Cant play this one unfortunately, looks like the download link isnt working.
But that title screen looks amazing lmao
i wish I could play it, but the download link isn't working unfortunately :(
@dgo @phantom49 Happy you found the game! We've added a Google drive download option as well, hope that works for you!
Cute graphics! The art style fit nicely together, and I liked the animations for the player fox and the rabbits :)
I was only able to water the plant 5? times before getting overwhelmed- it's nice that you have to choose between getting rocks or the water bucket at times. I did notice that you can somewhat cheese the game by simply grabbing the water and hugging the plant though!
Great game! Love the fox 🦊❤️
Cute game, love the fox! Those rabbits are tricky
Cute/funny game, I enjoyed it. Maybe some sound effects and/or music will improve the game.
Cute game and love the art (got overwhelmed by all those bunnies very quickly though hahaha)! Would be even better with some background music/audio effects. :)
I liked the concept, as I often have to fend off critters from my own garden irl. I need to play this again, now that I know I can use the water to make the plant grow. For whatever reason, my brain went straight to trying to pour the water down the holes to drown the bunnies... I wonder what that says about me...
But in any case, I think the game needs some balancing - which I wouldn't expect you to nail down in such a short amount of time; this is more of a comment if you plan on developing this further. The bunnies were very overwhelming very quickly for me as they multiplied exponentially, even if I managed to kill them all in the previous round. I'm not sure what the answer would be here -- perhaps since the rocks get destroyed over time anyway, give us the opportunity to grab more than 2 rocks in later rounds?
Pretty good idea! The movement was a little frustrating at times, mainly because I felt helpless being on one side of the plant. That being said, it was pretty entertaining to play and strategize to protect the plant
Very funny and with a really unique loop. I really like the wall building idea! One variation I think might be interesting to explore is if the bunnies only attack the wall if there is no other path to the plant. This way the player would have to create a "maze" for the bunnies to take- sort of like in a Tower Defense.
Really cute! I wish the plant's hitbox would be a little more clear tho
Excellent artwork, even minimal sound FX would've helped communicate gameplay. I wish the water + rocks = wall mechanic was explained earlier, otherwise it was pretty clear. The hand drawn title font and name were the highpoint for me, although I enjoyed my time with the rest of it.
The little buns kept bashing through my solid stone walls. I'm scared
Cute though I kept dying. Having only either stones or water (usually not enough time to get both) seemed limiting.
bnuy
They're very cute and sweet and I almost don't even want to keep the bnuys out!
You had me at "Fox building walls to save a plant during the bunny apocalypse"
Really nice visuals. Could use some more visual/audio feedback on hat is going on (some more, even simple, animations and SFX), as well as some music to flesh out the world. The game gets quite hard later, as the bunny explosions are enoooormous.
Super cute game! I wasn't exactly the bunnies to multiply so rapidly, but I think that just added a lot of fun chaos to the game. It gets really hard towards the end, so I would have loved to be able to place more rocks later or have a way to heal my plant, as well as audio to let me know when my plant was getting chewed on. Nice work!
Fun game
I knew it. Bunnies are pure evil. Their art is cute though.
I appreciate that I could carry both rocks and water. I don't know why I didn't think to try this in my first play. The way the game has 2 alternating phases is really nice.
I think a less difficult version of this would be really fun for kids, obviously the tyranny of this 10 second theme makes it hard to do that right now.
Good job, but the game could use a tutorial (we ourselves always do not have time to make tutorials on LD)
Nice game, i ws supprised how fast the rabbits multiply (altho thats what these beasts are known for ;) )
Really likes it
Really cute art style! And a cool game in general. It was fun to try it out. I just wish there was music :) Anyway, good job!
Cool game! It has some small scope but it does a lot with that scope. I felt the difficulty balance was nicely designed. I had to take some risks and make some tough choices, and even then I didn't QUITE get the plant all the way to the top.
The art looked nice, and it also communicated effectively what was going on. For example, it was really clear when the plant was hit by a rabbit, which was really important to understand as a player learning the game.
The choice to show the rabbits go into little holes, and to have the previous-round rabbits come back, those were both good design choices too.
So a lot of smart ideas in this small entry! I do thin it would be a lot more exciting to play with a few sound effects and some other "juice". I see this is your first LD, so it's a great start and maybe you can work on some of those bonus-type skills in the future! If you haven't seen them, there are two talks on youtube that everybody likes, called "juice it or lose it" and "the art of screenshake." Check em out if you haven't, and you're curious about nice small touches to add.
Nice entry!
