Great game! Loved the retro-style graphics and the faces on the characters :D (not so much the skybox), the game is engaging and fun, the only thing i find unnecessary its the deadline mechanic! great job!

tomas-selmeci 2023-05-02 19:54

Wow very well put together, somehow the faces merge wit hthe graphics and the reactions are awesome! gj

This is a creative take on the theme! I had fun playing it and trying my best to keep my head. The one thing I struggled with is understanding what the king's mood means. I think if you can hover over them and look up what their effects are, it'd make the game more puzzle like and less trial-and-error. Good work!

Had to play this one after watching it on a stream, love these kinds of social deduction puzzles a-la Reigns. Also, first game I noticed using "Delivery" in this sense- brilliant!

jackaljk 2023-05-02 20:36

Absolutely loved it! Great take on the theme, very fun and strategic. This can be turned into so many different situations, like talking to your boss, wife, patient, ... it has a lot of potential. I love how meme-like the graphics are but if you want to turn this into a hit for the general populace you might want to rethink the presentation :P Great job guys!

this game was really interesting! really cool take on the theme and fun gameplay loop! Wish it was a little harder (i only died once on the final act) still really creative!

HOLY KING's SANDWICH! I still have my head 4/5

bauke-regnerus 2023-05-03 12:05

Absolutely my type of game. Great little narrative worked really well and I felt like my choices mattered. At the start there's some sense of figuring it out. The face mappings on the model are brilliant. XD

danielshershnev2game1 2023-05-03 13:37

It seemed to me that I am this guy who brings messages to the king! When the king was angry, I was scared, when I was happy, I calmed down! A very well thought out game! Thanks!

svenerik 2023-05-04 15:09

Well that was quite the experience, a really great submission, standing out a lot. I loved how the narrative and the game overall worked and the faces.. they were great haha. Marvelous overall aesthetic going along with it, this would be really fabulous to see if fully polished out and some content added~ Awesome work!

I love when games try the non-obvious interpretation of the theme (unlike my game ๐Ÿ˜…). The fool/joker is my spirit animal ๐Ÿƒ

janures 2023-05-05 13:10

This is wonderful.

What a fantastic submission! We had a similar thought of a delivering news to your king during our early ideation on Friday night, but we couldn't figure out a way to make the idea engaging and fun. But you folks nailed it perfectly! I unfortunately had bad RNG the first time I played and (as far as I could tell) was doomed to failure with nothing but bad news from the start. But after that first game, things seemed much better balanced and I had a great time playing through the acts. I really liked how all of the pieces fit well together, and it felt like the order in which you delivered the news really mattered. I hope you get a lot more ratings, you deserve it!

Such an interesting take on the theme, and really nice execution as well! I enjoyed playing it on stream ^^ here's the VOD: https://www.twitch.tv/videos/1814982163

wolfier 2023-05-08 22:27

I told the king the weather was nice so he chopped my head off. Alright then.

I kinda think that its not clear what news will proc with which moods

austin-sierra 2023-05-09 01:25

King had the most stressful life ever! I enjoyed timing the news with how he felt each day. I never came close to running out of time though.

rodrigo-denubila 2023-05-09 04:01

I really liked your interpretation of the theme! And it's really well executed. Good job!

poshdan 2023-05-18 15:23

This is a fairly unique concept! Initially I had a bit of difficulty anticipating the effects for the news I was delivering, but I improved with time. It was very funny to withhold the news of an invasion from the king for several days! I had a lot of fun sticking my thumb into royal drama, well done!
