I couldn't launch the .exe, you might need to reupload with assets
Foon → Ludum Dare Explorer → LD53 → Warehouse Tycoon

I absolutely loved the aesthetic and the concept overall, great work!! if you want you can also check my game i would really appreciate it :D
@sarah-pederson Yes you were right thank you. I think it might work now!
I felt very at peace with the rain and sorting packages, you made a very smooth playing game.
One thing I think that can be improved is the button tier sizes. Easy fix would be to have 3 pluses on the largest package button, 2 on the medium, and only one on the small to make the tiers clear.
@soulreviews Thanks man, replaying it I think you're right it would've been clearer. I also feel like I could've made it even more peaceful by decluttering it a bit, making those UI elements generally smaller and less in the way.
Love the rainy atmosphere and gameplay is smooth and fun. Any game that's Tetris but cooler is a great game in my books.
Very cool game, i really like it. But there was a problem, when i almost made ideal truck with 10 modifier, but small box was made from 2 tiles instead of 3. Everything else is cool
A very good game, a take too mush time to get only 10 points :D
@thesecondleft aaah yes, the idea here was that you could delete some other shapes (lose 50 points) and then try calling a new one. But I didn't communicate at all that deleting old shapes would let you press the buttons again. Maybe a little text showing up once you can't call for anymore buttons at all would've worked?
Probably my favorite so far, looks so polished for a jam game. The ui and audio are wonderful, bit of an old concept but a nice twist on it. Congratulation!
@e-polygon awww thanks a lot man
A very polished game that I find very relaxing to play (I could probably keep playing for hours). I found the UI very intuitive, especially with the tooltips. For the controls I would have maybe labeled [Left Mouse] as "Click Button/Drag-and-drop" to clarify.
Also I have noticed there is a bug with the parcels snapping to the grid: When placing stuff on the back bumper it's not in the truck so gets left behind. If there is only one row of space, a two-wide parcel cannot be place there, however by letting it go at the right position between bumper and last row, it will sometimes snap to the position of being half inside the truck. The parcel doesn't count towards income, but it messes up the allignment of all the other parcels, making the placement of subsequent parcels look a bit wonky. This doesn't really affect my rating of the game (I still find it adorable), just wanted to let you know :)
@moritz-b Damn ye didn't see that one I tried my best to avoid that sort of bug, especially with the way I code the drag and drop it can be a little challenging. There's other general problems sometimes where the placement will be slightly off and all you need to do is replace it at the same location to fix it, but these are just not easily reproducible so eventually I moved on trying to debug it. Like you said, doesn't ruin the game. Thanks tho I you're definitely right about the label (better than "move" lol)
This puzzle game is that special blend of "easy to learn, difficult to master" that I love to play puzzle games for! Plus, the graphics and visuals come together to complement the game so perfectly! I managed to get to round 13, but I'd love to keep playing in the future!
Really cool game, I managed to get one round where I filled the truck completely and it felt really great! Great ambience and atmosphere. Idk if it's my headache from staying up all night to finish our game but the placing sounds really hurt my ears haha. Might just be me
Can't get it to play under CrossOver on OS X -- if that ever gets sorted out I'd love to give it a go!
So relaxing and chill. Clean visual with the calm color palette. Rain sounds are very peaceful. Immaculate vibes 😗👌
@frabjous-studios Ye Godot refuses to make it run on web without it. Maybe some other browser?
I had some struggles with understanding the Mac export on Godot, unfortunately, it seems it won't let me make a version that wouldn't pass the GateKeeper. Idk much about MacOS but apparently that's something you can disable, I understand if you don't want to. Regardless I uploaded a file on the itch.io page for that.
Super relaxing to play and a nice little challenge. Brought back memories of playing carpentry in puzzle pirates all those years ago. Awesome game! :)
Very cool concept! I liked the art and simplicity of it while slowing building upon it.
I think there is even room to expand the idea post-jam. Maybe fragile objects that can only be moved once? or ones that have to be on top as not to get crushed.
Regardless, great game :)
I love the pixel art! Great entry
@acarc yesss I had the fragile box idea as well, but I opted to polish everything else instead since it would've probably meant quite a lot of code (my initial idea was to check that nothing is above it, but I think I prefer your idea much better, would've been much easier to code as well lol)
I liked everything about the game, it's very polished and a great way to pass the time. I'm not sure if there's any logic behind the fuel value, but I found it a bit excessive when the fuel value came up as -1800. Also, there was a visual bug where parts of two boxes occupied the same space. This usually happened when I clicked the button to send a box multiple times and there wasn't enough space for more boxes, but it didn't ruin my experience. In short, it's an excellent game.
@gmstochetto yes the fuel isn't random, each truck there's a predefined fuel value and likelihood of getting unflippable boxes up to a certain amount, eventually it starts repeating and the game becomes more of an "how long can you survive" type of stuff. 1800 is the highest it ever goes I think. Thanks for the nice review tho!
Outstanding entry! No notes on this!
Nice entry! Everything looks really polished, not my genre but super-relaxing and enjoable.
Incredibly well scoped and polished jam game. Was activating the Tetris part of my brain. Amazing art and wonderful visual and audio feedback for interactions. The sound effects and art together set such a great mood. I wish there was music to go with it but honestly it was great with the just the hum of the truck and the tactile sounds of the buttons and boxes. I love the cool color scheme for the background. It really made the boxes pop. Fantastic job! This was my score: boxes.PNG
A very relaxing game! Art and rain is lovely and the take on tetris style stacking is cool with the different sizes. Very neat decision making the small ones pay nothing - I learned that the hard way the first few times haha.
@paul-avallone I completely agree for the music, I even have some experience improvising lofi-type stuff but I was worried I would lose too much time making it loop or sound good. I thought my time would be better spent polishing what I already had. Plus people usually end up muting all sounds unless the music is good and non repetitive and I was happy with my other sounds. Glad you loved it and ye order 8 and 9 are a little tough haha
@teshma Yeees I wish I had a better way of communicating that, perhaps a tutorial section, but there's only so much to do in 3 days. I'm still proud of the balance, the idea was that I obviously wanna encourage people to use bigger boxes, the smaller ones are just here to help you get a multiplier essentially and nothing else
It is a really nice game. Made a relaxing afterlunch time. Would have like some lo-fi music in the background in the game, but cant ask much for 3 days I guess :P. Beside that amazing entry!
I really liked the game's art, it's very polished and clean! The gameplay is smooth, and I found it very fun to have to manage the spaces like Tetris. I spent a lot of time trying to make perfect deliveries with all the boxes in the truck. I liked the simple and straightforward tutorial through the "?" icon too! Overall, great job and congratulations on the game! ヽ(o^▽^o)ノ
Thanks for the web port! Our team brainstormed a similar idea and I thought there is no way we'll finish in time. Here you are showing that it can be done, and done well! I couldn't stop stacking boxes. As someone that used to do this type of work, I didn't think I could have fun with it as a game, but I did. Great job!
Very cool puzzle game. Great art and vibe. I spent a while just chilling and putting boxes into the back of the truck. I have a feeling that being the foreman on a loading dock in real life isn't this chill of a vibe. But it makes for a great jam game! Awesome work!
I really liked the packing mechanics! It felt like what you always hear when you say you're good at tetris, "you must be good at packing". Well it's really a lot different but super fun as well! Great job
This was a lot of fun! I always enjoyed organizing things so I really enjoyed my time here! The art is also pretty good too! One criticism though, the more boxes you place the worse it runs so if you do work on this some more I would address that! Other then that this is awesome!
Cool and addictive game. Simple mechanics but works great, good job :)
Such a cute game. Found myself absentmindedly playing and stacking boxes for a good half hour, it's as immersive as any game should be. Super cute, super relaxing, well done!
Great puzzle game, the sound effects are very relaxing! I don't have much else to say except that it can be a bit frustrating when the last piece leaves you with a 1 block gap and forces you to throw a piece away. Congrats on your first solo jam!
Very good game, I could be playing for hours (and I have spent at least 30-40min on it). I mean, graphics are good, tetris is always fun, the atmosphere is relaxing... BUT that damn "wrong placement" sound ! I cannot suffer it. Every time I get confident, I don't look at the the truck and place the block where it can't go and !!!!!! That sound surprises me every damn time.
Still, very good and polished game. Congrats !
very fun game! i kept replaying it just trying to beat my high score, I ended up with a max of 8
I would love to try it. It looks very fun from the concept point of view. I couldn't launch the player on itch though. I think itch recommends not to auto-start your game with page load. I would come back and try later, might be my laptop problem :D
Very fun. The moving game for people who don't want to actually move lol. Some more special boxes could be really cool. Best I could do was bankrupt at 9. Great job overall!
@skitefall itch recommends that for unity I don't think they mention it for other engines. Might be a MacOS problem? I know the buffer thing that's required to run on browser doesn't seem to work on Mac. Unfortunately best I could do was make a downloadable file which requires you to deactivate some threat protection on your side which honestly I don't recommend you necessarily do either. I'm on Linux so I try my best with compatibility and understand how annoying it is but I was beat there sorry.
Spectacular idea! It's a tetris revolution but with the theme applied to the maximum! I have had to squeeze my head many times because I wanted to fill the truck to the maximum. The possibilities are endless! Great game!
This was really quite neat, a very nice implementation of this puzzle type. It took me longer than I'd like to admit that some boxes just COULDNT be rotated :joy:
Suuuuper happy with that score! Thank you everyone for the kind reviews, see you next year!
