| Jan 8 23:53:00 | HARVEST | ♥ 2 | Really cool. Was a bit confusing to figure out when you could build or not but once i understood that it made sense. Really clever tradeoffs between expanding vs harvesting. Nice evocative mood and music too. | |
| Jan 9 00:06:42 | 13m 42s | Harvest - Food Cut | ♥ 2 | This is amazing. The faces and sounds are so charming, and the pacing is great. The voice effects are perfect. Nice job making something simple but thoroughly enjoyable. |
| Jan 9 00:15:51 | 9m 09s | Down to Earth | ♥ 0 | This was fun! I like the mix of farming game and action. There was a lot going on, i think it might be better if instead of having to press E to take an action if it just automatically plant, harvest or pick up if you run over something, since I can't see many cases where you wouldn't want to take the action (and even if there were, that would add more strategy to the movement). Overall nice game and felt pretty complete for a compo entry. |
| Jan 9 00:22:44 | 6m 53s | Hardcore Combine Harvester | ♥ 1 | This was a fun idea, and executed well. The controls were very good, unresponsive in an intentional way that felt like a heavy machine. Nice job! |
| Jan 9 00:31:14 | 8m 30s | That is so Cereal - A Cerealia Adventure | ♥ 1 | Good start! I was only able to harvest the first wheat, after that it didnt seem to pick them up, not sure if I'm missing something or if it wasn't implemented. It did give you the sense of a large open world with a lot of potential. |
| Jan 9 00:37:38 | 6m 24s | YO, HARV! | ♥ 2 | Nice! Lots of fun and a lot of character. Really fun and stylish take on a classic game, and it was fun to realize the mechanics. |
| Jan 9 00:46:53 | 9m 15s | Drillydown | ♥ 0 | web build didn't work for me on chrome/mac either |
| Jan 9 00:54:39 | 7m 46s | A Farmer's nightmare | ♥ 2 | This was pretty fun, and had a surprising amount of depth once i understood it. I liked the flavor text ("let me know if it's too scary"), it gave it a nice contrast with the dark theme. Neat mechanic too, harvesting without "painting yourself into a corner". Good job! |
| Jan 9 01:19:27 | 24m 48s | Salvage City | ♥ 1 | Web version worked for me. This was really fun, the giant sandworm eating the city was a great mechanic. The rebuilding was not as interested, maybe there was some strategy to it that I didn't understand but I just wanted to get back to the eating buildings. Also great art choices using the colors. The sandworm movement was really neat, but the graphics were a little choppy, sometimes it looked a little collapsed or crumpled. Great game tho, neat idea. |
| Jan 9 03:21:02 | 2h 01m | Búskap | ♥ 1 | Really good, and cool to see more card games in a LDJAM! This was a lot of fun as a kind of "push your luck" solitaire. Would have liked to see more control or ways to manipulate the stacks when you get a bad draw, like splitting or rearranging or something. Nice job, and it's hard to get a card game that feels complete like this in a short time! |
| Jan 9 03:37:24 | 16m 22s | Word Salad | ♥ 1 | Wow, really original! And a huge game with many screens given the scope of a game jam. I loved the theme and the idea of growing words to fill in a mad-lib style! The only thing I didn't really like was the dragging minigame, it was a little frantic for a word game, i think maybe a more idle or puzzly kind of minigame would be a better fit. Also, there were a lot of steps, which could good but it also could be a chance to streamline it. Overall great idea and a ton of potential. |
| Jan 9 03:41:09 | 3m 45s | Shaded Flowers | ♥ 1 | This looks really cool but didn't run for me on an intel mac, i think it needs a ARM mac, I got an error "bad CPU type in executable: ./shaded-flowers-ld-52". I'd love to play it. |
| Jan 9 03:47:16 | 6m 07s | Rabbit's Carrot Rush | ♥ 0 | Hey, i had some trouble getting this to run on mac, but eventually it ran (I had to override the security warnings, and chmod 755 the executable), but then it was stuck on the title screen. I couldn't get the game to start. Rabbits looked really cute though! |
| Jan 9 03:52:26 | 5m 10s | Boyar | ♥ 1 | I didn't get it. The cows were cute, and I liked the distinct visual style and humor. |
| Jan 9 04:05:09 | 12m 43s | Space Harvest | ♥ 1 | Fun game! I like the population feedback loop idea and the graphs were great. Would love to see some representation of the bunny civilization on the planet or some kind of character for them. Fun idle game! |
| Jan 9 04:11:38 | 6m 29s | Grandma's Garden of Crystals | ♥ 1 | Interesting. Very poetic, and cool to see a narrative game. I liked the illustrations and the character of the cat. |
| Jan 9 04:17:21 | 5m 43s | Death's Hand | ♥ 0 | This was a solid implementation of solitaire, but it didn't really feel like it fit the theme to me. |
| Jan 9 04:26:16 | 8m 55s | A Grain for Grim | ♥ 3 | Fun, very stardew valley feeling. The planting interface felt a bit confusing interface-wise, i think it could be streamlined a little and more player feedback would help. Still an impressive amount of stuff in there for a game jam! |
| Jan 9 04:29:24 | 3m 08s | Light Runner | ♥ 1 | Neat! A fun little runner. Didn't feel too connected to the Harvest theme, but was fun and responsive. |
| Jan 9 04:35:49 | 6m 25s | Happy Piggy Farm 2 | ♥ 1 | Darkly funny. The story and graphics were cute and engaging. The harvesting mechanics felt a little klunky, the aiming felt overly complicated and using the right button was hard with a trackpad. |
| Jan 11 19:39:40 | 63h 03m | Death In Time | ♥ 1 | Good job making it cute and morbid at the same time, it somehow works. Looks fantastic and really amazing level of polish for a game jam. The camera was a little distracting, i think it might have worked better with a fixed camera or a more traditional follow camera but it did highlight the nice disc-shaped levels. Really great (and grim) work. |
| Jan 11 19:48:16 | 8m 36s | Farm to Table: Wizard Edition | ♥ 0 | Haha this was a very fun farming game and the theme really added a lot. The artwork was playful and humorous. I was on a trackpad so using the right-click was awkward for such a frequent action but i managed to play it. I liked the voice snippets from the customers. My only complaint was the time pressure didn't really fit with a farming game, which feels like it should be more chill and laid-back. I think either the customers could not have a timer, or the interactions could be streamlined like overcooked. Pretty impressive to build a game with so many moving parts in a jam, nice work. |
| Jan 11 19:55:17 | 7m 01s | Plant, Harvest, Make money! | ♥ 1 | Neat idea. The interface was the biggest obstacle for me, more player feedback to what was going on and keeping to one interaction (just drag, or just click buttons) would help. But once i understood the puzzles it was a clever little puzzle game. Nice job. |
| Jan 11 20:00:17 | 5m 00s | Hare Runner | ♥ 4 | amazing level of production. Graphics, music and sound were fantastic. Also was seriously funny. The gameplay felt solid but could have been a little more responsive feeling. The backgrounds looked nice but were a little bit nondescript and random compared to the high level of polish on everything else. Overall amazing work. |
| Jan 11 20:04:42 | 4m 25s | Mun Fields | ♥ 3 | Looks great, an I love the concept of the plants acting different in different environments. However it was too confusing for me, would have like have some more kinds and more feedback to understand what was going on. The dynamic lighting and day/night cycle was a great touch. |
