Good mindless clicky clicky fun. The game elements block each other though, can't see what's behind the tractor or the shed.

Good mindless clicky clicky fun. The game elements block each other though, can't see what's behind the tractor or the shed.
Just what I need after 72 hours of stress :relieved:
I think there's a lot of good elements setup here, but they don't quite carry through well with the gameplay - There wasn't enough feedback from the upgrades other than watering to tell exactly what the upgrades were doing, and they blocked the view of the turnips a lot. Instead of clicking on a turnip, just holding down click and hovering over the turnips would have helped greatly, especially as the farm expanded. The vibe was great with good art work, music and radio chatter!
Very cute. The only trouble I had was that after a certain point it wouldn't add any more plots, but still took my money. I could still buy all the other things, just not plots. edit: Ok, now that I have played it a bit longer, I see that may have been partly by design, the problem being that when you can't get them anymore, you can still pay for them, you just get nothing. might want to fix that. other than that, love it. Love the unexpected turn as it progresses. This is a really fun little game, and I hope it gets the attention it deserves.
Lovely. Almost gave up during the early game before I found the tooltips and the farmhand automation. Then I spent two more hours playing instead. Delightful. Needs camera rotation. Also, I believe cities were meant to provide workers, because nothing in the chain talked about them except apartments, but building enough apartments to make one robot factory is nearly impossible because their price increases well over a city before you even get halfway to the robot factory's worker cost. I wanted to see the ultra silos and optimized plots! Cute and addicting.
Oh man, that was fun. I couldn't see if I was getting any robots though, so I couldn't reach any more milestones after a while. Not sure what happened there, but it was an enjoyable experience overall, and very funny too.
really cute game. with these types of games, it's so important that the gameplay is deeply satisfying, which this game definitely is. i loved watching the turnips grow; the sparkles when they finished was the best dopamine hit :D one piece of feedback would be to allow the player to move their builds after they make it and be able to pick where things go.
otherwise, simple game that was surprisingly addicting :) would appreciate your feedback on our game as well!
I really love the logo! I liked the simple gameplay design, like you don't have to worry about where to place things, the game worries about that for you! I had to do a lot of clicking though! Simple and addicting, great job!
Really nice and relaxing game :) My only issue was that I went through one annoying section where I accidentally made two power plants before I actually needed the electricity and they started taking away my turnips more quickly than I was selling them (for some reason they kept using turnips even though my energy was full). Eventually I managed to pass through this section by continuously clicking on the shop to not let the power plant take away any of my turnips...
In any case I had a really nice time with this game and played for much longer than I expected. Thank you for making the game! :)
I'm beginning to understand how people playing my clicker game feel... Actually I feel like your game has a longer tech tree which is something I was sad I didn't have time for. Anyway this is a really solidly balanced and nicely designed clicker, I really appreciate the humour, the radio station is a very clever idea. Only issues I have are that there's no way to pan around and the art feeling a little undirected and not entirely thought out. The TurnipCo store often blocks the view of things behind it making it hard to read.
All around though a really solid jam entry and one that I'm still actively enjoying after about an hour of play well done!
also I would appreciate a mute button, the music is great but there's a point where it gets pretty repetitive.
Really nice game. I played for way longer than expected. It started out kinda slow, but once it got going I was hooked. I liked how the music changed and the radio bits were a nice touch. Currently saving up for a Green House.
Update: Played for a while. I think the amount of workers needed for the robot facility is 10x more then it should be. It also seems like the robot factory might be broken. Still had a lot of fun playing the game.

The robot factory is indeed broken. It requires 500 power to operate, but there's no way to increase the cap. So you cannot get robots. Our game designer, who joined ~48h into the jam, had intended that power plants would give power once upon building and power consuming buildings cost power to build, but not to operate. Unfortunately it did not get implemented like that. We also did not get around balancing the cost of the robot factory.
And then I found myself selling turnips at 2am. Thank you very much! >:( But in all seriousness - great game!
Haven't seen the robot, but it's really a very fun game. tem.png
Really liked the graphics in this game.
Wow, what a game for a game jam... Well done! Was kind of bummed to learn that the robot factories don't work, since I had a bunch of fun playing and trying to get to that point. I think my biggest annoyance was not knowing what most of the upgrades *actually* do. The flavour text gives a hint but it's not always clear. But otherwise, yeah, great job!
Well I maxed out my farm, probably would have ended up going ages if space wasn't limited. Games like this are too effective on me 😄
I really liked the look of the watering, sprouting, growing and eventual rapture to heaven of the turnips
From what I'm reading here, robots don't technically exist due to bugs and/or implementation issues, and it says optimization plots require robots. (Somehow, I haven't unlocked Robot Factory or Ultra Silo yet - mine goes city -> optimization plot, lol). So I'll call it quits here, I think I've played it a good amount of time and heard 3 different nice music tracks.

I wish there were some kind of stats of how many buildings I owned, or like a turnips per second, or etc. I wasn't really sure what Apartment Building, City, TurniPlastic Factory were doing. I think TurniPlastic Factory is making the weird square turnips, but those only started showing up after I bought a lot of them. Likewise the little green alien people who didn't instantly appear but did show up eventually...
I wish the things on the left had a hover-over tooltip the way the buildings did, lol.
I really liked this. I'd have kept playing if I hadn't known in advance from the comments that the robot factories don't work.
Relaxing and has lots of content. Good job mate!
That's an extremely impressive game for a jam!
Never expected it to be this deep and polished.
My only minor nitpick is that I would've preferred at least some feedback in the beginning, like, where to click, did my click do anything or not and so on. Some audio-visual hints.
Really fun and addicting, I think there's definitely a lot more work to be done, especially when it comes to more feedback with manually clicking the crops and a way to pan the camera would be a huge improvement. But, it's a really good base for something more. I played for about an hour straight and this is how far I got.

I'm playing the HTML5 version so the game screen started flickering and lagging hard at this point, I also understand the robots are broken, so I decided to stop here. Really cool, though!
Hey, I was impressed with this game. Started out kinda relaxing like you suggested and I thought it wasn't really going to get more entertaining, but it was cool seeing the balance of things as you added more stuff.
I played for an hour or more...the constant clicking reminded me of Insaniquarium from back in the day and the zooming out and seeing things get smaller reminded me of Katamari Damacy. I am bummed to see that there are glitches that prevent the game from progressing, but that's how it goes. The humor was decent as well, "Josh Joshington"
Super cute! I got addicted fast! I had to just put it down so I could play other games. I didn't want to stop! Will be picking back up later. Only issue is the randomized placement of tiles, sometimes something big covers the plots and making it impossible to click them... which is solved by having farm hands of course. Great job!
