| Oct 20 06:04:58 | The Wild Choo-Choo West | ♥ 1 | Even though the game is not complete, some aspects of it like the mood and some graphics are very well put together. Sometimes it's not necessarily about having a fully finished product, but about having tried and experimented. If it is your first Ludum Dare, it is already a great achievement to have published anything for others to see. | |
| Oct 20 18:15:31 | 12h 10m | Nomad City | ♥ 0 | The mood and graphics are really cool! I think the game deserves to be balanced a bit better, I felt it was pretty easy, but I think it is also pretty easy to make your run impossible to win. I am not really familiar with auto battlers, so I don't really know how to make the mechanic more engaging. But it's a very smooth sailing experience, congrats! |
| Oct 20 18:30:29 | 14m 58s | Zwaard Smid | ♥ 1 | I think I ran out of metal trying everything out! It took me a lot of attempts to figure out how everything worked, thanks for the information on the description (even tough it is quite enough). Probably having only one button for interaction would have been more intuitive. Also, it took me a while to understand that I was supposed to use the mouse x) But that may just be a me problem. The idea is pretty cool, a polish version of this entry could make for a good game. The mood is well put together, I had a great time trying it! |
| Oct 20 18:47:49 | 17m 20s | Fix The Dead | ♥ 3 | I am quite sad because I really wanted to play the game, but I had issues with the mouse sensibility. On both the computer and when I was standing up, the tiniest move would make me loop around like I had 2 bottles of vodka in the belly... So I couldn't get to the store room and progress in the game (but I liked the mood very much) |
| Oct 20 19:01:05 | 13m 16s | SPACECORNER | ♥ 1 | Haha so cute and cool. It works really well I like the randomness of it all, and trying to please someone that don't really know themself how to be pleased. |
| Oct 20 19:28:06 | 27m 01s | Apartment 28 | ♥ 2 | Well... Call me stupid, because I could not find that damn screwdriver... (At least I fed the pigeon) I'll leave out ratings for overall, and fun for now, but I think it is all very well put together. I really felt like it is a finished product. The original resident evil feel is very present. |
| Oct 20 20:26:29 | 58m 23s | THE LAST WORD | ♥ 3 | Very cool mood and graphics. I really enjoyed reading the little pieces of news (I did not read all of them, there were a lot, but always good surprises). I also really liked the camera effect. There is not much to critic here :) |
| Oct 22 18:19:19 | 45h 52m | Moth in the Machine | ♥ 1 | Very good job! I would say I was a bit confused about everything I was doing, and since I felt like I had to be quick and efficient, it was a bit difficult for me to take the time and properly read into the story. The mood and graphics are excellent though, and the setup pretty neat! |
| Oct 22 18:27:23 | 8m 04s | Hold it There | ♥ 1 | Hahaha thank you for this, I REALLY needed some manmade-slop for once. That is what I want to participate in Game Jam, stupid little game. And It's very well made for what it is. |
| Oct 22 18:39:14 | 11m 51s | Simon's Key | ♥ 0 | It's a great game, I feel like the introduction to some mechanics could be introduced a bit more obviously. But it's a choice : you either have the joy of discovery for some but frustration for others, or non of them (and just puzzle reflection) Anyway, that is pretty tied up game, congrats! |
| Oct 24 10:00:58 | 39h 21m | Rail Mania | ♥ 1 | Few! Sorry I didn't complete the game (got to level 9), maybe I'll get back to it. These were hard puzzles. Most of what I had to say have already been taken into account. It took me while to get the hang of it : clearer explanations would have helped, but it's an interesting twist on tower of hanoi. I think the puzzle progression is a bit steep for me, I used the yardmaster a lot (thank you for this) to see were the game wanted me to go to be optimal. But I know that puzzle progression is a very hard thing to achieve ! |
| Oct 24 10:24:31 | 23m 33s | Out Of Frame | ♥ 3 | I really like the art style and the idea. The writing was very funny, and there are a lot of details that makes the mood work quite well. The game lack some polish here and there, like some button with the default style, some click that don't get through, but it is easy to get past that. By the way, I noticed the linux build says the game is in debug mode? Maybe something to check during the export |
| Oct 24 11:06:10 | 41m 39s | Deep Dive | ♥ 0 | Well, you already got very detailed feedback. I personally though it was amazingly put together, I really enjoyed the music (I gently bobbed my head a little), difficulty felt nice, the story was engaging, the art style is great... Very very cool |
| Oct 24 11:54:27 | 48m 17s | The Base for Old Creations | ♥ 1 | Thank you for the hint on the page! What had to be done was a bit cryptic! The mood a very cool, many funny dialogs, I loved the roughly scanned object and the plush bulb. The game felt very unique and even though it's not the best game I played it is more memorable than many! |
| Oct 24 12:10:09 | 15m 42s | Nightguard | ♥ 1 | Loved the mood and the mechanic. It is quite immersive. I found the game pretty difficult, but maybe that's because I was too impatient... I couldn't reastart the game after death, I had to reload the page, I'm not sure why though. |
| Oct 24 12:37:05 | 26m 56s | The Island | ♥ 0 | Very cool. I also ran it on linux without any issues (using steam proton). I had one visual artifact where one of the big rock flickered to white, but that may be my linux setup. It might also be that I have an AMD (Radeon 890M) since they are less forgiving of uninitialized shader variables. I don't know on what hardware you test your engine? Gameplay wise, the game struggles a bit to convey the positions of two land mines simultaneously. Sometime I had to tip toe between my left and right ear to pass in between mines. But it worked, I got rescued :) |
| Oct 24 13:52:06 | 1h 15m | Antiquus Labyrinthus | ♥ 1 | Pretty neat, I liked the mood, it's the strong point of this entry. The combat feels a bit slow, and I found a bug where you can reload the cross bow when it is already loaded and loose an amo in the process (or, is it a feature? I guess in real life you should not try to reload an already loaded crossbow, that seems dangerous too) As someone mentioned, a map would have been nice addition too! Anyway good job, you clearly put a lot of effort into this. |
| Oct 24 14:12:42 | 20m 36s | When the Skies Were Young | ♥ 0 | This is so cool!! The controls are truly great, it took me a while to learn how to fly, but then taking off and landing felt great. The game in a bit overwhelming, learning the prices and the areas, but it feels immersive for that. I only did a quick test run, but I can see myself playing a lot longer if there were more intensives to do so. |
| Oct 24 16:30:38 | 2h 17m | Obsolete Absolute | ♥ 1 | The art is great, the concept pretty cachy. I will just say that the game did not feel very balanced, and end's up being quite frustrating when a hardly earned upgrade feels like a downgrade (for the weapon). I quit after having the grenade that made early level progressions harder that the machine gun. But just a few tweaks here and there would have done the job. if the progression was more linear it would have suited me better! I would have preferred a shorter game, even if it meant for it to be a bit easier :) |
| Oct 24 19:19:56 | 2h 49m | ZERO_DAY | ♥ 1 | I really loved it! I loved the music, it's amazing. Took me three tries, and my strategy became : "Just be stronger and faster that the previous run", and it works more than trying to outsmart the waves (at least for me). But I think that would not have worked in hard mode. Everything is well put together and feels polished, congrats! |
| Oct 27 06:54:36 | 59h 34m | Rusty Relics | ♥ 2 | Very cool! Funny we had a similar Idea, but very different execution (at one point we considered doing something similar in terms of gameplay, although quite simpler) Funny little messages under each relics. The tools and relics are well though out. I enjoyed my time :) |
