Pretty strange game, but it was really good, especially the art!!
Yes, this game is a little strange, but quite complete, with some pretty cool visuals and a lot of work on detail! I wish our games had gone this far! Well done to you!
Not my type of game, but the art and setting are amazing
In my opinion, you could add more animation to you character.
Well done on the graphics and presentation! It's a weird game and it took me some time before I kinda understand-ish what was going on. XD
Took me a few minutes to understand what was happening enough to make progress. Very creative and nice witchy vibe.
Love the visuals! Having to strategize on the fly is fun.
I really love the art and sound design of this game, the character design of the cat is great and I really like the concept of growing these planes of reality, unfortunately the RNG based nature of the game mechanics gets a little tedious and watching animations play out takes a long time which makes the game pretty frustrating to actually play.
Love the art!
Really challenging, with unique style and good lore
The art was really nice, and the music set the mood really well. I just found the gameplay kind of unengaging. I didn't find a lot of like, important, hard decisions in the game, where I thought maybe that would've been fun.
I really like the artwork and watching elemental world grow. But I still wonder what does the symbol means at the belly of the cat?
Love the art and the game is really interesting. Great job !!
Great art and sound/music design, but it's a rather complex game, if not rather confusing. It feels like it would be really interesting and more compelling if given a bit more time and fleshign out the dynamics.
But I loved the lore and worldbuilding, and it's very intriguing! I'd definitely want to see what you folks would achieve with it given more time available.
It was hard to get into but when it clicked it was a fun experience. Audio and art are amazing nice work.
i wish i could get what was happening it is a real good looking game art is fantastic but i cant seem to grasp why do i succeed or fail all in all good work
As others have said, the audiovisual aesthetic really sells this game. The art is great, but the music is especially fitting and sets a particular mood that this game has, making the game feel that much more cohesive. The gameplay is hard to get into simply because text tutorials are really ineffective in general, and that criticism has nothing to do with your game or implementation specifically. Clearly there are a lot of mechanics to explain, and you have limited time, so I understand that designing more active, well-paced tutorials would eat up a lot of time. But I think at the end of the day it would be worth it to either come up with tutorials that require players to perform actions in game in order to teach them, or simplify the mechanics, or both. Another simple change would be to leave a shortened form of the tutorial information on screen as you play the game, so players don't have to remember everything they read. That being said, I thought the text and presentation of the tutorials was actually really beautiful, which again goes in line with the great audiovisual aesthetic you have going on here. Anyway, I rambled on enough, good job team!
I enjoyed the vibe of the game. Initially, the RNG punished me several times before I really understood how I could make a difference to the outcome of each run, but then things went better, I got more upgrade money, and it gave me a much better chance at fighting off the Chaos Cat. Could probably use a few tweaks to the RNG here and there, or to the game's feedback, so that there are more opportunities for the player to make meaningful choices, but overall a fun experience!
Not exactly the type of game i usually play, but damm the visuals are cool, great work ^^
I'm glad I stuck around to the end and figured it out, it was really cool! it's fun trying to come up with different strategies and coming to understand the mechanics <3
The art was AWESOME I love Chaos Kitty even if he's a lil mean xD
I think the rng is mostly fine, but I wish that you never lost progress with your upgrades. One idea is to set their fortune equal to what they spent last round if they have less this time
Example (since I don't think I'm explaining it well haha): Player spends 5 fortune on the staff upgrade and then loses and only has 1 fortune this time. I think just set their fortune back to 5 so they don't lose progress and can try a different strategy
I think the only other suggestion I had was making the orbs have more contrast from their unpowered state. sometimes it was hard to tell which ones was on. And also able to fast forward the rolling animation on the chaos kitty's belly
What a strange and complex game! I included it in my Ludum Dare 49 compilation video series, if you’d like to take a look. :) https://youtu.be/QOqT7v58gqA
I'm impressed as to how complex the game can become! audio and art are very well done and the mood is set right, I'm still a bit confused as to what to do to win (or give myself a better fighting chance ) : It would really do with a more visual tutorial along with the lore text (It took me some time to see the HP of each Elemental island for example)
Clever take to use entropy as the source of instability!

This one was a little confusing at first, but once I got the hang of it I had a great time eventually getting to the win-screen! This game also has fantastic visuals and audio to boot, y'all should be proud!
As a lot of people have said, I liked the graphics, audio and general mood a lot! But unfortunately I just really couldn't get into the game. The rules were hard to grasp, I found it difficult to understand the point of some of the gameplay mechanics, and the extremely random nature of the game made it a lot less fun for me.
