| Apr 8 12:55:30 | Oh Look, Squids and Boulders | ♥ 0 | Congrats on making this game! What didn't you like about the engine? I really liked the sprites and animations you've made here, they look ace. The background and the rocks moving at different speeds make them feel like they were floating on the water (which I think was a cool effect for the tentacles...). I had fun playing a few times, movement felt nice and the game looks good. | |
| Apr 8 15:20:10 | 2h 24m | Esca - Ludum Dare 57 | ♥ 1 | Loved it, super cute graphics and fun gameplay loop. I thought the high score bug was from running using pygame on Mac maybe but see it's a general issue. Really a nice job overall, hope to play many more games from you in the future! |
| Apr 8 15:35:15 | 15m 05s | Earth Below | ♥ 1 | Cool mechanic, good sprites and concept. Found it pretty tough to get going on the 1st level, appreciate there was the training intro though and I thought the plunge into the depths at the start so I had an idea of how far I had to climb was great. Wish there has been some audio effects. Had a lot of fun making it all the way to the end even if I did resort to a bit of spam clicking at points and building a safety layer in the 2nd to last screen so I wouldn't plunge too far! Really fun game, well done! |
| Apr 9 15:22:55 | 23h 47m | Diggimeow | ♥ 2 | Loved it, really nicely made. Had loads of fun and think this is one of my fave Jam entries |
| Apr 12 14:45:55 | 71h 23m | Gobbo Steals a Drillship | ♥ 1 | Really liked the animation and the style of this puzzle game, the physics interactions for the controls are fun but agree that more juice would make them awesome. I did struggle with the puzzle itself at the start, so agree a little bit more of a tutorial or hint system might have helped. Shame about the little bug where you get locked to a control if you're picking up the coal or ball, that slowed me down at the start. Good luck with audio, it's always been the last thing I do but it adds so much to a game. Thanks for making! |
| Apr 12 15:11:38 | 25m 43s | Saving Turtle Rainn | ♥ 1 | Loved it, such a great atmosphere and fantastic bite-sized game. The repeated dialogue for no longer relevant actions was a pain but not a huge issue. I think short alt-dialogue could have worked well. I did enjoy the simplicity of the movement, (maybe safe chunks could have been more auto-move). The difficulty ramped in a nice curve and the story was very cute. Great dialogue, very nice graphics and loved the music. Really impressed. |
| Apr 12 15:52:10 | 40m 32s | Shroomberg | ♥ 1 | Love the theme and the gameplay was a nice version of a strategy game. Really was not a fan of the cursor, made things tricky in a way I don't think was intentional but it was cute 😆 It was cool though, I played for ages (messed up my first play through) |
| Apr 13 10:57:10 | 19h 05m | Into The Depths | ♥ 1 | Short but sweet! Good work 😄 My feedback would be to try and keep to one artistic style to make a game seem more polished, so just use pixel art or just use a line art style. I had fun playing, thanks for making. |
| Apr 13 11:20:48 | 23m 38s | Metaspace II: The Long Division | ♥ 2 | Loved it! |
| Apr 13 11:45:31 | 24m 43s | Where Stars Forget Your Name | ♥ 1 | Fun game! I liked the graphics, audio and game loop. I think I got close to the end, I'd purchased most upgrades but then the controls bugged out and I got sucked into a black hole. I had one bug that nearly ended the run as well where I got stuck inside a shop area after exiting. It was near a black hole. Luckily the only upgrades I deliberately didn't buy were the dampeners, so I had a little bit of extra thrust for handling black holes, managed to spam fire my way out. Great compo entry, thanks for making! |
| Apr 13 12:00:55 | 15m 24s | Cthonic Depths | ♥ 1 | Very cool idea, nice audio work. Definitely think spacing out the gameplay text or re-working that part of the UI would immediately improve how easy it is to parse what's going on. I enjoyed playing and would happily play more of this game if it existed! |
| Apr 13 12:56:49 | 55m 54s | Doomscrolling | ♥ 1 | Very interesting concept, think it needed some more balancing and the vocab UI wasn't that clear or helpful to me. Definitely seemed to have some issues with the restart upgrades as well, they didn't seem to get considered on a couple of runs. Overall though: really glad I played, nice graphics for the concept and kept me engaged. Thanks for making! |
| Apr 13 13:07:04 | 10m 15s | Drilly's Journey | ♥ 1 | Very cool concept, had loads of fun exploring. I think the graphical style really suited this game as well. Fantastic compo entry. I don't know how intentional being able to accidentally trip older checkpoints was as a design decision, I had mixed feelings about that! |
| Apr 15 15:38:31 | 50h 31m | Fisherman's Fiend | ♥ 1 | Loved the main character's look and animation, the heartbeat audio was a nice touch. Really liked the shroudcast game mechanic and had fun using it. Wasn't 100% sure about what the incursions meant for me losing the game? I never really found out but I played through to one of the endings 👉 Appreciated all the effort for the narrative and dialogue, overall a fun and atmospheric experience, thanks for making! |
| Apr 16 16:18:25 | 24h 39m | Puppeteer | ♥ 1 | Spectacular! Really impressed, that was a load of fun. Def had me scratching my head at one point but figured out that shift in mechanic and loved playing all the levels through. The clapping and the roses was such a nice touch for the style of the theatre. Standing ovation! |
| Apr 20 10:47:20 | 90h 28m | Depths Sickness | ♥ 1 | Great fun! Played for way longer than I expected to, really nice mechanics (some balance issues / bugs). Thanks for making! |
| Apr 20 11:01:07 | 13m 47s | Fall Off | ♥ 1 | @koolruz You should be able to move up to the top of the screen with W, I had problems with the arrow keys working (and gave up running in Firefox, switched to Chrome) Thanks for making, was fun to play, think a gentler difficulty ramp would be nice but an accomplishment for sure! Some real quick SFX would add a lot! |
| Apr 20 11:13:07 | 12m 00s | VoidQuest | ♥ 1 | Loved the background track, really nicely done. |
| Apr 21 08:14:22 | 21h 01m | Torpor | ♥ 1 | Very interesting concept, agree with other comments that the controls could be finessed and some kind of symbol tutorial/guide or expansion of that concept would really elevate it. A cool game, thanks for making! |
| Apr 21 12:35:21 | 4h 20m | Deep Dish Pizzagram | ♥ 0 | I absolutely loved this, so fun to have a little creative tool to make some animations with. Just hats off to you, I really liked the interpretation of the theme. Audio was lovely. |
| Apr 22 14:20:04 | 25h 44m | Grimm Syndrome | ♥ 2 | Very cool, nice concept and had fun playing. Love the party girl bopping animation (the art and animation overall was great) |
