LD34 — Two Button Controls / Growing

Trees! by Vandash 2015-12-16T22:11:00

Very nice idea and execution!

Deblight by swinestudios 2015-12-17T00:44:00

Nice retro game, feels like something that would be well at home at an old-school arcade.

The Last of Egg by ShuddaHaddaLottaFun 2015-12-17T00:30:00

The amazing sequel to "I am Bread", eh ;)?

Crooked Town by TeamEagle 2015-12-16T21:53:00

"Direct delivery to the 8th floor maternity ward!"

Void by bakudas 2015-12-16T23:44:00

Well polished, like it how the level grows out.

Sphere Co.™ by kaype 2015-12-16T22:04:00

I can confirm I got the same problem as WebFreak001 on Linux. Looks like a display ID issue. I also have a multi-monitor setup, maybe that's the reason?

The Groth by tharealjohn 2015-12-16T23:03:00

Nice, simple game with all the components in place. Does get a bit monotonous 'though.

Also, regarding controls - I actually had a similar concept which I scrapped due to the potential for frustration with only one direction of rotation. And it seems that it indeed a problem.

Perhaps e.g. a double-click to switch direction would help?

Wellspring Wanderer by Justin Mullin 2015-12-17T00:54:00

Wow, and here I thought I was a special little snowflake with my own Scala/Libgdx entry. Nice one, very atmospheric.

Growdom by Wevel 2015-12-16T22:51:00

Interesting three-dimensional balancing concept (inspired by Go by any chance)? Can confirm it works on Linux, with "Good" or lower graphics and windowed mode.

Exttach by VascoF 2015-12-17T00:18:00

To honest, it made me think: "wow, I wish I would think up something like this". I can't recall playing an obvious spiritual successor (the only that comes to mind is Pixelships, and there the mechanics were actually very different).

Seems almost Zen-like. Great submission!

Drez-eX by Leaghorn 2015-12-17T00:12:00

There are timing (game speed seems to depend on graphics detail) and generation (I only get a playable level 1/5 time) issues on my system.

Still when it works correctly, I like it, it fits both themes and feels consistent.

Immortal Growth by Evergreen Games 2015-12-16T23:20:00

Really nice concept that is holistically integrated with the gameplay, audio, and graphics. Inspired by Apotheon, perhaps? In any case, I really like how this game is consistent and feels "complete".

Highwind by rkhadder 2015-12-16T23:34:00

Nice, original core game mechanic. Although its a big buggy at times (hitboxes for self become ignored, lost the ability to shoot), it's still a lot of fun to build your own lighter-than-air behemoth. Congrats on a fine entry!

SLUG STORM by Niels.Tiercelin 2015-12-16T20:42:00

Loved the aquarium-helmet ducks!

Space Laser Omega by Auroz 2015-12-16T20:31:00

Nice idea. The only think that was jarring for me was the lack of collisions - they would make terraforming more challenging (and fun!). Otherwise, cool :).

Monster Factory by Corniflex 2015-12-16T22:37:00

Makes for a fun browser game, and a good starting concept for fleshing out into something more.
