It was hard to know when i would lose (from too little water?). otherwise it was good, unique concept.

I love this game.

On the surface, it seems pretty simple; try to get your roots to connect to water and dirt to get the highest score. However, after playing my first game I got addicted. It's such a creative and unique idea that works so well with the theme. The graphics and the audio (banger music btw) work wonders for making this simple game so engaging and addicting. Well done!

Hey this is great! It took me a moment to realise that the timing of the click makes a difference but once I got into the swing of it, I had a blast!

Nice idea, i like pixel style graphics, and sounds are matched :)

Interesting concept, I have never played A game like this, until today. Nice game!

This is a really interesting idea. I had fun with it. It's neat seeing the roots branch off. I really like the retro graphics and audio--spot on.

I thought it was a little tedious having to wait for the right selection to appear, though I realize it's a pretty core mechanic. I also agree that it was a little hard to know the lose condition at first. I got the hang of it pretty fast though.

Nice work!

I'm not sure why I lost or the game restarted, but it's a cool concept. The randomizing roots are a neat idea, but in practice, they're more frustrating because they're so small and change so quickly. Thanks for making this! Cool project :)

it took me a while to finally figure out the game. Until I worked out what to do, it felt broken, but once I understood, I was off and running. The game could be somewhat addicting, and with the right graphics could wind up being a successful release. Congrats! good luck with the game jam!

Wow, this game is somewhat similar to what we made, but it ships with these nice Speccy graphics, so it's better by definition. I almost heard my mom yelling at me not to sit too close to the TV, as it's bad for my eyes. One more level, mom, I promise!

I really like your interpretation of the theme and the idea of the game! The audio is good, and the graphics work well for this kind of game. It's cool to see all of the giant roots branching out. The only thing that can be irritating is the randomness of the roots, which I feel slows down the pace of the game at times.

Took me a hot second to understand exactly what was going on but once I got the hang of it, talk about a sweet concept! A great spin on the like, drainpipe simulator(?) the graphics were sweet and paired up with the audio flawlessly. Fantastic entry homies <3

Fun little game. Took me a second to figure it out, but the concept is cool! Having more obstacles or something stopping you from making a reeeeeally long branch would be cool. Maybe not enemies, but if the player had a water gauge that they had to draw from to make more branches or something? Just an idea. I enjoyed playing though!

Really cool and creative game, I enjoyed playing it. It took me a bit to figure out what to do but then I was able to go to town. Would probably be good to have a game-over condition for when you have no loose ends left to grow from.

Very fun game, reminds me of the old games where you connect the pipes as a plumber... but in reverse?

haivron 2021-05-17 00:10

Cool little game with a unique take on the theme! Great art with clean UI; thirst level thingy around the cursor was hard to notice at first but that's probably the best spot to put that. Had fun playing it!

This is such a solid little game! I really like the simple aesthetics used for the water and roots. The gameplay is simple yet there is some mystery around the mechanics for mastery, sort of the way tetris works. I found myself playing a couple times without even noticing I had been at it for quite some time! Congrats! This is truly impressive game design wise and should be rated more!! <3 <3
