| Apr 8 07:49:33 | Falling | ♥ 2 | A cute little game that took me a while to understand. I really like the trade off of not seeing what is coming and navigating to some place where an interaction will be in the future. Interesting design and ideas displayed. | |
| Apr 8 07:58:18 | 8m 45s | SINKING | ♥ 3 | An interesting game. It's like a puzzle game on a timer. And you pay every "interaction" with time. This first seems a bit difficult when you don't know what to do and what to use with what. I found it a bit confusing that I could use the machete with the ladder and something seemed to happen. But it was the wrong choice, but I realized that later, as I found the machete before any planks. Not sure if a audio queue or disabling the wrong items for the wrong task would help. Also, can you softlock yourself, with loosing items to the flood lower down? The health mechanic adds a nice touch of leway to avoid early flood. Interesting experience and a solid entry. |
| Apr 8 08:04:27 | 6m 09s | Deep Sea Torpedo | ♥ 1 | Congrats on finishing your first jam, that’s a huge feat! Looking forward to seeing your entries in the years to come! :D The vibe is of an oldschool retro game. I admit I was a bit confused by the controls first, aiming with the mouse and shooting with space seemed a bit "too" innovative ;) Also, when decending with CTRL and moving with W, I closed the browser tab once lol |
| Apr 8 08:10:22 | 5m 55s | Shelter from the Blight | ♥ 3 | The graphics and art style are amazing! The UI seems a bit too cramped in the web build on my 1080p monitor. When I click on stuff I only get "cannot place this here" messages and they overlap with the UI and I cannot click on items in the lower menu. An interesting take on an idle game where you cannot be idle due to time pressure. Cool! |
| Apr 8 08:19:03 | 8m 41s | Deep Into The Well | ♥ 1 | Interesting gameplay and a great take on the theme! The mood and atmosphere is AMAZING! You really captured a great horror mood there! At first I thought "wow let's just drill down, what will happen??" but the mechanics kept stacking and adding new ideas with every level! Great job! |
| Apr 8 09:54:08 | 1h 35m | Quantum Inferno Run | ♥ 1 | A cool runner with an interesting art style! That menu fits perfectly and controls feel good imo. The layer effect was done really well! |
| Apr 8 10:02:39 | 8m 31s | SINK. | ♥ 1 | Congratulations on completing your first jam! It's a huge feat! The art and atmosphere is really great! Love the details with the bubbles. Although I must admit, I did not understand why I can pin the tether. It does not seem to affect my movement or the gameplay? Sorry to plug my own game, but it seems we kinda had the same idea when it comes to diving and the oxygen tether haha :D Keep it up, looking forward to your next game! |
| Apr 10 15:13:25 | 53h 10m | The Altermind Project | ♥ 1 | A great and introspective game! Cool graphics and great atmosphere! I was intrigued with the promise and really liked the finale. Great game that will stay with me for a long time. Now reading the comments, I guess it really hit the spot for me. :) |
| Apr 10 15:22:02 | 8m 37s | HatchLink - Your Pocket Pet Friend | ♥ 1 | This game is technically impressive. I assume it's not done in a "traditional" engine, rather some webpage to embed? The idea of an interactive LD page would be intriguing to see more of. An interesting take on the theme. A four hour game sure is a bold move in a jam. |
| Apr 10 15:27:40 | 5m 38s | A long night | ♥ 2 | A cool and atmosphere rich game! I like the idea of the light cone, but I could just swing my mouse around and kinda get the view of the level, haha :D But I painfully agree with previous posters, the movement was a bit too slow for my liking as well. I know it's within the "style" of the game, but it's a bit discouraging "investing" a long time walking down a path that doesn't progress the game. |
| Apr 10 15:35:47 | 8m 07s | Photo Pro Papparazzi | ♥ 1 | A really cool game and idea! I love the voice lines, haha. Also the guy I am taking pictures of... he's kinda familiar.... :-) I also like the idea of "paying" with battery power for photos, this encourages me to make every shot count and not mindlessly take pictures until I get one that fits. But then, I can focus the camera perfectly, and just spam LMB to get a lot of great pictures. Maybe if there were multiple people to photograph, this would prevent this? Anyways, great game, mood and style! This is my best result of LMB spam: Unbenannt.PNG *** (sorry for the shameless plug, but we had the same idea. in our game we also have to adjust the focus of a camera, lol :D ) |
| Apr 10 16:09:45 | 33m 58s | You Gnome the Drill! | ♥ 3 | A fun game with a brilliant core ideas! Yet I feel like, it can be improved a bit. Here some scattered thoughts: - platforming felt a little clunky and controls feel floaty (like on ice) at one point, then very snappy and the character would stop instantly - the "dynamic" climbing animation is really cool and very well done! - Did you take inspiration from spelunky level generation? Sure feels like it :D - I don't understand the dash. Sometimes it works well and I dash quite a distance, then it's weak af and doesn't move me at all. Is this intended as a falloff for double jumps? Aiming the dash is really difficult for me. :( Level design: - The arrow when the drill is close to the arena fight is really confusing. It points in the direction of the drill, so I thought I can just go there and the level would loop around. Yet, it landed in a dead end and had to backtrack and platform through already cleared sections. - Why not allow the level to loop back into the drill shaft? As is, the level seems to be two large linear corridors, so why the arrow? Defense arena: - I like the idea of prepping for the "final boss" of the level that is triggered on a forgiving timer! Great design! - When I first reached the boss I had two bullets left. At first I did not realize I had limited ammo. With two shots left, I could do nothing but watch the drill die. :( Maybe some pitty ammo pickups would help in the boss fight? Placed far off, so I have to sacrifice drill health for ammo while plattforming towards the pickups? - The second time I got to the boss, I had one enemy left, but it never spawned in so I got soft locked. - Is the arena walled off? I think I can just walk off infinitely in one direction Sorry if this is a bit negative, but I do really like the game! I think there are some great design ideas that can be expanded upon for a full release :) Great job y'all! |
| Apr 10 16:19:53 | 10m 08s | Copper Soul | ♥ 1 | A nice game with a great atmosphere! Is the music dynamic? It feels like there is a new instrument for every new floor. Great game! If I could wish for something, frankly it would be a skip button for the battles. They are a bit slow and as far as I know no RNG or other effects, so I knew the outcome of a battle by looking at the numbers and seeking how many turns they take and just watch it play out. In general the game feels like every choice is trading resources, which I like. Feels a bit like an old school pyhsical table top game haha Speaking of feelings: Tell me... Is there any positive outcome for events at all?? I felt like I lost resources with every event, but then again, I never chose to ignore because I wanted to see what you were cooking. My curiosity got the better of me. :( |
| Apr 10 16:28:00 | 8m 07s | Rappel the Porter | ♥ 3 | I can just join in with the previous comments. It's a great premisse that I'd like to see explored more! The art style and dynamic music are very well done! I gotta admit it took me a while to understand how to play, but a great game nonetheless! |
| Apr 10 16:43:02 | 15m 02s | Sticky's Aquarium | ♥ 1 | The fishing mechanic is really well done and the art is soooooooooooo cute! Well done great game overall! |
| Apr 10 16:52:30 | 9m 28s | A Quest To Bear | ♥ 2 | The art style, gameplay, presentation, music, mood, characters, menus, tutorial etc etc etc is just PERFECT! Great job! You can just release it as is and people would not know this is a jam game! Well done! One thing regarding the graphics: I found I had trouble timing when to place the boulder. Not sure if it was just me, but maybe making the environment less round, and leaning more into the tile based aestetic would help? But not sure. Anyways, great game love it! |
| Apr 10 16:58:43 | 6m 13s | Tasty Holes | ♥ 1 | A fun game with an interesting mechanic! Great ideas and love the tough of the soldier ants style. Really cool, no notes. What a great ANT-ry to the jam! :D |
| Apr 10 18:27:09 | 1h 28m | Mining to the Antergrounds | ♥ 2 | It's 2D mine craft! Cool game with cute graphics! I admit I didn't always know what the shop upgrades did, but it was fun nontheless to avoid all the worms! Great game! |
| Apr 10 18:55:16 | 28m 07s | The Adventures of Wormington | ♥ 2 | A wonderful game and the pollish is amazing! Great job overall and a fun game! Played this with my gf in turns and we had a ton of fun! We even removed the gnome :D |
| Apr 10 19:05:21 | 10m 05s | Crab Royal | ♥ 1 | Cool game! The crab looks really good! Great work overall! |
| Apr 10 19:08:52 | 3m 31s | Stars In The Deep | ♥ 1 | I did not expect the boss at the end. I got spooked :O But cool game! :) |
| Apr 10 22:41:49 | 3h 32m | Captain Death | ♥ 2 | What a cute and pollished game! Great fun! I admit, it took me a while to figure out how the controls work, but once it snapped, it got into a great package and fun experience! Once you upgrade a bunch of times and reel a lot of fish in, it takes quite a while until you can cast the next line, so a HUMBLE MASTER ANGLER like myself has to watch their catch turn into gold stars quite a long time. Also it would be nice to see a preview of where the hookshot would go, since it's a bit difficult to estimage with the length and segment count changing every cast. But that's just me, suffering from success because of my overwhelming skill at the game. |
| Apr 10 23:05:19 | 23m 30s | Abyss Longing | ♥ 1 | What a cool liminal space to explore! Love the game! You crafted a great movement controller and it felt really tight to control. I really had to restrain myself trying to "style" through the levels. I had to watch my every step and choose platforms deliberately. Great game! Beat it first try. 🆒 |
| Apr 11 09:41:12 | 10h 35m | A Final Deed | ♥ 1 | Where do I even begin with this game? The graphics and visual style are AWESOME! The mood is AWESOME! The music is AWESOME! I really love the little "flash" the texts do when I finish a level! Great touch! Well polished game! It's a moving and introspective game that will stay with me long after the jam! And you even went the extra mile for a leader board! wow, just amazing! And seeing the kind messages people write is really inspiring! Great game and great people out there! |
| Apr 11 14:44:22 | 5h 03m | Depths of Hell | ♥ 1 | The graphics are really cute and reminds me of an oldschool infinite jumper. The mood and atmosphere is great! Yet, I must admit, the controls feel a bit clunky. A bit like on ice. Also when jumping on the platforms from the side, it seems there is a bit of a collision sometimes. It sometimes felt like I was getting stuck? Maybe it was just me tho. |
| Apr 12 09:42:06 | 18h 57m | Dyamid | ♥ 1 | I don't know what to add what other didn't say before! The game is really well done and pollished! Fun to play, tight controls, interesting mechanics and more and more interactions stacking on top of each other! Platforming is tight, puzzle rooms are tight, ideas are brilliant and sprites are easy to read and it includes a cat :D |
