Oct 4 21:37:28 Blow Ball ♥ 1 It's an interesting spin on games like pong or air hockey, however whenever the ball goes towards the posts on the sides, it's really hard to recover. It also feels hard to outplay your opponent since the ball feels like it stays on one axis. You blow it one direction and it feels like all you can do is get right behind it and blow it right back. After playing it for a bit I learned you could kind of come in at the side for a sudo curve shot, however it's not very clear that you can do it. However, all that aside the really enjoy the representation. It's a fun little game you can play with friends. Great work!
Oct 4 21:57:05 19m 37s Defrost ♥ 1 Fun with friends, but it's hard to tell where objectives are without a map or any UI to tell you where they are.
Oct 4 22:05:05 8m 00s Too Many Marbles ♥ 1 Game is super slow, taking a ton of time between turns. It's also super unbalanced. Since scores are tallied after every round the last player in the round has a giant advantage. There's also the problem of selecting a ball from a random selection. When there is a ball where it can't be moved once it's placed, then there is no more interaction with that marble for the rest of the match. Things like that kind of ruin the experience for me.
Oct 4 22:14:16 9m 11s VoidChamber ♥ 1 I love the central concept here. At first I was like, why wouldn't I just hold 'Q' but once I knew you could throw the cube, I feel for it. Being able to fly by throwing it over and over, and juggling it in a wall jump is really fun. My main gripe with the game is that the wall jump feels not so great and the jump feels inconsistently floaty.
Oct 4 22:18:53 4m 37s Untitled Roach Game ♥ 0 I'm not sure what happened, but it did happen and I found it funny
Oct 4 22:27:23 8m 30s Space Sumo King ♥ 1 It's a super fun and simple game that has a decent amount of replayability. Multiplayer could be fun in the future if you keep working with it.
Oct 4 22:38:47 11m 24s TEMPLE IS ACID (feat. Bees 🐝) ♥ 3 This is awesome, I loved every second of it. The only problem I found was that you can camp out projectile slimes by sitting at the top of the screen since projectiles get destroyed by the bottom part of the wall. It means you can just hover at the top and there is 0 risk of getting hit, but everything else is super polished. I will be continuing to play this after the jam.
Oct 5 03:33:31 4h 54m Untitled Goo Game ♥ 2 This is a fun little experience, good job!
Oct 5 03:46:16 12m 45s Wide Truck Simulator ♥ 1 Super fun mechanic to play around with. Car felt a little hard to control at times, but other than that the game was fun
Oct 5 03:55:02 8m 46s Escape the Slime Lab ♥ 1 I think its a pretty innovative concept that works pretty well. I'm also a big fan of the graphics, they are super clean.
Oct 5 04:06:00 10m 58s Tiny Farm Island ♥ 1 Honestly, the number one thing that stood out to me was the music. It eased me in and creating that fun, relaxing vibe.
Oct 5 04:17:44 11m 44s Torch ♥ 2 Big fan of the cell shaded artstyle and thought it blended really well with your light based mechanics.
Oct 5 04:26:17 8m 33s Wizard n' Slims ♥ 2 This game is soooo satisfying, it feels clear to just completely wipe out waves
Oct 5 13:09:32 8h 43m Le Monde de Cortex ♥ 3 This was a cute little game. I will say if you bunny hop around the planet you will get to a point where you are just orbiting the planet super fast (which I think is fun but that might not be the intension)
Oct 5 13:25:03 15m 31s Glutton-Free ♥ 2 I really commend you for finding a simple, yet really fun gameplay loop, and polishing it as much as possible. It really showed!
Oct 5 13:51:27 26m 24s Death Robot Of Doom ♥ 1 Huge fan of the inventory system, however some pieces feel hard to work with at times. For example I couldn't find an orientation where the AK47 fit in well so I was going to sacrifice inventory space no matter what. Which I think is super clever game design, but it felt weak for the fact I was giving up more space than it was marketed as. Other than the the core gameplay loop is super addicting and I love your art assets. Super great job!
Oct 5 22:21:59 8h 30m Cranedemonium ♥ 1 Overall a super fun game! Playing around with physics is always a good time. My only gripe is I wish I could control the sensitivity of crane in the settings or something. It could be fun to customize the game that way so once you get better you can try and run through the game faster. But thats just a quality of life thing, other than that it's super goof. Nice work!
Oct 6 17:31:50 19h 09m Carl's Limited Adventure ♥ 3 I don't know how you did that, but it plays off of the theme so well. Simply amazing creativity.
Oct 7 00:19:42 6h 47m Walled In! ♥ 1 I love the simple, yet charming visuals. I'm just a big sucker for good pico 8 games and this is a new one to add to my list. Good job!
Oct 7 00:28:03 8m 21s Burn Beetle ♥ 2 The visuals for this game are absolutely stunning. Easily the best looking one I've played so far. The mechanics of the game and the visual/audio feedback were also excellent. My only problem is that once you've played through it once, it loses its luster due to how short/simple the first level is. Overall it's a great proof of concept and something I think can be greatly expanded on into the future if y'all decide to continue to work on it. It has so much promise.
Oct 7 00:53:54 25m 51s Haxwell Modem: Beyond the Firewall ♥ 2 I really enjoyed the sound and the overall feel of hitting a perfect parry. I will say I wish that there were more variety of enemies to fight. I also didn't know why I was moving onto next sections. I assume it's because I reached the "exit" of that floor, but there aren't any visual distinctions between the final room and normal rooms.
Oct 7 01:21:11 27m 17s Cyberframe EDEN ♥ 1 Absolutely stunning art all around. Obviously the character look great, but I'm more impressed by the amount/quality of the UI design. Without that, especially in a card game, the game would have not come together as well without it. I understand you guys didn't make the audio, but I will commend you for your choice of audio since it ties so well to the art direction of the game. Gameplay wise, this shit is addicting, but I do wish I had more options in the beginning. I enjoy receiving new cards after every game, however I think giving the player some options for those first few fights would help the game/turns feel repetitive. Maybe having the player stick with the default deck for the first fight then after that giving them a gift of 5 parts, so they have more options for the next few fights. This would give so many more options to choose from. Overall, this game is an incredible achievement for a weekend jam, and an incredible simple, yet engaging gameplay loop. I highly encourage y'all to continue development, adding some more parts and enemies and putting this on Steam. It's that good.
Oct 7 15:38:26 14h 17m Grid Bots ♥ 1 The visuals and audio are really fun, and the gameplay in general is super responsive which makes it really fun to play. The main drawback for me is how disorientating the isometric view is. I know other people have addressed this in other comments, but I actually don't mind the isometric view. The main problem comes from jumping not feeling like your leaving the ground since there isn't anything (like a shadow) that portrays your distance from the ground. This is seperate from the isometric view, but some sort of indicator that the ground is going away apart from the ground shaking since it's hard to see that.
Oct 13 14:20:12 142h 41m The Boxing Goat ♥ 2 I really enjoyed the concept behind the rope and how you're able to create difficulty by making it easier to get yourself tied up. I did have a bug where I couldn't pick up the star, so it never disappeared but I think it gave me invincibility since I could no longer take any damage. That's just my best guess of what happened, but I kept trying to run into projectiles & enemies and I couldn't take any damage. However my first playthrough was completely fine since I never encountered a star. Despite the bug, the game is fun and challenging, this is good work.
