The camera was kind of awkward but I really liked the art and the chickens. It was too difficult for me though, I couldn't beat it even after several tries.

Very neat. Initial view was a bit awkward and I felt like I didn't get a chance to try out some of the beefier characters. Bigger levels! Longer paths! Flag repairs? Lots of possibilities for a nice quick game, like a tablet or web portal game, or even more if fleshed out. Nice work!

@ghostmaple thanks for the review. I would love to make the camera more organic, but cant think of better controls, maybe u got some idea.

Already thought that maybe a destroyed flag belongs to the enemey and can therefor be recaptured?

Btw its already kind of playable on Smartphone & tabletScreenshot_20180814-104425.png

Love the look of this game! I lost a couple of times just to get a good look at all the characters :smile: Music is pretty good, but it scared me first since it starts with a bang :smile: Didn't make to the top of the highscore unfortunately... Great entry!

Nice game! I liked the character variety and the map design. It took me a little while to figure out how to place the characters, but once I did it was very fun.

i like what you did with the theme, since not only you are running out of space, but your enemy also is. the only problem is, that the matches are really short. but overall good game!

The voxel approach for the graphics was a good decision and the music somehow matches the atmosphere. It turns out to be a pleasant experience for the gameplay this kind of look, at least in my opinion.

I liked the mechanics of the game, even though i found it a bit too hard. Well, im not a good player at all, so i guess in this aspect my opinion is biased. However the functionalities didnt show any bugs or clunkyness, so its not a negative point.

I won the first time playing but then couldn't do it again! Those top scores make me think there's some kind of konami code plugged in or something! I like the artwork and concept, though I wish I were able to better comprehend strategy, fun play through!

The concept is good overall and I like the art in isometric perspective. I don't know why, but when I first saw the screen, my instinct was to click and drag the characters I wanted to use to their positions rather than click them, then click the screen. If you're working on a phone version for this, you might want to play with that to see if it feels better than clicking twice for the same command.

I think the balance is too tough for this build. I don't even know if I made a dent in the enemies while playing. I think starting with much weaker enemies while the player gets a handle for the controls, then scaling them to be more powerful the longer they survive would help the feel overall.

Ayy, a fellow strategy game!

I played it and beat it on the first try and then beat my time by about 20 seconds the next try :D I had luck with spamming low cost units and never got to see where tankier units would be optimal but still, I enjoyed the art style, the music was fitting and the sfx were serviceable. I would like to have a little bit more context for what the units excel at, rather than guess but I understand how lack of time would result in some cuts (I can relate).

A thing I would alter is how zoomed in it is. I couldn't see the bottom part of the screen due to GUI and couldn't find a way to move the camera or anything. It would be nice to see the entire, beautiful map!

I'm glad I got to play & rate this <3

I like the voxel look. The UI confused me. Why are the defenders not in order of expense? Do they have different skills? Should I be concerned about when to use the 5 coin guy and when to use the 6 coin guy? Chickens are amusing. I don't know what the flags represent because they don't move with my territory. I played the game five times before discovering that I could move the board. That's fancy, but maybe not necessary if you move the defender shopping chart out of the way. I agree with other comments that the game is too hard. After I made a couple of high scores, I lost the knack for what I was doing and kept dying. Could you please make the enemy a different color from the player's troops?

@wrenpirate thanks for the suggestions i'll probably implement them, different colored troops were on the todo list the whole time, but we ran out of time, so it became optional:D

@bela-bohlender I certainly understand that. We had a lot of things on our list from the beginning. At least a couple of important things are missing in the version we submitted. Congratulations on your accomplishment!

I love the voxel style! also the music fits in pretty well. the game is too hard tho. the enemy is getting far more spawns in than me -.-. The concept is good and it's executed well. overall a solid entry, good job!

@vekstr some say he is, some say he isn't. He gets 15 start gold and the player gets 0, so he has an advantage. We testet with 10 gold and it was way too easy. If u have an idea to improve the enemy, please share it because we are thinking of making a post LD version :smile:
