that has the concept, the visuals, the music and the gameplay to keep players interested and engaged.

This is a measure of the quality of a small game, and this game gives me a lot of fun.

If you like my reviews, check out my game too! Absolutely stunning! Thank you!!

patbgames 2023-10-19 19:42

Don't show my score to the authorities, they may cancel my driving license ๐Ÿ˜„ Despite the fact I suck at this game, it's a fun one, to bad there is no sound. Keep up the good work!

darkwolf 2023-10-20 07:56

The game is a great idea, but the controls feel like they need a little work. The feature of doing a clean 180 when turning while reversing is cool, but it felt like it got in the way more than helped. Maybe that could be on a separate button? The other thing is that the edge feel surprisingly punishing. All of my death happened by falling off before I lost any tiles. I'm not sure what the solution would be, but perhaps having the camera follow the player would give more intuitive control and a better sense of space? Overall a fun game but with challenging controls.
