Hey, You need to build your game and upload a playable version of it. If possible create a itch.io page and upload an HTLM5 version of your game there.
Foon → Ludum Dare Explorer → LD47 → Catch the Higgs boson

Heh.. Thanks for feedback. I'll probably finish it and publish somewhere. Not sure about HTML5 however =)
You probably need to set your itch.io project to public.
@cinar fixed. thanks!
Thanks to the included source code I could take a look what the energy goal actually is ;) For anyone interested: catch-the-higgs-boson.PNG
Before I looked it up, I thought I had to have one particle on each vertex and was surprised I did not solve it.
A nice puzzle!
cool idea for a game. Fun gameplay. Graphics can be improved a bit. But GJ.
Nice POC
Really fun concept for a puzzle game. I wish the clickable dots were a bit bigger so it would be easier to interact with them.
I found it! :laughing: I really like this concept, and I wish there were more physics-y games around in Ludum Dare. Playing this evoked thermodynamics very well, this concept of why two sides of a container reach an equilibrium, and in this case you literally got to play Maxwell's Demon!
One thing that I wish was more developed was the inner loop for trapping particles, but off the top of my head I don't have a more concrete idea either.
I also saw this was your first LD, so I just wanted to say welcome and I hope you had fun, and looking forward to the next one!
@udo huh.. Yeah.. I wish to take part in LD long time ago. It is the first time I could do that =) About inner loop - yeah.. I am thinking of some sectors where you could trap the particles. Many other ideas came to my mind later however the time is limited. Anyways it was my first Ludum Dare and it was fun!
Thanks for your feedback!
nice game but you can make image size big they are too small right now
Neat idea! I wish it was a little bit zoomed in though, the pink dots are a bit hard to see.
Clever, clever concept! The uniqueness of this game is something that can't go understated and deserves praise. Really awesome work for something I see is your first game jam - congratulations!
Nice use of the theme in the puzzle concept. Agree with others that it should be a bit larger (hard to click on the dots). I spent a while trying to decide if there's a rule for which way a particle is going to go at an intersection, and ... I think it's random? Would be great if different particles had a different "spin" -- pink ones go clockwise, yellow counter-clockwise -- so the player can develop a strategy on leaving a node open because the approaching particle is going to spin "in" rather than "out". Fun entry!
@11thpenguin Oh.. The idea to have some spin is great! I'll implement it later. Thanks! Yeah.. now they are going in random direction.
@madbookstudios Thank you :)
Fun and unusual idea for a puzzle game. Nice work! :)
The idea is simple and pretty fun. More levels, better graphics and some music would all be great, but what is here is okay.
Hi, there! Nice entry! Overall, the execution is very basic, but the idea is fresh to me. I like the concept behind the game (finding Higgs boson) and the main mechanics looks somehow experimental. But on the other side the I didn't use the green circles in the center of the field and I think the game is unbalanced. So, if you want you may develop and improve the game further.
Very nice puzzle concept) I'm guessing your first time in unity? If so - very good. Keep at it!
@enderr42 No..Actually I'm a unity dev =) Just spent 8 hours for everything instead of 48 =))) Thanx anyway! =)
I did it! I found it! :) I wish nodes woud be a bit bigger, but I like puzzles too much so I kept doing. Nice concept!
Nice little concept, that gets more and more fun the more you accumulate bullets. The single level available is already nice and fun by itself. Great job doing something fun in so little time !
Strengths : - Simple gameplay that gets more and more interesting fast - Good puzzle/level design
Possible improvements : - I guess that's a given since you only had 8 hours, but visually, it's a bit barren
All in all, fun entry ! I would love to see what you could do by using the full jam timespan.
@jlv Thanks for such comprehensive feedback! =)
I enjoyed this mechanic. It was simple enough to be intuitive, but challenging enough to be interesting. I found myself having a lot of "almost got it!" moments, which is pretty fun. Like others said I had some trouble clicking the green / red circles, so it would have been nice to have a bigger game window, or at least more forging click hitboxes. But overall this was fun and I enjoyed playing through it, so great job!
Really cool concept. The mechanics are quite simple and intuitive. Liked playing through it.
A neat idea! As others have said, it'd be nice to have a bit more strategy available - the spin idea sounds very interesting.
I like the novelty of the game. I think the idea could have a little more depth if you could predict which path particles would take from a node so you could make some interesting cycles or paths or something. my general strategy right now is just to close all the nodes with a path out and open them the second a particle needs to come in. In any case, well done!
