| Oct 9 23:26:29 | Rush Station | ♥ 1 | Very cute! Wonder if you played Cab Ride for PICO-8. Reminded me of it (due to the passengers/train theme, pixel art and the color palette) felt like I'm playing that game from another perspective | |
| Oct 10 22:13:16 | 22h 46m | A Bit Too Hot | ♥ 3 | Cool innovative mechanics. It's a pity there are bugs associated with it, but I managed to get the hang of it on the second try and complete the game. Great music and cute visuals. Despite the fact that you've come up with a unique mechanic, it became too overpowered. Essentially, it negates the need for movement using WASD, and the character can just be dragged across the entire level. If it's some special ability, you might want to think about limiting its utilization. But it's not necessary, even as it is, dragging the character through the level, trying not to drop him into the lava, is fun |
| Oct 10 22:24:41 | 11m 25s | appendage bedlam | ♥ 4 | A cute attempt at creating organic-flesh-horror levels; the textures and sounds are fitting. The gameplay is fairly basic, but if you add health points, this prototype could very well serve as a foundation for a survival horror game. |
| Oct 10 22:35:33 | 10m 52s | BIT Busters : Virus Warfare | ♥ 2 | The build seems broken, or I just can't figure out how to pass the second level. In any case, it's a good use of the theme. Nice work on the OS UI graphics. It's a pity you can't click "Write" in the "I'm near you" windows |
| Oct 10 22:47:33 | 12m 00s | Celestial Retaliation | ♥ 3 | Very cool graphics. Good use of the theme and nice implementation of a shoot 'em up game. Great work! The music seemed too calm, which doesn't quite fit such an action-paced game. It also doesn't seem very logical/obvious to die from colliding with clouds, but let's assume these futuristic space ships can't handle turbulence. |
| Oct 10 23:05:44 | 18m 11s | Claustrophobia | ♥ 3 | Awesome game! I loved absolutely everything about it! Excellent work on the atmosphere, conveying fears and the sensation of claustrophobia through imagery and interaction. Great job subverting the player's expectations; I especially enjoyed that aspect. Good level design and sound design. The graphics are very nice as well. |
| Oct 10 23:26:10 | 20m 26s | Dark Reflect_ions | ♥ 1 | Good job on creating the atmosphere for a horror game. It's a pity that the gameplay and logic are somewhat broken, but in any case, this prototype could serve as a foundation for a real horror quest game. |
| Oct 10 23:31:34 | 5m 24s | Dungeon Heroes | ♥ 1 | Innovative mechanics and good use of the theme. With further development, this project could turn into an innovative RPG puzzle game. |
| Oct 10 23:44:04 | 12m 30s | Event Horizon Evasion | ♥ 1 | Simple set of mechanics, a few bugs, but otherwise, the prototype is functional and ok. Good job adapting the classic Doodle Jump mechanics to the game jam's theme. |
| Oct 10 23:58:11 | 14m 07s | Hanabatake | ♥ 3 | Great work on the graphics, audio, style, and vibe of the game. Everything is consistent. It's cool that you developed innovative puzzle game mechanics. However, it lacks a tutorial and a clearer explanation of the mechanics. Overall, the game seems quite simple and it appears that one can play it mindlessly, just placing flowers next to each other until you hit a deadlock, if you're unlucky. This mechanic and level generation need further development. But for a game jam, this is a good prototype. It can be further developed and polished, and has the potential to become an innovative puzzle game |
| Oct 11 00:17:32 | 19m 21s | Whispers in the Shadows | ♥ 0 | Good job creating a puzzle through visuals and narrative. Unfortunately, for me personally, these riddles were either too difficult or not specific enough, so I couldn't figure out the password. Still, good job on the atmosphere and 3D graphics. It’s an interesting set of mechanics and narrative. |
| Oct 11 00:37:33 | 20m 01s | Vampire Jump | ♥ 0 | A good reinvention of Doodle Jump mechanics! It just lacks balance, as it seems very hard to lose here. You accumulate spaces much faster than you use them for jumps. Nice vampire atmosphere. The consistency of graphic styles could use some improvement. |
| Oct 11 00:47:25 | 9m 52s | I also was a detective once but then... | ♥ 1 | Wonderful detailed pixel graphics. Excellent style, excellent noir atmosphere, nice dialogues. A couple of minor bugs (for example, there's no hint when to press E on the 2nd floor when the light is off), but overall, great work! |
| Oct 11 00:56:32 | 9m 07s | Trapped in the Infinite Script | ♥ 2 | The fears, emotions, anxieties, and phobias of the character are excellently conveyed. Good job on creating the game’s atmosphere and cool graphics. Well-chosen sound effects that correctly switch according to what’s happening in the game. Great work! |
| Oct 11 01:03:35 | 7m 03s | rosie's escape | ♥ 1 | The controls are not very clear, so I'm not sure I was able to explore the entire game. Nevertheless, the style and vibe are cute. |
| Oct 11 01:29:30 | 25m 55s | The Labyrinth of Madness | ♥ 4 | Good attempt at creating a creepy atmosphere. It's a pity there is no interactivity. But the level design is good, I see that you tried to implement a narration through the environment. Also nice graphics. + respect for the final part of the game :) |
| Oct 11 22:41:46 | 21h 12m | Labyrinth of the Minotaurs | ♥ 1 | It's a pity there's no progression in this game. It would be relatively easy to implement: vary the number or behavior of enemies based on time, change the spawn rate of boxes based on time, or alter the character's attributes based on time. Anyway, it is a good foundation for a survival arena. |
| Oct 11 22:52:58 | 11m 12s | Illusion | ♥ 2 | A very cute and funny game! Short levels, but with varied content. I'm not sure if there are other endings in the game, but the ending with the sun was very unexpected and funny. The graphics are cute, but there's a noticeable difference in the resolution of the sprites. In the case of pixel art, you should aim for the pixels of the sprites to be of a similar size. |
| Oct 11 23:11:56 | 18m 58s | Locked in the DARK | ♥ 3 | Good job! Excellent work on the atmosphere and nice pixel graphics. Good level design; I liked the dead ends from which there's no escape. I managed to reach the Floppa and complete the level! |
| Oct 11 23:15:46 | 3m 50s | Borderline | ♥ 2 | It's a pity you didn't finish the game, but the scene that's present in the game looks promising |
| Oct 12 00:03:16 | 47m 30s | Keep It Burning | ♥ 3 | Good graphics and atmosphere. Well-thought-out level and obstacles within it. A minor issue is that the solid tiles and some of the background tiles are of the same shade, making them sometimes hard to distinguish and forcing players to guess. Background tiles are generally better off being a different shade. But if that was the intention, then kudos. Although, the level did end up being very challenging. |
| Oct 12 00:13:17 | 10m 01s | Inside OUT - Mind Maze | ♥ 2 | Good work on creating the atmosphere of a psychological horror, utilizing very fitting sounds while using primitive graphics. The concept is conveyed simply and effectively. However, I couldn't find the way out of the maze. Though perhaps that was intentional! |
| Oct 12 07:18:34 | 7h 05m | reflexion | ♥ 1 | An interesting interpretation of the theme |
| Oct 12 07:26:39 | 8m 05s | Puss In Box | ♥ 1 | It's really cool that you have a set of diverse mechanics. Funny and great narrative. Loved the variety of cats. |
| Oct 13 11:50:01 | 28h 23m | Ma|n|dness at shopping | ♥ 1 | Very cool project! Excellent use of the theme, good humor, and wonderful graphics! It's great that you have implemented many mechanics. Perhaps there's a need for some kind of time constraint (for example time until the store closes) for some extra-challenge. Also the target markers look like markings on the floor, and I didn't realize at first that they actually appear above the shelves. Anyway, a perfect game jam submission! I just finished playing Dredge, so I have experience in stacking things in a tile-based inventory :) |
