@designernap thanks for your rewiew. We will work hard on next jam
This is pretty nice, and the artists did a great job on the graphics.
I love the animation on the character. Too bad there I can't do anything with my inventory full of logs and rocks. It would be good to use the mouse to select an item on the the quick bar, as everything else can be mouse controlled. Also perhaps holding the mouse button to hit continually would be better. Too much clicking involved. I like that you included a dev log with the credits.
Reminds me a little bit of Runescape. Could be a good starting point for that kind of game.
Although I'm not exactly an expert artist, one thing I always recommend is to never ever combine multiple resolutions of pixel art. It almost always looks a little off. It might be acceptable when it's different between the game and the UI but aside from that I think it's generally a mistake.
Despite the fact that you miss time, the visual aspect is cute. The "in shadow" effect works fine. Thank you for your game
Cute little game, the graphics were nice. Good job with the inventory! Im still trying to figure out how to make one in unity, all I know is you should use a tilemap...
@moddingmachine Here are inventory code, feel free to use it https://github.com/Team-on/LD45/tree/master/LD45/Assets/Scripts/Game/Inventory
When webgl version fix, could you write me?
@team-on Thx so much!
cool idea!! keep improving graphics otherwise game is nice
The pixel art is great; I love the fire animations. It'd be nice to break things by either clicking once or click and hold.
I really liked it.
The art was pretty nice. I wasn't really sure what the objective was. Left click moving the character and camera was a little disorienting since it would move the frame of reference for any items you were attempting to interact with. The inventory and item interaction seemed functional, I'm not a fan of rapid clicking but the mentioned "rpg battle system" might be neat to see implemented to work with the other game mechanics.
the art and the feel was pretty nice!! But I was not sure what to do with my rock and my wood!
I loved the art in this one :) Also the inventory system was quite nice and worked pretty well.
Cute graphics
Good job with the inventory system and the general mechanics. I could not figure out what to do with my rocks and wood however.
Lots of map available to run around in. The artwork is nice. Controls are easy to work with. Nicely done.
Great job! I would like to see this developed more. I found the darkness where you exit the map. I do enjoy a little survival in the void.
Very moody game and I really like the art style. Controls feel pretty good. Some particle effects could be nice when mining stone and chopping trees. Other than that great job on the submission!
Interesting, but too overscoped for ludum dare, therefore lots of missing pieces of the puzzle. Great start, though.
a button to collect would have been perfect, but as it is, it is still fun to play :)
“Impressive game, Very cool concepts. I left wishing that there is more. Had a lot of fun “
Obviously, the game is not finished yet, but still, there are a lot of things to admire
I liked the 2D graphics and animations. When the character moves, the item they hold also swings naturally.
Inventory system also seems promising, but currently, it lacks a few features and has some bugs. * Sometimes I have to press multiple times to change the active slot * It would be nice to drop items when you drag them outside the inventory UI * When you hover an item and let's say a tree is under the mouse it is highlighted with yellow, which looks confusing (see screenshot below)
Inventory issue
Also, I managed to get out of the map and go to the dark nothingness
Outside the map
Could be a start of something great :)
The graphics and visuals are wonderful but obviously the game-play could use some work. Typically I would recommend not to attempt to build a crafting type game during a jam but you do have the start of something cool! I also like that you included a how to play screen which is surprisingly missing from a lot of entries.
Cool concept
Things I didn't like: * Lots of typos, both here on the site and ingame
* If you keep clicking on the resources, you keep hitting it forever. It only gets destroyed if you stop clicking
* If you keep walking upwards you get out of the map into the blackness lol
* I was very confused to what to do with the resources that I collected and if I could interact with the mouthed box
Things I liked * The art and animation are really beautiful!
* The mood is set nicely
Hey that dwarf really looks like the one from my itch store!
@elthen Sorry, the artists didn’t aware me that we have assets from store. Can you provide link to your page? I`ll mention you *Thanks for assets* section.
