The artstyle and music create an awesome mood. I love the world that you created. I enjoyed being greeted by a bunch of creepy horse-heads, haha.
After getting both the bear and the wolf powers, and killing the few enemies I found on my way, couldn't find what else I was supposed to do and I think that I got to explore the whole map. I guess it could be nice to have a little bit more guidance on what should the player be trying to do next. :)
Hey sndr glad you liked it :) the map isn't so big, also we add little and big details to help players, I'm sure you'll find your next power soon !

I have to admit, that the idea of shapeshifting is different than other games here. Also I love the graphics style :)
a really great athmosphere and mood. cool theme, funny intro. with 3rd person camera and visible shapeshift, it would match the theme perfectly. The level is a bit too big and empty...

Great game! You set the mood really well and use the theme to great effect. Feels like it could really be fleshed out into a multi-hour game. The art is stellar for such a short period of development. Great use of effects like DoF and particles for the leaves hanging in the air - also great job using the graphics to delineate the different areas. If I could make one recommendation that I didn't see below it would be to add maybe one more weapon, and add more enemies into the map, each of which might be vulnerable to some attacks over others. And maybe a defensive item would be cool too. I really loved the flight mechanic. That was a great touch to be sure, I loved the visual effect of the fog. Really great game, I'm impressed how polished it is for only 3 days in dev. Had a lot of fun playing, I hope you had fun creating it! Thanks for your entry :D

The graphics are beautiful! Nice game!
I really like the mood and ambient of this game, the dreamy ambients and enemies. Itis interesting the way you interpreted the theme, and I think the way you implemented it was great. I found the control to be a little clunky to be honest.

Not everyday an LD game makes my graphics card whir!
This is a great game! So ambitious and you guys finished it! Really nice!
And that ending.. Man!
Contrary to sndr I knew exactly where to go. Real good job on the leveldesign!
I wonder why you have so few comments. Hope you get more!

Since it's a Jam game I'm curious if you made all the art during the 72 hours or is you reused some existing assets. Because it would be really impressive if you made all this content in just three days!

Amazing, really unique and beautiful graphical style. I think there's an interesting idea there with the gameplay, but it didn't quite come together. Obtaining new powers feels a little anticlimactic, and overall the world feels kinda empty after the first area, although it is pretty enough to enjoy just walking around.

Congratulations!

Nice entry! Graphics are great! You should add some enemies to make the game more nervous. Good job ;)
I enjoyed the gaining animal powers aspect. I think the objectives were a bit too far apart, or perhaps there were not enough things to do between them.
I have seen other games where you can inherit other abilities.
But overall this was awesome. Loved the artstyle and music (the bull music was awesome). Although it took a long time to get to each point.

Impressive scale, graphic & gameplay content for a game jam, but too ambitious in my opinion :) The power ups were nice (fly + charge = really cool to use) but not enough level design situations to enjoy them.
Hey folks sorry I took time playing a bunch of game I couldn't answers to everyone in time ! Thanks a lot for all of your comments so far, I've taken note that the forest part is a bit empty, it lacks of puzzle mechanics with abilities to use on.
On a side note I spend 2 hours designing and coding the final boss' summon and nobody talks about it !

Hi guys,
First of all thank you all for the comments, this was my first participation in a game jam and you seem to be a bunch of wonderful people :)
I agree with pretty much all of you. We had a lot of ambition and some things could have been more dynamics and polished (I'm looking at you, combat ô_o) but overall I'm very happy with the final result. I really like the core concept and this mood was really something we were looking for. And we still have tons of ideas that didn't make it to the 72th hour of the contest!
For those who ask if we made all the art, unfortunatly we didn't have a 3D modeler so we used 3D assets from our database and tried to give them a unique look with textures, shading and light effects. Otherwise we would have loved making a 3rd person game with visible transformations!
Anyway thanks again for the kind words! Hope you had a good time traveling in our twisted minds ;)
Oh, and of course, thank you EdoMiyamoto for such a great experiment o/

The funnest part was getting the flying ability and breaking the game lol. I think I spent more time then I should have climbing every peak and running around the outside of the levels.

Nice graphics, and music, Good job :)
Wow, a great 3D game done in such a short time :) quite a large map and plenty details. And funny enemies, the zombie otter rocks. A map would be good to get faster around. Good luck, with a little work on gameplay you can go forward! Stefan (omlette.du.fromage)
Awesome graphics!
The music was also a pretty good choice.
I thought the map was a little bit big for the whole game, but this is also impressive feature. Great work, guys!
PS. Hey Edo, I summoned the boss and beat the game :)

Good job, I like the art direction, the mood, the controller is easy to use with the keyboard + mouse, I have some problems at the first time because my gamepad was connected in the PC, the camera was turning crazy, but after I play again with out the gamepad and it works good, I played for a long time ^_^

Great game, loved the atmosphere and feel of the game. The canyon part might have been a tad long but I still had a heap of fun with the game. Everything worked really well together.
Congrats to you guys! Really thought use of the theme. Except the shadow clipping that a little hurts the eye, the graphics and sounds are work of a pro. Did you make all the 3d models and animations ?
@zaywolfe yeah I was building walls around the world before submitting, then I thought of one of my first LD when people told me the best part was running around, so I stopped. :D
@Louspirit like EkoMcCloud said, we used a few 3D models (like the house you see in the beginning) and mod them by making our own textures, shaders, particules and lightning on and around them. Animations took us a long time, that's why after spending 2 hours on the scene with the bear, we simplified everything. Only near the end I took the few hours left to make the boss hovering, along with the lynx behaviour.
For the shadow clipping there wasn't much time left to fix it unfortunately, as unity failed to bake lightmaps, and it was too late to split our 3 terrains into scenes :(
@MementoGames thanks and congrats :)

Very impressive submission. The level design is really good. I was really startled at one point when the hawk's shadow passed over me. :)
Fantastic game and world! Really digging the tribal atmosphere and the mystic powers. *spoilers* I had a blast flying around from wall to wall. Love the Borderlands-esque esthetic, awesome work!

This game looked amazing and had a lot of great atmosphere. The combat was kind of a weak point for the game but i still did not want to stop playing. Great game!

I've seen this one around the twittersphere! I absolutely love the ambition in this title, it tries to be so much more than just a game made in 3 days. Very cool world!

Nice job for 3 days. Please opt-out graphics if you didn't make the models :)
Beautifull game ! very nice music and graph !
Creepy, mysterious game! I included it in my video compilation series of Ludum Dare games, if you’d like to check them out :) https://youtu.be/6jh8RTn7UxY
