First of all welcome to the game jam family :two_hearts: I really enjoyed playing your game  The movement and the camera (movement) was so well done. While the Movement ist amazing, I had a really hard time to recover from when the ceiling hit me. I wish that after a hit, the game would slow down or spawn me further down, so that I had a chance to get back on track. But other than that... It's amazing what you have accomplished. I hope you had an amazing weekend building this
Nice game! I wish it was bigger on my screen as it is hard to see. I like the sound effects, and the game controls pretty smoothly. Maybe it is because I am not a mega pro gamer but I found it very fast and difficult. good work!
Very nice mood and quite addictive to play. Controls are great but buttons sometimes are to far from doors. It was fun to play but my highest score was only 24.
Nice! Very effective mechanics :) I too had some difficulties being fast enough Would be nice to be able to activate the buttons from a distance :)
Nice Game ! The mood is cool and it is addictive to beat score ! Sometimes the randomness was not very nice with me ^^ Making me go from one side to another one ! The only improvment poitn I would see is some safe time after a hit (or a shop ^^ I struggled hard to reach a shop and died just after being out of it) Congrats !

Really good job for this first jam! I found it really difficult but that's challenging this way. I liked the controls and effects (always love some camera shake). I managed to score 28!

Welcome to ludum dare! For your first entry and that you lost a day it turned out pretty well!! Still here some feedback: The speed of the camera is to fast, especially if you got damaged by it. You could slow the camera down after you get damage, so the player can recover from it. I liked the shop mechanic, but for me there were too less enemies or coins to get enough money.
Keep it up!

I love this game! Its really good fun and works really well, can tell a lot of thought has gone into it. It is quite difficult but that adds to the challenge and makes the game more addictive, managed to get a score of 48 after a few attempts :)

one of the most fun games i've played so far. and brutally hard. but in a good way, because i find that every time i play again i get a little further on. the screenshake is a nice touch. i'd love it if there were checkpoints or safe-zones where i could stop to take a breather. my highest score is 39!
Just like the others said. Awesome design and interesting features. The music is really immersive. But the speed!
Fun game and good scoper for a game jam! Easy to understand and get into and the music was really nice!

Really nicely done, you managed to get a good amount of polish done for losing so much time. Sound design is really nice

That was a lovely little game. It does what jam games do best, taking a really simple core concept and making a polished, fun game out of it. I've gotten my score to a little over 100 so far, though I'm still after a run where things work out for me to get those speed boots and see what difference they make.
Obviously it is brutally difficult, which I think is fine, though a little balancing in that regard may make it even better. I think giving the player just a tiny bit of extra time after hitting the ceiling would help a lot, for example. A lot of the time when I would hit the ceiling for the first time in a run it was physically impossible to recover from, I had to get lucky and have the level give me a lot of drops close together to make saving the run possible at that point. Giving players that little extra ability to struggle and get their run back on track could lead to a lot of great moments.
Overall though, really solid little game.
Thank you very much for your entry - I hope you had great fun making it
This is a really competent entry - I liked the look and feel  The mechanics worked really well ... I'm unfortunately a little to old AND slow to keep up with the pace ... Got down a couple of levels though
Controls felt good
Really really a solid job :thumbsup_tone1:
I hope you'll drop by mine and give it a spin

Ого, моя старая любимая игра Down! Ну, точнее, ее аналог! Хорошо вышло, молодец! Кстати, если бы пол открывался не нажатием Space на рычаге, а просто выстрелом, было бы поудобнее. Спасибо большое! ^_^

It's not clear what to do. And the game kills you quickly, if you don't know what to do.

Very nice looking game, a super polished execution!!. A few things I noticed that could be improved:
- When the camera catches you, you move 1 level below, which tends to be not really useful when the game is moving too fast, since you just can't do anything on the other layers and die anyway. Maybe you can increase that to 2 levels or stop the camera for a few secs to give time to restart your rythm - It'll be cool if switches could be activated remotely by shooting, sometimes you die becuase of the backtracking to the open door since the switch spawns very far from the door
It's a really fun game and very well done and polished, Congrats! :D
PS: I've just read this is your first jam!! Congrats on thaat!! This is amazing for a first jam, keep up the good work, you did great!! Be super proud of your game!
@kovi Really good feedback thanks so much. And thanks for playing, I think you beat my high score!
@webox Thanks a lot for the feedback! Those two things have been suggested the most so I'm definitely going to tweak it for the post jam version to get it just right.
Great entry! Specially for a first time! It is a bit unforgiving when you mess up, wish it would send you a few floors down instead of just one. Great atmosphere too!

the controls seemed alittle floaty and i was too fast to get down the small holes fast enough. but thats just my opinion

I enjoy the game and the graphics and audio really fits the game. However, i feel that the game is a bit too unforgiving. I am saying this from playing the game for a good 20 minutes (see screenshot)
1. The 1 gap collision is too tight for the game, and too punishing. If you missed those, you just lose the game. The door's gap is also sometimes quite unforgiving. 2. Forcing the player to trigger the switch at close range is too random when the switch and door is far away, that is almost a gameover due to chance. 3. The incentive to pick up gold is too low for the risk. 4. The camera is too fast. 5. Adding on to (4), and without considering the switches being far from the door, the time it takes to move from left to right is longer than the camera movement. I have died countless time due to the rng forcing me to move from left to right and right to left 3 times in a row
Due to how unforgiving the game is, I am not sure if many get to enjoy your other mechanic, like the shop mechanics.
Having said all these, this is really a good game for your first jam :D. Good Job. I rarely play a game jam game for more than 10 minutes, and this is one of those few. I also rarely write such a long comment.
(I also discover a bug that slows down the game lol, not sure if that was intended. if that was the original speed that the game is in, then it is actually quite enjoyable)

There are some pretty evil layouts, like the button that spawns far away, and normally the moment I take damage, I completly lose the rest of my health, making the hearts not worth it to go for. To change this I would make it so you respawn a bit down (instead of top of the screen again) where you have a chance to comeback. Other than that, pretty solid game, I liked it!

Congratulations on your first LD game! Both the music and the art style are awesome. The same goes for the game mechanics. Simple but addictive. My only complaint would be the speed you start at. Maybe if the speed increases from slow to really fast, it will be a little easier for the player because now it's hard to keep up with the screen! Overall, great job!
@jcmonkey Thanks, trying to get that correct balance of you not being able to really easily fit down the one wide holes is a bit tricky, thanks for playing though!
@zwodahs Wow, thanks for all that feedback, extremely valuable and I think very accurate! I'm definitely going to upload a post jam version of the game with these extra bits sorted. You've also beaten my high score!
@bicheste Glad you liked it! Yes, the button placement needs a bit of work, if you're unlucky it can basically mean you lose the game - something for me to work on!
@zimny11 Thanks! I planned to have it slowly increasing the speed more, but I think I got so used to my own game that I forgot how brutal it could be at the start!
I really liked the effects in this game - subtle but noticeable. The sound effects and music are both good. There weren't any bugs in the game (that I noticed, at least.) Sometimes, there was too big a space from the button to the trapdoor, which was almost a game-breaker. If you could shoot the buttons instead of having to be near them, that would help fix the problem. After a while, I was able to get a score of 39. This is a solid game!
Congratulations on your first jam, hope you enjoyed it!
Fun game. The buttons could be a bit tricky from time to time, but besides that it was quite enjoyable.

Nice job. I reported the commenter who was a #### to you on itch. Well done for staying as polite as you did :)
Great job for a first jam. The art is nicely done, wish I could have full screened to see it better, gameplay works well although the switches seem a bit finicky sometimes. Solid effort.
