I have never seen anything like it, as a concept, it is really good.
Without sounds, it is quite underwhelming and kind of boring, but the visual effects are smooth and look good. It was a bit annoying that I couldn't choose from which part of my ship will I fire. Maybe if it fired as close to the mouse as possible.
Damn those homming projectiles were hard. Super cool concept though!

I absolutely love it! The ending boss was such a shock to me, very cool. At least I assume it was the ending boss, he's too hard for me right now :S
I love shooters and would massively enjoy something like this took even further :D
I'll say that the beginning is a bit slow, after a death. Or perhaps the curve is too jarring, the sniper field of Flyers was crazy.
Overall: I love it! 5 stars
Pretty innovative game! Difficult, too, seeing as sometimes the ship fails to shoot. Maybe I'll beat that boss sometime...

Wow this is intense. I was really curious when you posted screenshots on the blog, I didn't expect it to be this cool. Amazing concept.

Daaaamn that's a brilliant mechanic! :O
I'd love to see more be done with it.
Really took the theme and ran with it. This is such a good concept! The difficulty curve could use some work

I love the concept and the minimal look of the game ! Only music missing and that would be perfect !

Great game. Loved the concept.
Interesting game concept, the game was quite fun for a while. After the boss appeared I was quite overwhelmed on the shots needed to kill it. (if one block disappears at time)

Thanks for all the comments everybody, I really appreciate it.
Since there seems to be interest, I will try to expand on this somehow. I'm undecided between a bigger & better Flash version, or an even bigger & even better Windows/Mac/Linux Steam version. If anyone has a preference let me know :)
To honest, it made me think: "wow, I wish I would think up something like this". I can't recall playing an obvious spiritual successor (the only that comes to mind is Pixelships, and there the mechanics were actually very different).
Seems almost Zen-like. Great submission!

I like the mechanic, it was easy to pick up and play. Fun game.
Very creative. Add more powerups, increase the speed a bit and you have a great game. Had a pleasure to play.
Awesome take on the theme! The concept is very interesting and the game looks very polished. I really enjoyed this minimalist art style.
Try to take some time to add music or at least few SFXs next time.
Great job!
Nice concept. Kind of reminds me of cellular automata. Its a bit hard because attaching a block can change your shooting position.
