This is a really interesting idea. A chess-inspired game where you an objective to complete while avoiding combat.
but unfortunately it didn't end up being too fun.
It just devolves into alternating between running away and eating ships.
Overall package is very solid and complete. Really happy to see people trying to original ideas. Congrats on finishing a game!
Highly polished. Enjoyed exploring the degrees of freedom in the game rules, but soon worked out the hook to winning constantly. Very nice.
It's interesting, works as a boardgame, but ultimately the ruleset seems too easy to handle - the queen seems to always have an advantage. Hmmmm, a really well polished game otherwise!
Pretty cool, was it normal there was no music? it had some at first then stopper.

Fun game, like the style choice. The music and graphics really helped the humor. Not sure if this was an accident or on purpose, but the voice always sounds like "release the kraken" :P (maurice and denice both fit). Could use a bit of rebalancing and more explanation, but very well done overall!
Yes, "Denise The Kraken" and "Maurice The Kraken" were intended to sound like "Release The Kraken". That's why I got a real live semi-professional voice actor to do them :)

it's quite entertaining, an interesting idea and nicely executed as well!
Would've loved to play this against a friend. The AI (especially for Maurice) just didn't think far enough in advance to make it challenging. Looks good and plays pretty smoothly although it was somewhat annoying that mouse dragging stopped if your cursor left the window.
Solid entry, but the gameplay got a bit boring as is.

Very nice puzzle game, I really liked the different movement pattern for each sibling. It would be cool to see it further developed as a full fledge game.

Nice work! The graphics look great, the game feels complete. The "one-move queen" versus "two-move king" movement feels pretty balanced; Maurice has a bit of an advantage, I think. Showing each character's available movement on mousedown was a really helpful feature. I liked the combined scoring for the player taking a turn as each of the krakens, too.
