Hi! I tried playing it on my Windows computer, but I got this error message "There should be 'FKTK_Data' folder next to the executable".

@studio-rtv Hey! I wanted to play your game but as Peter said, your game is missing some files... Could you maybe update it?
@peter-sheehan @mrsylar59
Whoops sorry, just seeing these comments now! Just updated the Windows build on the itch.io site, let me know if they're still not working for you! :)
It worked fine for me! "Your majesty, come back." is pretty great.
Its a little too hard, I found even the basic crates to be hard to avoid, since its fairly fast and the crates are pretty wide. It could use to start a bit slower and speed up over time maybe!
The sudden voice over made me laugh. It's a simple but nice game, the graphics are alright and it plays well. It's too hard to avoid the boxes, they come too fast at you and they have huge hitboxes. as previous have mention, it should start slower.
But great job!
Game was really good, a little too hard personally. I think there is still a lot of polishing needed, glad you got the game done and all. I think the game could use maybe some texturing on the ground and maybe a background to really pull the game together. I liked the animations and models you did plus the sound, just maybe it needs to be a little bit slower where you can actually dodge the boxes.
Thanks y'all for playing and for the comments! Lol the game was even hard for me while I was developing it, I ran out of time before I could really get into polishing to make it actually manageable to play.
@ranner198 I totally agree on the ground/background texturing. Didn't have time to get around to figure out scrolling textures either, it's easily the thing I'm most sad about not being able to get to! Definitely would have helped wrap the game together overall.
Its working, but it needs some work. I was able to walk out of view of the camera, bypass the level and beat the game. a simple collider could have prevented this. During my boring walk I realized the level looks like it gets pretty tough and the level is long. So I went back after getting to the end and played it the right way. I did find it to be a challenge, in fact probably too much, something rare for me. I was unable to get very far without cheating. One way to solve this would be to put some type of health pick up in the level. The controls are pretty solid. I kept hitting the torches and getting held up. The art gets the job done, we all know how timing is essential in a jam. I wish there was more audio, and less of the annoying beep when you click the menu button. Also some type of reward for beating such a challenge would be nice maybe a little sketch of the king leaving a castle, nothing too crazy, but the end looks just like the beginning which is a little disappointing. (even tho I cheated to get to the end). Nice twist on the theme. Literally running. the v/o was funnny. GREAT JOB COMPLETING!
The most interesting thing was the mechanic of having to escape the advisor, while evading the obstacles. That idea is great, the problem is, the obstacles come too fast, it's almost impossible to evade them. Maybe it would be better instead of having lives, to stun the player for a moment. Anyway, good job!
Hey! It looks like you built your game using Unity and provided a Mac build in addition to your Windows build.. but you forgot about Linux! Any chance you could upload a Linux build as well? Would be nice if I could give playing it a shot. :)
I had the same experience as @rikoclon, including winning by running off the edge of the screen.
I guess if the hit boxes for the crates smaller, i might have got better experience. I've to keep replaying several times because of that. One thing i really liked the guard voice "Your majesty,..come back.....Your majesty,..come back....." hahaha it was funny. Also I liked it when i tricked him, and ran in a circle, so he hit the big blocker, he dies and stop chasing me, and the blocker gone!
I tried to win by running off the edge, but didn't work first ;( later I mastered it :D
Good job for a jam game :)

@cornelia-xaos Sure thing! Didn't realize you could download all of the build packages for each platform on one computer, I had initially built packages from a Windows and Mac computer separately haha. Will get a Linux version up soon!
@ everyone else
Guess through all of my testing I forgot to actually add the colliders at the end of the hallway to prevent you from falling off the level. Whoops! Object movement speed and size of the boxes were the things I wanted to be able to tweak more but unfortunately ran out of time. When the jam is over I do want to go back and polish this up more so it actually feels complete.
Did not realize so many people would find my voice recording so funny, maybe I should go into a career in voice acting :P
Simple but effective. I had a lot of fun trying to run away from power. A very inspired incarnation of this LD39. As it is a jam game, more efforts in the graphics, some music, and attention to details would have been a bonus. Why not remind the player the percentage of completion of the level on the game over (lose) screen. For the sake of the player's motivation. Some button to quit the game would be nice too.
Good theme interpretion! Simple yet fun, though a bit too difficult overall. Nice sound, too! The chasing guy was unexpected and is probably the most fun idea to play with in this game. Maybe you should think of implementing similar mechanics further on, they are quite good! Thanks for the game!
Pretty cute. Quite hard I have to say, but nice entry!
Hey, I loved the theme! It was great. The graphics and content was good. The game was waaaaay too hard. It needed to definitely start out easier even if it gets way harder in the end. And, I didn't get to see an ending, but I really hope it was you running through some big doors across a bridge into some grass or something. You did a really good job I think.
I really enjoyed this game, it was challenging yet simple, which makes a good game. Audio is good, graphics are good. Overall gameplay is really fun. The game is well made. Good Job!!
I liked the art for the king. I was one of the people who just sat outside of the collisions and waited for the level to end. It seems like it gets even faster near the end. There isn't really much time to react to the crates and even if you notice them in time the movement speed is to slow to dodge them. If you upped the movement speed and lowered the scrolling speed it would be much more possible to win. I did like the "Your majesty come back" and if I ever need voice acting i'm asking you now!
Won the game, thanks to a glitch that allows you to run without worrying about obstacles and the advisor. Not bad in overall. The gameplay is decent enough and can be fun for a while, but when advisor gets near, although a fun idea to worry about both, becomes too hard as obstacles come in too fast and seem to have large hitboxes. Luckily I found that glitch lol
Nice idea with sliding instead of jumping in this type of game.
